Soul Emperor Martial God

Chapter 596: Chapter 596: Rankings Voided

”Xiao Yi, don’t get too smug,” Lin Qing’er said as she looked at Xiao Yi’s indifferent smile, feeling annoyed.

Ever since she was young, she had always been protected and loved by the elders of the Sect, never having been bullied.

Let alone being slashed away with a single sword strike like today.

”Today, I have lost to you,” Lin Qing’er said angrily. ”But once I truly enter the Extreme Realm, I will be able to fully control the Ten Realms Annihilation Fire.”

”Then, who wins and who loses remains to be seen.”

”Of course,” Lin Qing’er suddenly smiled proudly. ”Soon, someone will avenge me.”

”When you meet my older sister, you will understand what it means to have someone above you.”

”Oh?” Xiao Yi responded with a light smile and a shrug, remaining noncommittal.

Just then, the referee descended from the sky, looked at Xiao Yi, and said, ”Sword Sect’s Genius, you may return now.”

Then he looked at Dugu Kuang and others, saying, ”You are injured and may also return to recuperate.”

The competition had reached a point where it could end.

Dugu Kuang and the others, being blasted out of the Martial Arts Arena and falling into the Endless Black Sea, were defeated.

They represented their own Kingdom.

Their defeat also marked the conclusion of the Kingdom ranking battle.

Various geniuses and teams left the Martial Arts Arena one after another, returning to the spectator seats.

Now, all that remained was for the referee to announce the rankings.

However, the Demon Hall referee was facing a dilemma at the moment.

The first place was Xiao Yi; that much he was sure of.

But as for the second, third... up to eighth places, he did not know how to allocate them.

After all, the eight people including Dugu Kuang were blown off the Martial Arts Arena at the same time.

He was unsure of how to determine their ranking order.

After a moment of difficulty, he flashed his figure and leapt to the seats of the Eight Great Commanders at the highest part of the spectator stands.

Although he was the referee, his role was only to preside over the competition.

This was a contest between the geniuses of various Kingdoms and Martial Arts Holy Lands, and the real decisions were made by the Eight Emperors.

”My lords,” the Demon Hall referee bowed and said, ”The first place has already been determined.”

”But the subsequent rankings are unable to be determined.”

”Do we need the eight, including Dugu Kuang, to compete against each other once more?”

”No need,” Emperor Yee shook his head and said, ”We saw it very clearly at the moment of the explosion.”

”Right?” Emperor Yee looked mildly at the other seven.

The other seven emperors nodded.

Because of the violent explosion on the Martial Arts Arena just now, the Demon Hall referee, being only at the Late Stage Extreme Realm, did not have the vision power of the Eight Emperors and failed to see clearly.

But the Eight Emperors had a clear view.

The moment Dugu Kuang and the eight were blasted off the Martial Arts Arena, there was a brief time difference.

It meant that the eight individuals left the Martial Arts Arena in a specific sequence.

”The first to leave the Martial Arts Arena was Bai Mohan,” said Emperor Yee.

”Following him was Wan Zuolang from my Poison Sect,” said Poison Emperor softly.

Poison Emperor, the Sect Master of the Poison Sect from hundreds of years ago.

The first Poison Refiner of the Flame Dragon Continent.

Speaking of Poison Refiners, it is a unique profession of the Black Wood Kingdom.

Not a mainstream profession, merely a branch of Alchemist.

That is to say, Poison Emperor was also a strong Alchemist in refining.

Of course, in terms of poisoning techniques, he was the strongest.

In terms of strength, he was definitely among the top three among the Eight Emperors.

At this moment, as he mentioned that the Heavenly Talent of his Poison Sect was the second last, there was no fluctuation in his tone.

He was just speaking softly and indifferently.

”The third to leave was Bing Wujiang,” Ice Emperor said with displeasure.

”The fourth to leave was Huangfu Ya,” Rock Emperor said solemnly.

”The fifth to leave was Feng Jueqing,” Wind Emperor said coldly.

In reality, the actual fifth to leave was Tuoba Ao.

However, Tuoba Ao had already conceded during the Top 16, participating in the third round of the competition merely as a part of Dugu Kuang’s sub-team.

Thus, he did not have a ranking in this round.

His ranking had already been issued when the top 16 were decided, precisely in ninth place, and not among the top eight.

”The sixth to be eliminated is Lin Qing’er,” Emperor Tong said with a slight smile.

”Lastly, Dugu Kuang,” Emperor Huang also had a smile on his face.

The reason Dugu Kuang and the other seven left the Martial Arts Arena in a specific order was due to their initial positioning.

All eight of them were blown away simultaneously by Xiao Yi’s sword momentum.

However, Bai Mohan had been standing at the very back of the group, naturally making him the first to leave the Martial Arts Arena when blown away.

He was followed by Wan Zuolang and Bing Wujiang.

Positioned at the very front, Dugu Kuang and his two companions, facing Xiao Yi, were the last to leave the Martial Arts Arena.

At this point, the judge from the Demon Hunting Hall nodded and said, ”With that, the rankings can be determined.”

After speaking, the judge’s figure flashed, returning to the space above the Martial Arts Arena.

”The East Sea Festival’s third round has ended, and the rankings are also out.”

”I declare, the first place...”

Just as the judge was about to announce the rankings,

at that moment, a loud shout came.

”Hold on.”

”Hmm?” The judge frowned and looked at the speaker, ”May I know what matter concerns the Golden Emperor?”

It was indeed the Golden Emperor speaking.

”I propose that Xiao Yi’s ranking be invalidated,” the voice of the Golden Emperor resounded throughout the Martial Arts Arena.

”Hmm?” The judge from the Demon Hunting Hall furrowed his brows.

”What?” A series of astonished voices erupted from the spectator seats.

”Golden Emperor, what do you mean?” Emperor Yee frowned and looked towards the Golden Emperor.

”It’s nothing much, just that I feel Xiao Yi’s ranking should be invalidated,” the Golden Emperor said with a light chuckle.

”Therefore, I propose this, is there anyone seconding this?”

The voice of the Golden Emperor clearly reached all the Great Commanders and the active personnel within the fortress alike.

The faces of the powerful attendees varied.

But before long, over half of the powerful ones and commanders had already seconded it.

Among the onlookers, aside from the East Sea Eight Great Commanders and thirty-two commanders, there were tens of thousands of fortress powerhouses.

These powerhouses all held positions at least equivalent to that of a captain.

At the East Sea Fortress, they had a certain degree of influence.

In the distance, at the Sky-splitting Sword Sect’s viewing area,

the woman’s face turned cold, ”I knew it, these villains would target you, and indeed I guessed it right.”

Xiao Yi looked puzzled and said, ”The rest of the Seven Emperors haven’t spoken yet, could the majority of the fortress’s commanders and active personnel already be seconding this?”

The woman sneered coldly, ”The Golden Emperor is not only one of the East Sea Eight Great Commanders but also the one with almost the highest say among them.”

”Oh?” Xiao Yi looked even more puzzled and said, ”To my knowledge, in the ranking of the Eight Emperors’ strength, the Golden Emperor is almost at the bottom.”

The woman shook her head and replied coldly, ”Have you forgotten about the Heavenly Gold City Wall?”

”Thousands of years ago, Heavenly Gold Country exhausted the country’s resources and took almost a hundred years to build this Heavenly Gold City Wall, which stretches for tens of thousands of miles in front of these 16 fortresses.”

”I don’t think Heavenly Gold Country would be so selfless,” Xiao Yi furrowed his brows.

”Selfless? The other 15 countries have paid a significant price,” the woman sneered coldly.

”Why do you think Heavenly Gold Country is the wealthiest among the sixteen countries? They still often bring out more than a dozen High Grade Primordial Artifacts.”

”Heavenly Gold Country surely gained a lot back then.”

”Of course, one thing returns to one thing, building the Heavenly Gold City Wall is indeed a great achievement of Heavenly Gold Country.”

”Naturally, the Golden Emperor’s lineage has always had great influence at the East Sea Fortress.”

In the distance, among the Great Commanders and active personnel, the voices endorsing continued to appear.

More and more people were seconding it.

Xiao Yi frowned and said, ”Ultimately, the final decision is in the hands of the Eight Emperors, right?”

”Hmph,” the woman snorted coldly, ”Unfortunately, among the Eight Emperors, only Emperor Yee would help you.”

Sure enough, on the spectator seats, more and more people were seconding it.

On the seats of the Eight Great Commanders, the Poison Emperor suddenly spoke, ”I also second it.”

Xiao Yi’s expression changed.

The woman’s face had already turned cold as frost.
