Chapter 473: Plundering a personal room!

Upon returning to the realm this time, Sheyan discovered an increased influx of individuals. The crimson incandesce of the nightmare realm had similarly thickened exponentially, its dazzling flickers caused one’s blood to rush forth incessantly. It seemed like the realm war had caused relatively heavier casualties, and the realm was starting to replenish itself with new members.

Presently, Reef and Mogensha were both awaiting Sheyan anxiously. Fortunately, Reef was aware of Sheyan attempting to awaken his innate in the present world, thus, he and Mogensha remained patient; forking out utility points and potential points, as they engaged in training inside the realm.

Once Sheyan returned to the realm, he was quickly greeted by Mogensha and Reef. Reef greeted him with, ”Have you succeeded?”, while Mogensha bluntly asked, ”What’re the attributes of your awakened innate?” From the two different greetings, one could tell brother Black held more confidence in Sheyan.

After the trio assembled, the first concern naturally pertained to Sheyan’s innate. As the specifics of his innate couldn’t be shared, Mogensha and Reef could only click their tongues in astonishment after listening to the improvements. Following their discussion, they swiftly touched upon the topic of consumption.

That’s correct, the topic of consumption. With the trio’s amassed fortune, they needed to convert their cash into battle capabilities; employing the least amount required to settle their necessities. As such, this became their present top priority.

After a series of discussions, they decided on several few important tasks.

Firstly, without a doubt, to investigate the harvest from that ‘Ruby Card*’.

(TN:*The ruby card from Makaji that they acquired after killing Lille. A rare drop of a Growth-hunter)

Secondly, Mogensha hoped to upgrade his black grade ‘Viperwolf’s Beard’ to the next grade. Thus, he needed to purchase a compatible horcrux. Coincidentally, Mogensha discovered an item in the marketplace, which had a secret relation to his incomplete ‘Sparta Spear’; with that, he could possibly mend his ‘Sparta Spear’. If at that time, his personal economic condition were to hamper his progress, then he wished that his party members would support him.

Reef also made a request – desiring to upgrade his ‘Birmingham ‘Stuka’ Hand-dart Pocket Sling’ to a Silver storyline grade weapon. The remainder of his capital would then be used unconditionally, to aid the party.

Sheyan too wanted to upgrade his ‘Barbaric-demon Pupil’ to a Silver storyline grade equipment. Furthermore, he had a ‘Sturmbeest Horcrux’ available, and didn’t need to spend on it. Next, for him to wield that ‘+7 West’ Saber, Sheyan had to improve his basic abilities. Minimally, his ‘Basic Close Combat’ had to be raised to lvl 7, while also learning the advanced ability ‘Saber Fluency’ to lvl 4 (or a stronger advanced ability).

If any surplus remained, they would then consider enhancing their equipments. Nonetheless, the topic of enhancing equipments was like a bottomless pit – requiring fixed equipment enhancing fees, in addition to a percentage of the upgraded equipment value, potential points and even achievement points! Moveover, the difficulty rate of enhancing was relatively high; don’t even mention enhancing to +7, even +4 enhancements were rarely seen.

There wasn’t time to lose, as Sheyan quickly retrieved that ‘Ruby Card’. The ‘Ruby Card’ previously had a crystal pure red shade, but after returning to the realm, it had peculiarly turned dim without a single glint. While they were deliberating over it, Sheyan pondered while holding the ‘Ruby Card’ while he paced around the nightmare realm’s marketplace. When he approached the west region of the marketplace, the ‘Ruby Card’ suddenly emitted a weak red glow.

”This is the direction!” Sheyan’s spirit was instantly bolstered. The trio immediately advanced forward. Every time they headed in the wrong direction, the glow of the ‘Ruby card’ would weaken. Therefore, as they advanced like flies without a head, its red glow turned richer as though forming into essence itself. Very rapidly, when the trio reached an area of wall of the nightmare realm, the ‘Ruby card’ abruptly hovered out of his hand. It slotted, no, precisely saying, it melted into the wall like a flesh paste.

Closely following, a sliding door was activated.

The holder of the ‘Ruby card’, Sheyan, managed to step into the room. Instead, Mogensha and Reef were both unable to do so, evidently because they weren’t owners of the card. Within a second, the sliding door was closed shut. At present, all Sheyan could see was darkness. A list of notification from the nightmare imprint then resounded in his ears.

[ Employing a Ruby Card, you infiltrated a deceased Growth-hunter’s personal room ]

[ You receive 11,000 utility points and 7 potential points ]

[ The military rank of this Growth-hunter is Reserve-duty Lieutenant Colonel. If you wish to obtain some of his achievement points, there may be a small possibility of variations to the official status of your military rank. Do you wish to engage? ]

As Sheyan read the notification, he very regretfully selected ‘no’. If he really lost his official status and was changed to reserve-duty status, his tears would definitely flow.

[ In this personal room, every equipment / item / weapon that the deceased Growth-hunter possessed before he died, will surface ]

[ You only have 10 seconds to engage in plundering. Once the deadline is reached, you will be transported out of this room ]

[ Your current military rank is First Lieutenant. You cannot obtain any private credentials. Therefore, during the plundering process, you can only differentiate the grade of equipments / items / weapons through their glow; unable to examine their properties. You can at most plunder up to 3 (equipments / items / scrolls etc) before leaving ]

[ If you are clear of the plundering regulations, you can choose to commence and your 10 seconds duration will be activated ]

Before selecting ‘yes’, Sheyan carefully inspected the rules. Then he charged like a lunatic into the deceased Makaji’s personal room! Upon entering, he immediately cursed ‘f*** this’!

As it turns out, Makaji’s personal room was actually larger than Sheyan’s ‘snail shell’ by 2-3 times! Its interior was decorated in luxurious furnitures!

Please do not belittle these furnitures. For example, that Chateaudax sofa could prolong one’s stay in the realm by 10% after resting on it for an hour. There was a splendorous and majestic rosewood bed that boosted health regeneration by 33%, after resting on it for half an hour; with a duration of 72 hours, and could even be brought to the present world. A Jonvight intelligent water dispenser could dispense drinking water, that would boost one’s spirit and mental recovery by 15%....

Nevertheless, Sheyan had no time to bother with such furnitures, but charged frantically to the deepest regions of the personal room. Stomping the door open, he still had 6 seconds of time…...a blinding radiance sparkled before his eyes. Atop a long conference table, Makaji’s personal collections were arranged fully.

Without caring to inspect closely, Sheyan started operating his hands!

”WOW oh, that thing emits a dull golden radiance!!! Why the need to hesitate?”

”What is that, is that a book? Oh, not correct, it resembles a scroll.”

”Shit, that book is glittering with a blood maroon glow! What does that even represent? That’s too strange.”

”Ah, damn it, 1 second left. I can only grab this silver glowing object, fine, that it is!!”

10 seconds later, Sheyan was pushed out of the room with a soft yet incomparably immense force. After a flash in his eyes, he once again stood within the marketplace of the nightmare realm. This time, his hand was holding onto 3 objects.

One was a pendant that appeared like a crayon, resembling a lipstick a female would carry around all the time. That was the object emitting a dull golden radiance.

A scroll that looked like a folded and tattered ancient paper scroll. It was emanating a shuddering blood shimmer.

A cross with a faint silverish glow.

As Sheyan shared the information out, the attributes of the three items were fully displayed.

The cross was:

[ Toni’s Horcrux (rare) ]

[ Item rarity: Silver Storyline grade ]

[ Usage effects: Upon infusing with a Black grade equipment / weapon, it will transform it into a soul equipment, and upgrade the equipment / weapon into a Silver Storyline grade. ]

[ Warning: If Horcrux is not compatible with equipment, the horcrux will be destroyed. ]

[ Material: Ghost ]

[ Weight: 3g ]

[ Description: This is a sacred cross, shackling the soul of the rapacious and hellish vampire Toni! Tormented by silver and holy water, tossing and turning restlessly for the past few millenniums, he cannot wait for a change in environment. Therefore, no matter what equipment, this horcrux possesses a relatively high compatibility rate; apart from Magic type weapons and equipments, as vampire Tony only employs his fangs and claws in battling. ]

The ancient paper scroll was called:

[ Dead Sea Scroll, remnant page. ]

[ Item rarity: The sole copy in this realm. In every nightmare realm, at the same time, an object of this category will surface. ]

[ Usage effect: A mystified secret power resides in this remnant page, drafted with papyrus paper from the era of 4000 BCE. Once you unfold it in any nightmare world, it will indicate the location of a hidden buried secret! ]

[ Warning: Once you activate this remnant page, you may encounter tremendous untold

[ Please be warned: The final rarity degree of the hidden treasure or benefit you gain will be at random, and follow accordingly to the circumstances of that world. For example, using it in the Avatar world previously, may allow one to acquire an exceptionally grand divine item. However, if using it in the Terminator world previously, then even after painstaking efforts, you may possibly acquire just a mere 2 american dollar a random kid buried in a tin can somewhere. Of course, such a situation can be reversed for both worlds (treasure from Avatar world immensely small, while Terminator world immensely huge). ]

[ Putting it bluntly; this remnant chapter is like a random mission of relatively high difficulty, but its mission rewards would also be random. There is a possibility of painstakingly finishing said mission, but receiving just a pile of garbage. Nonetheless, one can also receive an amazing reward. ]
