Chapter 1017 - 439: Golden Immortal Sect (Part 2)

Thus, Sea Ancestor’s emotions finally calmed down.

Compared to the others, her emotions were particularly difficult to keep stable, easily slipping into madness.

This was also a side effect caused by her forceful integration into the Sea of Realms’ energy.

The three once again looked towards Mountain Ancestor.

Mountain Ancestor’s Dharma Aspect stepped closer to the Golden Immortal Sect, changes suddenly occurred as he approached.

Golden steps spontaneously appeared in front of the Golden Immortal Sect, stretching to Mountain Ancestor’s feet.

Mountain Ancestor had already stepped onto the first golden step.

Rustle!

Unexpectedly, once the golden steps appeared, the Sea of Realms’ energy could no longer approach the Golden Immortal Sect, retreating further away from both the sect and Mountain Ancestor.

Within ten feet around the entire Golden Immortal Sect, the Sea of Realms’ energy was completely driven away.

Witnessing this scene, the thoughts that had just shifted in Ning Qi and Sea Ancestor’s minds seemed to instantly return deep within them.

It all seemed like the Saint Ancestor’s earlier words were true!

Step by step, Mountain Ancestor ascended the golden steps, finally reaching the Golden Immortal Sect.

Pale golden Immortal Radiance completely enveloped him, making him appear even more transcendent.

Mountain Ancestor’s two giant hands were already touching the doorway of the sect.

At this moment, his expression was extremely solemn.

Mountain Ancestor seemed uneasy, first glancing at Ning Qi and the others with the corner of his eye, seeing them still observing his transcendent scene before retrieving his gaze.

He then turned to look behind at the sea waves of the receding Sea of Realms, presenting a calm lake landscape.

Mountain Ancestor turned back, angrily shouted, ”Open for me!”

His arms suddenly exerted force, muscles knotted, golden radiance shining upon him, like a golden giant.

Crack!

The Golden Immortal Sect creaked, beginning to slowly open along the golden pillars to both sides, and the gap on the door started widening!

Consequently, more golden Immortal Radiance spurted out from the inside of the sect, falling on Mountain Ancestor.

Immortal Dao Aura on Mountain Ancestor almost condensed into substance, his entire body slightly trembling, with each cell seemingly trying to absorb more golden Immortal Radiance and Immortal Dao Aura.

Ning Qi and the others watched the slowly opening Golden Immortal Sect, their gazes penetrating the doorway but unable to see clearly what lay beyond.

Before them, only an incredibly dazzling golden hue, like sunshine spilling out.

Crack!

Mountain Ancestor had already pushed the Golden Immortal Sect open halfway, he could squeeze through if he turned sideways.

Of course, if he shrunk his Dharma Aspect, he could burst in directly.

However, Mountain Ancestor did not do this, his toes gripping the golden stairs below, exerting all his strength, still pushing the sect, hoping to open it completely.

Crack!

Just as Mountain Ancestor had pushed it open two-thirds, a sudden change occurred.

A large amount of black mist unexpectedly erupted from within Mountain Ancestor!

”Cough!”

Mountain Ancestor couldn’t help but cough, a big mouthful of black mist erupted.

”This is... failing to transcend from mortal to Immortal?”

Mountain Ancestor exerted more force, continuing to push the sect.

And his coughs were increasing, each cough emitting a large mouthful of black mist, washed away by the surrounding golden light.

Ning Qi and the others focused intensely on his back.

Initially, they saw lumps of black mist in the golden light being sprayed from Mountain Ancestor’s mouth, gradually, black mist emerged from Mountain Ancestor’s seven apertures.

Even later, black mist spewed from every pore of Mountain Ancestor’s body, even the golden light was a bit unable to wash it away.

Inside the golden light surrounding Mountain Ancestor, a black halo had formed, overlaying Mountain Ancestor.

Crack!

At this moment, oddly, the Golden Immortal Sect being pushed by Mountain Ancestor partially closed back.

”What is happening?”

Mountain Ancestor’s body was pushed back several steps by the sect closing, he instantly realized something was wrong.

”Open for me!”

He shouted again angrily, his magical power cannoned onto the Golden Immortal Sect.

The Golden Immortal Sect was forced, and once again opened wider.

Just when Mountain Ancestor thought it was a fluke, the whole Golden Immortal Sect bounced back with even stronger force.

Squeak!

This time, Mountain Ancestor was pushed much further back, two distinct marks were left on the golden steps by his feet.

”What is going on, why stop me from entering the sect?”

Mountain Ancestor barely stabilized his stance, his face could no longer remain calm, instead filled with confusion.

Far off, Ning Qi and the others watching were no different.

Ning Qi couldn’t help but recall the Saint Ancestor’s words earlier.

The black mist ring appearing within Mountain Ancestor’s golden Immortal Radiance was clearly the Sea of Realms’ energy hidden within Mountain Ancestor.

Apparently, golden Immortal Radiance inside the sect had been expelling the Sea of Realms’ energy from Mountain Ancestor’s body, yet somehow, the energy kept increasing within him.

Logically, Mountain Ancestor should have little Sea of Realms energy inside, being mostly inside the Mountain and Sea Realm before, even if he went to the Vast Realm he wouldn’t encounter much Sea of Realms energy.

Thus, Mountain Ancestor shouldn’t have such a large amount of Sea of Realms energy internally.

”That’s not right...”

Ning Qi suddenly thought of the remnants of Buzhou Mountain that had flown from the Sea of Realms earlier, Mountain Ancestor summoned it, clarifying a lot.

Perhaps Mountain Ancestor didn’t actually have much Sea of Realms energy, but Mountain Ancestor swallowed the remnants of Buzhou Mountain into himself.

The remnants of Buzhou Mountain had no sign of life, nor any beings residing.

It was obviously left in a hidden area of the Sea of Realms, just summoned by Mountain Ancestor.

Being left in the Sea of Realms for countless billions of years, undergoing such long-term erosion, how could Buzhou Mountain remnants not be tainted by the Sea of Realms’ energy?

For this reason alone, Mountain Ancestor had so much Sea of Realms energy inside!

What Ning Qi thought of, Saint Ancestor and Sea Ancestor realized too, and Mountain Ancestor as a participant naturally sensed it as well.

”Buzhou Mountain is the pathway to transcending into Immortal, why stop it from entering?”

Mountain Ancestor’s hands were still pushing the Golden Immortal Sect, but one finger tapped on the Golden Immortal Sect.

However, this time, Mountain Ancestor’s exertion was even greater, yet didn’t open the Golden Immortal Sect wider, instead more force was returned, closing the sect.

”No!”

Mountain Ancestor panicked, just about to fully open the Golden Immortal Sect, now it’s closing, refusing him entry!

”Who allowed you to refuse Buzhou Mountain descendant?”

Mountain Ancestor was somewhat hysterical, almost unable to believe the current scene.

The next second, he actually tried to squeeze into the Golden Immortal Sect.

But the Golden Immortal Sect gave him no chance to do so, the whole sect was shrinking, making his Magic Body impossible to enter.

”No, how can this be?”

Mountain Ancestor reacted swiftly, opting to shrink his Magic Body, but the Golden Immortal Sect also shrank.

Crack!

Moreover, even the golden steps that had emerged earlier were being retracted, seemingly to expel Mountain Ancestor down.

Mountain Ancestor was horrified, no longer daring to shrink his Magic Body, nor sideway squeeze through.

His feet as if in a crouching stance, wedged against the Golden Immortal Sect, back against one side of the door, one hand pushing the other side.

The spare hand pounding on the Golden Immortal Sect, Mountain Ancestor shouted:

”Did you forget the Immortal Mortal Crossing pact?”

More black mist surged from his body, almost equal with the surrounding golden Immortal Radiance, and growing constantly.

A mountain-shaped mark reappeared on Mountain Ancestor’s forehead, casting towards the Golden Immortal Sect.

The mark stamped on the Golden Immortal Sect, unlike before, clanked loudly.

However, the two sides fell into a stalemate, the sect seemed to pause its closing tendency.

And Mountain Ancestor’s attempts to push it wider proved futile!

The mountain-shaped mark stamped on the sect’s lintel, it transformed into black mist, which merged into the sect, suddenly activating its intricate Immortal patterns.

The two seemed to communicate, as if referring to past agreements.

Then, surprisingly, the golden radiance emitted by the Golden Immortal Sect began to fade, from gold to silver in hue.
