Cultivation: From Servant to Revered Immortal

Chapter 612: Chapter 9: Plotting Against Zhou Xun

Ten days later,

Three thousand miles west of Sea Suppression Immortal City,

Zhou Xun rose into the air. His mouth opened, and thirty-six Thunder Seeds instantly flew out, spreading across a range of several thousand feet.

With a thought,

these Thunder Seeds began to divide,

each one splitting into ten pieces,

”Sword Array, activate!”

As Zhou Xun cast a spell, these Thunder Seeds suddenly transformed into flying swords shimmering with Thunder Light,

Thunder Arcs flickered around!

Three hundred and sixty flying swords arranged themselves according to some unknown pattern, instantly creating a silent feeling of oppression.

Forcing all the fish within several miles to flee!

”Transform!”

Zhou Xun moved his mind.

Among them, several Thunder Swords suddenly morphed to form a Giant Shield, dozens of feet high,

then transformed back into flying swords again!

”Big Brother, it really worked!” Wang Erniu exclaimed!

Zhou Xun smiled faintly,

Relying on the Purple Sky True Thunder Array, this Sword Array Technique had become a kind of transformation among them,

Elevating his strength a notch higher,

But to know exactly how powerful, he’d need to battle other cultivators.

At this juncture between the two races, the progress in strength is truly something to celebrate!

”Let’s go back and drink, celebrate properly!”

...

In the days that followed, Zhou Xun delved into quiet cultivation.

Talisman Making, Qi Cultivation, Body Refinement...

Occasionally, he would go to the Insect Room to check on the Phoenix Butterfly,

Since this butterfly absorbed enough Tier Three Spirit Liquid more than a month ago, it has been in a deep sleep,

A cocoon has formed on its surface.

”Seems like it will take a bit more time before it emerges!”

Sensing the Spiritual Power fluctuation inside, Zhou Xun understood its progress.

As for Spirit Tortoise Chi Wu, he morphed into a human form and hid in the guest room without coming out,

Lately, he’s become obsessed with Alchemy, always studying the Alchemy Skill.

As for Earth Element Beast Feng Chong, he’s been in seclusion for cultivation ever since Chi Wu’s arrival brought a strong sense of crisis to him,

Vowing to reach Tier Three Peak and strive for Tier Four as soon as possible!

Another month passed quickly,

It was already the third month since Zhou Xun settled in Sea Suppression Immortal City.

On this day, a group of cultivators flew in from outside the East City Gate of the city,

The leader was an old man,

His face was lean, a tuft of goatee on his chin, dressed in a blue-green Feather Crane Daoist Robe, heightening his celestial and Daoist aura,

A jade green hairpin sparkled with Spirit Light on his head, evidently a Middle-Grade Magical Treasure.

Underneath him was a Hanging Eye White-forehead Mountain Monarch, three feet long, valiant and imposing!

If Zhou Xun were present, he’d instantly recognize,

This person was his mortal enemy, the True Monarch of Profound Control.

He had just completed a three-month patrol task and was returning to the city for rest this time.

Having checked at the city gate, True Monarch of Profound Control and his group entered the city.

”Now that we’re in the Immortal City, you have to intensify your cultivation, prepare for the upcoming war, it is the Spirit Control Sect’s opportunity, and also yours!”

”Maybe one of you will become a True Monarch Nascent Soul!”

”Yes, Elder Uncle!”

The numerous Core Formation cultivators responded collaterally, all belonging to the Spirit Control Sect and following the True Monarch of Profound Control here.

After dismissing the crowd, the old man did not return to the Cave Mansion,

Instead, he went to the Immortal City’s trading district, twisting and turning, and eventually arrived at a small alley, entering a small shop.

After presenting a strange conch shell, the shopkeeper’s face changed drastically, quickly inviting True Monarch of Profound Control to the backyard.

”Daoist Gu finally thought to come out, we’ve been looking for you for a long time!” said a cultured middle-aged man, with subtle mana fluctuations indicating he was also at the Nascent Soul Stage!

Seeing this middle-aged man, the True Monarch of Profound Control’s face changed dramatically.

”You... Why are you here, this is Sea Suppression Immortal City!” True Monarch of Profound Control hurriedly scanned his surroundings several times before whispering.

”Though with your detection methods, how can you know the wonders of our Spirit Clam Race, as for Illusion Transformation Technique, who in the world can compare!”

The middle-aged man smiled slightly and remarked,

”True Monarch Yama, True Monarch Celestial One these people are all in the city, if discovered, neither you nor I will have a burial place!” True Monarch of Profound Control angrily stated seeing his demeanor,

Unable to prevent regret over his cooperation with the Demon Race.

”If I wasn’t fairly confident, why would I dare come here personally!” the middle-aged man nonchalantly said,

”It was His Majesty South Abyss who ordered me to come!”

Hearing ’His Majesty South Abyss,’ True Monarch of Profound Control instantly calmed down, and spoke slowly:

”What does His Majesty instruct?”

”You must know the Third Prince is dead, killed by your Human Race, he was the designated next South Abyss Demon Emperor, our future ruler!”

”To die like this at the hands of your Human Race, His Majesty is furious, demanding we find out about this person!”

The middle-aged man said solemnly.

Hearing this, the old man felt remarkably indifferent, wars between the two races were so common, even a Tier Four High-Grade Demon Emperor’s fall was unsurprising, let alone a mere Third Prince,

”Since it is the command of His Majesty South Abyss, there certainly won’t be a problem, you provide the person’s name and title and I will assist in investigating!”

”However, after accomplishing this, I have a request!”

True Monarch of Profound Control declared.

”What is it?” The middle-aged man cautiously asked.

”I want your help to kill someone!” True Monarch of Profound Control gritted his teeth.

”Who?”

”A brat who just broke through to Nascent Soul not long ago, I cannot tackle this alone, he also possesses a Tier Four Spirit Beast!”

”No problem, but everything hinges on you completing our task first!” the middle-aged man pondered briefly and nodded.

”It’s a deal!”

True Monarch of Profound Control’s eyes flashed with killing intent, silently declaring:

’Boy, this time, I’ll make sure you die!’

”This is partial information we found, the rest you need to supplement!” Saying so, the middle-aged man took out a Jade Scroll and handed it to True Monarch of Profound Control.

True Monarch of Profound Control received the Jade Scroll, delving into it with Divine Sense, beginning careful inspection,

Suddenly—

”It’s actually this boy!”

True Monarch of Profound Control was greatly shocked,

”What’s the matter, do you recognize him?” The middle-aged man asked in surprise.

”I don’t just recognize him, I want nothing more than to kill him, this ’Wang Lin,’ is the one I want you to help me eliminate!”

”What, such coincidence!” The middle-aged man also felt somewhat incredulous!

”My beloved disciple fell victim to this person back then, but unexpectedly within less than a hundred years, this person has remarkably advanced from Middle-Stage Core Formation,”

”To Early-Stage Nascent Soul, and even possesses a Tier Four Spirit Beast, such opponents must be eradicated as soon as possible!”

”Else within another century, who knows how formidable he might become, perhaps even I won’t be his match!”

True Monarch of Profound Control calmly stated, his internal fear providing motivation to urgently solve the Wang Lin situation!

”If that’s the case, then what a coincidence!” the middle-aged man pondered aloud.

”Originally, my plan was to lure this person out of Lixian City, then seek your aid for his demise!”

”Now it seems we can align the two matters, directly assassinate him, presumably fulfilling His Majesty South Abyss’s orders!”

True Monarch of Profound Control earnestly said.

”How do you plan to lure him? Surely since you’ve recognized him, he must recognize you too!” The middle-aged man questioned, puzzled.

”Back then, I pursued this person, even issued a warrant, he’s already become deeply resentful of me, sure to seek revenge,”

”On that day I acted as though unaware of his identity,”

”As long as I feign discovering a relic and invite him for treasure hunting, he’ll likely come, seizing the opportunity for vengeance,”

”Though revenge seeking will surely involve several allies, by then rely on His Majesty South Abyss’s support!”

”At that time, thinking he has me, little does he know everything is part of my plan, like the mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind!”

True Monarch of Profound Control said, revealing an intent of murder in his eyes.

”Good! Good! Good!”

”Daoist Gu truly is a leader of power, such planning is indeed meticulous, this person surely will take the bait,”

”I’ll inform His Majesty about the plan now, once accomplished, rewards will be yours!” The middle-aged man exclaimed in delight.

”As long as my disciple’s revenge is fulfilled, I will be content!” True Monarch of Profound Control sighed,

”Time is of the essence, let us act separately, you go report to His Majesty, I will go visit his Cave Mansion and ’connect’!”
