Soul Emperor Martial God

Chapter 675: Chapter 675: The Situation in the Central Region

On the eastern seashore,

Xiao Yi gazed out at the azure ocean before him, deep in thought.

After leaving the Asura Hall, he had come here.

This ocean before him, known as the Eastern Ocean, was an extremely vast, seemingly endless body of water.

However, the demon beasts within were not strong, capped at Level 5 Demonic Beasts.

Almost no Martial Artists would come here to train or hunt demon beasts.

For one, aquatic demon beasts generally had huge bodies and were fiercer than humans; even if they were to lose, they could immediately escape back to the depths of the ocean, leaving ordinary Human Martial Artists helpless against them.

Moreover, the ocean, unlike the land, was very troublesome.

Thus, the training effect here was not very good.

Second, the Eastern Ocean was too vast, providing ample food resources for the demon beasts, so they rarely came into conflict with Human Martial Artists.

Therefore, beast tides hardly ever erupted here.

Naturally, this rarely drew Martial Artists to come and hunt.

Undoubtedly, the ocean he had seen before falling unconscious after passing through that spatial turmoil was this Eastern Ocean.

It was also here where Du Youyou had rescued him after he had fallen into the ocean.

Although he didn’t know why the ocean was so blue and so calm, Xiao Yi always felt there was something unusual about it.

Xiao Yi gazed out into the distance.

Beyond the azure sea and the endless white clouds, there was nothing special.

There were no signs of any spatial turmoil either.

”Sigh,” Xiao Yi deeply inhaled and shook his head, deciding not to dwell on it anymore.

He now had a good understanding of the situation in the Central Region.

The Central Region was the central area of the Flame Dragon Continent.

Like the Eastern Domain, this place had kingdoms, countless Martial Artists, countless Sect forces, and so on.

However, the Central Region was much larger than the Eastern Domain—thousands, tens of thousands of times larger—Xiao Yi couldn’t be sure.

The Central Region was too vast to imagine, even impossible to calculate or record accurately.

The population here and the number of Martial Artists was also much greater than in the Eastern Domain.

Currently, he was in the territory of the Fengxu Kingdom.

The Fengxu Kingdom, in terms of area, was about the same size as the Flame Martial Kingdom, containing many counties and cities.

Breeze City was one of those cities.

The Fengxu Kingdom, backed by the ocean, enjoyed a gentle breeze throughout the year, making the climate very pleasant.

It was a kingdom with a leisurely local atmosphere.

Especially here in Breeze City, there were many Alchemists; from the people he had met, apart from a few exceptions, most were quite friendly.

Next, there was the situation of the Ancient Eight Halls.

The Ancient Eight Halls were the oldest eight forces on the Flame Dragon Continent.

During the Ancient Times, in order to combat the demon beasts that ravaged the entire continent, Human Martial Artists united to establish them.

Right, not only the Demon Hunting Hall, but the other seven halls were also created to combat demon beasts back then.

However, in the Eastern Domain, the inheritance declined, and most of the ancient inheritances vanished into the long river of history.

Only the Demon Hunting Hall still existed.

In the Central Region, however, all eight halls continued their inheritance and were considered the oldest and most powerful eight forces of the Flame Dragon Continent.

The forces of the Eight Palaces, their branches, spread throughout the entire Central Region.

Among them, because the Martial Artists in different places revered different Ancient Halls, some kingdoms did not have branches of individual Ancient Halls.

For instance, in the Fengxu Kingdom, they exclusively revered the Wind Shattering Hall.

There were almost no branches of other halls here.

In the Fengxu Kingdom, the majority of Martial Artists practiced Wind Attribute Martial Arts.

The Warriors of the Wind Shattering Hall all practiced Wind Attribute Martial Arts as well.

Additionally, during the Ancient Times, each of the eight halls had its own specific profession.

The founders of these eight halls, who were Great Powers with distinct Martial Arts, also ensured that even today, the legacies of the eight halls were quite different.

For example, the Demon Hunting Hall; during the Ancient Times, any Martial Artist could join, and it had the most members.

No demon beast is spared; upon sighting one, it must be slain.

The warriors within are known as Demon Hunters.

Only Wind Attribute Martial Artists can join the Wind Shattering Hall.

They possessed formidable Wind Control Abilities and during the Ancient Times in their battles against demon beasts, they specialized in reconnaissance and intelligence.

The warriors within are known as Wind Masters.

Black Demon Hall is most diverse, housing warriors skilled in Formation, refining, Body Cultivation, and more.

Regrettably, truly outstanding ones are few.

In tales from the Ancient Times, Black Demon Hall was best at deceitful assaults, often securing unexpected victories.

...

The warriors of the Eight Palaces and their Inheritances vary greatly.

In the Ancient Times during their battles against demon beasts, they also had distinct responsibilities.

Among them, the most dazzling, most celebrated, and central to our tale is the Asura Hall.

If the warriors of each Ancient Hall are the elite among ordinary warriors,

then warriors from the Asura Hall are the elite of the elite.

Asura Hall warriors are the fewest in number and have the least subdivisions among the Eight Palaces.

Yet, every warrior within is a Body Cultivation Martial Artist, each capable of physical combat against demon beasts, one taking on thousands.

Often alone, they dare confront vast armies of demon beasts.

After a fierce battle, the demon beasts are decimated, while the Asura warriors are drenched in blood, resembling blood-soaked figures.

Hence, the attire of today’s Asura Hall warriors is a garment of blood.

Stepping over countless corpses of demon beasts, they resemble bloodthirsty Asuras.

Thus, warriors from the Asura Hall are also known as Asura Warriors.

Xiao Yi’s repeatedly astonished expression in the Scrolls Room was due to the splendor and fervor of the Ancient Times.

Merely snippets of phrases from the scrolls could conjure in his mind countless scenes of intense battles.

Of course, these belong to the era of Ancient Times.

That great battle between human and demon beast great powers had brought the era of Ancient Times to its curtain fall.

The calamity of demon beasts ended millions of years ago.

The Ancient Eight Halls still strictly adhere to their duty of slaying demon beasts.

But their previous distinct responsibilities have now evolved into independent major forces.

However, they still maintain their own principle of resolutely not engaging in disputes among the major forces.

Their existence bears the same purpose as the Demon Hunting Hall when Xiao Yi was previously in the Eastern Domain.

Hunting demons, as well as allowing various warriors to issue tasks which the warriors within help complete, and so forth.

In essence, the purpose of the Ancient Eight Halls is similar to that of the Demon Hunting Hall in the Eastern Domain.

Only the situations within each palace vary.

This is the information Xiao Yi learned about the Ancient Eight Halls in the Scrolls Room.

”Phew.” Xiao Yi took another deep breath.

Here lies merely Breeze City, a city within Fengxu Kingdom.

In the Central Region, it’s but a drop in the ocean.

To experience more wonders, one must venture into the broader world.

Therefore, Xiao Yi is prepared to leave.

Moreover, among the Eight Palaces, the Demon Hunting Hall always has the largest number of people and the widest distribution of power.

The intelligence capabilities of the Demon Hunters spread across the world are unmatched by the other seven palaces.

Xiao Yi plans to visit the Demon Hunting Hall.

However, it seems there is no branch of the Demon Hunting Hall within Fengxu Kingdom.

”Return to the Du Family for a farewell and then leave,” Xiao Yi muttered to himself.

Ahead of him, the vast azure sea, cloudless and stretching as far as his eyes can see, shifted away from his line of sight.

Swoosh... His figure flashed, vanishing from the spot.

...

Third update.
