Be Gentle, My Master

The Old Madam’s words shocked many people.

Bei Qingyue immediately looked at the Old Madam and said anxiously, “Mother, Yun’er indeed made a mistake this time, but isn’t expelling her from the Bei Family too harsh a punishment?”

Nangong Yun, for better or worse, is her biological daughter. To never allow her back to the Bei Family, isn’t that like abandoning her own daughter!

“Grandma, I am your granddaughter! How can you do this for the sake of…”

“Shut up!” Bei Qingyue kicked out a foot.

The unsuspecting Nangong Yun was instantly kicked to the side.

After being kicked by her mother, Nangong Yun finally woke up.

Only then did she realize, the Old Madam was not joking now.

She’s really going to expel her from the Bei Family for the sake of Bei Xier, this illegitimate child.

“Mom, please help me, I don’t want to leave the Bei Family!”

Nangong Yun couldn’t maintain her composure anymore.

If she were expelled from the Bei Family, it would mean her qualifications to run for Clan Leader would be revoked, and she could forget about sitting in the Clan Leader seat of the Bei Miao Clan for the rest of her life.

If she could be elected, in the future, when her power grew strong,

This old hag, she would definitely disregard her.

But if she doesn’t even have the chance to run for election, what fallback does she have?

“Grandma, Grandma, I know I was wrong, I was just anxious to save Xi’er, I didn’t do it on purpose.”

Nangong Yun, understanding the severity, crawled on her knees to the Old Madam.

At this moment, she no longer cared about face or dignity, only hoping the Old Madam would rescind her decision.

“Grandma, I beg you, give me another chance, I won’t dare anymore.”

“I give you a chance, but did you ever give Xi’er a chance?”

If it weren’t for Mu Xiaoyao taking a stab for Xi’er, would Xi’er even be alive to come back now?

What kind of person Nangong Yun is, how could her grandmother not understand at all?

If she wasn’t her biological granddaughter, this person would have been kicked out long ago.

“Grandma, I truly know I was wrong, punish me, beat me, okay?”

Nangong Yun threw herself at her legs, clinging to her leg: “Grandma, I beg you, forgive me.”

“Mom, Yun’er is a candidate for the new Clan Leader, if you expel her now, who will participate in the Clan Leader election?”

Although Bei Qingyue had given up hope for Nangong Yun, at least don’t let her be expelled just like that.

“Mom, if the position of Clan Leader is taken by someone from another family, our Bei Family can’t afford that loss.”

Baili Xia felt somewhat awkward at once.

This matter concerns the Bei Family, though she is also part of the Bei Family, they don’t know it.

To handle Bei Family matters in front of outsiders, even the Old Madam would feel quite helpless.

Meanwhile, Mu Xiaoyao and Bei Fengjin, one standing and one sitting, watched this farce before them, very pleased with themselves.

Just like… watching a play.

Of course, the people involved don’t have the mind to care about them right now.

Bringing up the issue of the Clan Leader election, the Old Madam grew even angrier.

“Look at you, this woman, what have you done all these years? What qualifications does she have to participate in the Clan Leader election.”

“But, Yun’er is now the only candidate!” Bei Qingyue said in a deep voice.

“Who said she’s the only candidate? I can change the candidates at any time!”

Bei Qingyue and Nangong Yun were both shocked, knowing this time the Old Madam was truly angry.

This matter is definitely not a joke.

Nangong Yun, helpless, could only bite her lip hard and kneel towards Bei Xier.

“Xi’er, I really didn’t mean to, please plead with Grandma, ask her to forgive me.”
