Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chen Jie subdued Du Xiong, adding another fierce general to his forces.

Chen Jie’s enterprise is still in its early stages, so he needs to select some potential recruits to utilize.

Compared to seasoned characters like Chen Long, Mei Tu, and Monkey, Du Xiong is fortunately young and not very bad in nature, just a bit naive.

For someone like him, Chen Jie has plenty of ways to brainwash him, unlike the three seasoned ones whose ages are too advanced and whose values are very mature, making them too difficult to indoctrinate.

Thus, relatively speaking, Du Xiong is a good candidate for indoctrination.

Therefore, Chen Jie chose Du Xiong, believing that as long as he follows him for a period, he will definitely become a loyal follower.

Moreover, his talent is indeed remarkable, even two years younger than Chen Jie, similar in age to Xiao Hu, and his strength has already reached Dragon Peak, having also cultivated one of the Shaolin Four Extremes, the Golden Bell Shield.

In fact, his potential should be above that of Xiao Hu.

Chen Jie thought, becoming increasingly satisfied with Du Xiong.

On this trip, the greatest harvest from martial arts was not only elevating his Martial Arts Cultivation to the coveted Melt God Realm, becoming one of the elite of the pyramid in the world.

Additionally, he gained the Divine Technique, Qiankun Great Method; this Heaven and Earth Transposition indeed is a top-tier martial arts skill.

Just these two gains alone have already made Chen Jie earn a lot.

Besides, Chen Jie also reaped many good things, such as medicinal herbs, having obtained many precious herbs in the Ruins, which, when combined, Chen Jie feels he can refine a batch of Melting Furnace Pills.

With this batch of Melting Furnace Pills, Chen Jie can nurture one or two strong individuals in the Molten Furnace Realm, like Xiao Hu, thereby enhancing their strength.

Apart from these, Chen Jie also gained a lot regarding personal relations, having saved Little Ming King, Liu Futong, both influential figures in the Zoroastrian Sect, and even Liu Futong wanting to appoint him to the Dharma King position in the sect.

Although he doesn’t really care for it, having such a personal connection means he’ll reap many benefits on moral grounds in the future.

Additionally, he subdued four elders, Chen Long, Mei Tu, Monkey, and Chou Niu, but unfortunately, due to his relationship with Liu Futong, he couldn’t utilize these people as subordinates, considering Liu Futong’s connections as a Heavenly List Strong Person outweigh the identities of these Four Elders.

Of course, besides these benefits, Chen Jie also encountered some troubles, thwarting the ambition of Zoroastrian Sect’s Dharma King, Descending Mountain Tiger Du Zundao, which led to the enmity of the Descending Mountain Tiger, so he’ll have to be cautious of his revenge in the future.

Next is Han Miaozhen, who is also an old rival, but at her current level, she’s no longer of concern to him.

Beyond them are the Six Great Sects, with obvious gains and losses.

The gain was Chen Jie receiving goodwill from the Six Great Sects and the Three Great Sects.

Shao, Wudang, and Emei, especially Emei’s Master Jue Mie, is truly a die-hard fan of his.

Furthermore, Wudang’s Master Zhang wants to meet him; if he can establish a good relationship with Master Zhang, he’ll have a much smoother path ahead.

As for Shaolin, even though Master Kudu from Shaolin is now Zhu Chongba’s master, and Shaolin vaguely has the potential to become Zhu Chongba’s stronghold, such major forces in the Jianghu won’t easily place heavy bets, or rather, rarely put all eggs in one basket, hence maintaining a good relationship with Shaolin might garner some support.

The friendships with these Three Great Sects are also gains for Chen Jie.

However, other than these Three Great Sects, relations with the Tang Sect, Kunlun Sect, and the Five Mountains Sword Alliance are not very good.

The Kunlun Sect, needless to say, is the stronghold of King Qi, virtually his lackey, and his relationship with King Qi is clearly adversarial rather than friendly.

Besides Kunlun, the Tang Sect and the Five Mountains Sword Alliance have deep-seated hatred towards him, given that he personally eliminated their leading Sect Leader, which is not a small grudge!

Nonetheless, it needs to be mentioned that the relationship between the Tang Sect and the Five Mountains Sword Alliance might undergo some subtle changes, for instance, the Tang Sect’s hatred is more direct, whereas only the Huashan Sect within the Five Mountains Sword Alliance might bear such a grudge, while the rest might not want to avenge the hypocrite Zuo Buqun.

So the true enemies might be two and a half, but they shouldn’t pose any immediate threat.

The Tang Sect is secluded in Shu, although easy to defend and hard to attack, it also struggles to emerge, furthermore, now that the Second Master of the Tang Sect is dead, and the Master rarely appears in Jianghu.

Additionally, Ming Yuzhen is not easy to deal with, now that the Second Master of the Tang Sect died here, the main authority of the Tang Sect is likely to fall into Ming Yuzhen’s hands.

Ming Yuzhen has great ambition, aspiring everywhere, once he becomes the leader of the Tang Sect, he will surely treat the Tang Sect as his stronghold, hence he wouldn’t readily risk his forces against him.

And Huangzhou Prefecture where Chen Jie is located is separated from Shu by mountains, moreover, with Peng Yingyu, who is extremely influential, in between, Ming Yuzhen won’t easily wage war on Huangzhou Prefecture to avenge the so-called Second Master of the Tang Sect.

After all, Emei is also in Shu, Ming Yuzhen would struggle to take over all of Shu, and moving out of Shu would lose the geographical advantage of mountains, and the Tang Sect’s power may not exactly consolidate.

And Chen Jie analyzed, given Ming Yuzhen’s courage, he wouldn’t dare to leave Shu to fight him desperately, at least not in the short term, so the Tang Sect is not to be feared.
