Cultivation: From Servant to Revered Immortal

Chapter 563: Chapter 172: Extreme Blade Upgrade Plans!

”Good things come to those who wait, I must rely on you this time, Daoist Brother!” Zhou Xun said with a slight smile.

Then he followed True Monarch Iron Mountain into the grand array.

Entering the cave mansion, after taking their seats,

it wasn’t long before a maid with a delicate face, looking only seventeen or eighteen years old, came over with a wooden tray, smiling.

”This is the Bitter Spirit Tea I recently acquired, Younger Brother Zhou, you must have a good taste of it.” True Monarch Iron Mountain said with a hearty laugh.

”Oh, to think it’s this tea...”

Fang Xi’s eyes lit up at the words. He had heard of this tea as well, said to be refined from Spirit Algae growing at the sea bottom, extremely rare.

Zhou Xun picked up the teacup and took a gentle sip.

”Excellent tea...”

Zhou Xun’s eyes slightly brightened, and he couldn’t help but praise:

”This tea is initially bitter but turns sweet, embodying the profound wonders of a cultivator’s life, and should be quite beneficial for a cultivator’s state of mind...”

”Hahaha, Younger Brother is indeed a tea lover. This old man can’t discern this meaning, if not for Elder Yun insisting I accept this, I honestly wouldn’t have wanted it!”

”For me, nothing beats a pot of Spirit Wine!”

True Monarch Iron Mountain said boldly.

Elder Yun is True Monarch Cloud Mountain, and also a Tier Four Refiner,

perhaps due to shared interests, they quickly became familiar and are now close friends,

currently serving as the Sea Patrol Envoy of Sea Suppression Immortal City, patrolling everywhere.

Half a year ago, he happened to come to Ringless Island and left behind a box of Bitter Spirit Tea.

”By the way, this time you went to Sea Suppression Immortal City, what kind of spirit material did you acquire?” After some casual chat, the two began discussing serious matters.

At these words, Zhou Xun smiled without answering and instead took a jade box from his storage bag.

”Daoist Brother, please take a look!”

Seeing Zhou Xun’s smile, how could True Monarch Iron Mountain not know that what he acquired was certainly extraordinary,

he took the jade box, opened it and looked inside!

”Zzzap—”

A chopstick-thin Thunder Arc instantly shot out, striking towards True Monarch Iron Mountain!

”Celestial Profound Thunder Jade!”

”Younger Brother, you’re very fortunate, it’s indeed this item, one of the best materials for enhancing the Thunder Sword,”

”With this treasure, I can surely craft you a rare piece!”

True Monarch Iron Mountain’s hearty voice rang out, and he actually didn’t dodge the incoming Thunder Arc but directly intercepted it!

As the Thunder Arc was about to reach True Monarch Iron Mountain’s body, a flash of red light transformed into an illusory Spirit Armor, blocking the Thunder Arc.

”High-Grade Treasure-Level Spirit Armor!”

Zhou Xun exclaimed!

He never thought his brother’s wealth was so abundant, having crafted himself a High-Grade Spirit Armor only a few years after forming his Nascent Soul.

With this treasure as protection, facing a Middle-Stage Nascent Soul Cultivator, he might safely retreat!

”Haha, Younger Brother indeed knows the goods!”

True Monarch Iron Mountain laughed heartily,

”I crafted this myself, are you interested, Younger Brother?”

”To gather the materials needed for enhancing this Thunder Sword, I’ve exhausted almost half of my wealth, how could I afford such a treasure!” At these words, Zhou Xun shook his head in refusal.

He had the Celestial Profound Spirit Armor on him, so he naturally wasn’t interested in ordinary Spirit Armor treasures.

If not for this treasure being of significant importance, plus having promised True Monarch Tianci not to reveal a single word about it, he would’ve taken out his own Spirit Armor.

”No matter, with Younger Brother’s talent, I believe you will soon achieve Nascent Soul Formation. Then, when you acquire the materials, you can always come to me for a custom-made one!”

”Thank you, Daoist Brother!” Zhou Xun cupped his hands in gratitude, suddenly thinking of something,

he patted his waist, producing the Extreme Blade and a completely black short knife.

This knife, including the handle, was about a foot long, completely black with a matte finish, seeming extremely ordinary.

It was something Zhou Xun acquired from an old man’s defeat at Shuanghe Market years ago, intending to merge it with the Extreme Blade,

but hadn’t found a suitable Artifact Refiner all this time.

It wasn’t over; Zhou Xun also took out the piece of Profound Gold Essence left by Master Profound Maple, and said:

”I wish to merge these two short blades into one, and with this Profound Gold Essence, I wonder if it could be refined into a High-Grade Magical Treasure!”

With Zhou Xun’s current strength, he would undoubtedly face Fourth Realm opponents in the future, at which point the Extreme Blade might fall short.

So Zhou Xun wanted to see if True Monarch Iron Mountain had any solutions!

”Let me see!”

True Monarch Iron Mountain didn’t nod but picked up these two magical treasures to examine them carefully!

”The Extreme Blade’s materials are not remarkable; the key is that it contains Geng Metal, which is the highest-grade material,”

”It was used on a Low-Grade Magical Treasure, and the smelting technique is so crude, truly a waste!”

True Monarch Iron Mountain said with a face full of pain,

”As for this Black Blade, it has no smelting value, take it back!”

”Never mind, let me use a Secret Technique to strip this part of the Geng Metal, then use the Profound Gold Essence as the main material... hmm... still need a Tier Four Low-Grade piece of Geng Yuan Iron!”

”No worries, I happen to have one in my collection, and I’ll provide it for you!”

”In this way, refining a foot-long Extreme Blade anew should not be a problem!”

True Monarch Iron Mountain muttered.

Zhou Xun was overjoyed at these words, unexpectedly it was truly feasible, so he said:

”Daoist Brother, I will return this piece of Geng Yuan Iron to you as soon as possible!”

”Between us brothers, there’s no need...”

True Monarch Iron Mountain was about to refuse when he was rendered speechless by what Zhou Xun took out,

only to see Zhou Xun bring out a jade box, in which lay two Tier Four Low-Grade Spiritual Essence Fruits,

which are the main material for the Profound Origin Pill,

and this pill is one of the most renowned elixirs for assisting Early-Stage Nascent Soul Cultivators in advancing their mana, extremely rare.

”I owe you great gratitude. If not for Younger Brother generously informing me of the passage out of the Eastern Wilderness, I wouldn’t have succeeded in Nascent Soul Formation. Take back this spirit medicine, Younger Brother!”

True Monarch Iron Mountain looked at them for a few moments, but finally shook his head, unwilling to accept.

”You’re overthinking, Daoist Brother, for our kind of relationship, why so formal? This fruit is of no use to me, better for Daoist Brother to enhance your mana,”

”I believe, if Daoist Brother were in my current situation, you would make the same choice!”

Zhou Xun persuaded.

”Otherwise, I won’t ask you to refine these two treasures!” Zhou Xun pretended to be angry.

”Alright, I’ll accept them then!” True Monarch Iron Mountain had no choice but to nod and accept these two spirit fruits.

He too was a person of character and naturally didn’t act overly reserved,

in the future, if there are opportunities, he could simply repay Zhou Xun generously!

Early the next morning, True Monarch Iron Mountain took Zhou Xun to the Artifact Refining Room,

only to see that the stone chamber over ten zhang in size was equipped with an Earth Fire Furnace, Artifact Refining Hammer, Fire Control Array, and other essentials,

True Monarch Iron Mountain smiled and walked in.

He first discussed the enhancement of the Thunder Sword with Zhou Xun for a while,

then began the refining process!

True Monarch Iron Mountain formed a spell with his hands, sending a Spirit Light onto the Earth Fire Furnace,

and immediately, a bright yellow light flame rose,

Zhou Xun also took out the Profound Thunder Sword and all the materials, officially commencing the refining!
