Chapter 1404: Chapter 321: What? Chen Jiusi, What Is He Up To?

Zombies!

The first thought in Chen Jie’s mind was zombies, the Purple-haired Old Monster doesn’t bode well in his later years!

And at this moment, the Earth Immortal in front of him, who had just awoken, was moving his stiff body, with eyes full of murderous intent. The blood-red eyes gave an eerie bloodthirsty feeling, and Chen Jie took a deep breath, staying silent.

He just moved his body back a bit, his gaze filled with vigilance.

This creature seems quite formidable to deal with.

At this moment, Hong Yuan was trembling with fear, with many stories about Earth Immortals flooding her mind.

Earth Immortals, these are very old stories, according to legend, they were the first generation ancestor of the Witch God, specifically that Fire Witch God. His power was strong, yet he didn’t reach the level of a Land Immortal, which would now be equivalent to around third or fourth on the Heavenly List.

He had a rival, who was the Sect Leader of the Xingxiu Sect, and this person entered the Land Immortal Realm. Yet during that era, Spiritual Energy was abundant, and there was more than one Land Immortal.

Furthermore, battles existed between Land Immortals. This Xingxiu Sect Leader fought with others and was defeated by another Land Immortal, being slain.

After his death, the first-generation ancestor of the Witch Clan stole into the Xingxiu Sect at night and extracted the Sect Leader’s body.

He transported it to the Witch Clan and used Secret Techniques to maintain it, intending to make him a puppet to protect the future generations of the Witch Clan. Unfortunately, during the process, the first-generation Fire Witch was backlashed by the Immortal Energy within the corpse, damaging his foundation and leading to his death.

And hence, this Earth Immortal’s body was left in this valley. Over countless years, it absorbed the essence of the sun and moon, eventually allowing for the potential of becoming a zombie.

The descendants of the Witch Clan discovered this issue, and the second-generation ancestor used the Witch Clan’s power to bind the corpse energy of this Earth Immortal’s body with the chain of inheritance, extracting the corpse energy for safeguarding the inheritance.

As a result, the body of this Earth Immortal couldn’t rise, yet Feng Xuewen, in the bearing of a Confucian Saint, entered the Land Immortal Realm and forcibly severed the chain of inheritance left by the ancestors.

This relieved the shackles on the Witch Clan, but simultaneously caused the restraint on the Earth Immortal’s body to vanish, resulting in the current scene where the corpse of this Earth Immortal had successfully transformed into a zombie.

Knowing the origins of this Earth Immortal’s body only added to Hong Yuan’s fear, for the reality was a thousand-year-old corpse standing before them.

Crack, crack, crack...

As the two were pondering, they suddenly saw the Earth Immortal’s body twisting its neck, and the aged neck emitted a crackling sound, making one’s teeth ache. At this moment, its gaze suddenly fixed upon Chen Jie and Hong Yuan.

Those blood-red eyes locked on target, and Chen Jie instinctively shouted: ”Scatter!”

The next moment, with a booming sound, the Earth Immortal’s body transformed into the Purple-haired Old Monster, disappearing instantly from where it stood, then with one claw crush, with another boom, the stone bed behind Chen Jie was shattered into pieces.

Boom!

The debris flew wildly, and seeing this scene, the flying little stones were as sharp as knives.

At that moment, a slash marked Hong Yuan’s face, while Chen Jie dodged just in time and glanced towards the Purple-haired Old Monster behind him.

The Purple-haired Old Monster’s attack seemed only to shatter stones, while the suspended chaotic [Witch God Inheritance] remained unaffected, and the Purple-haired Old Monster was momentarily attracted by this Witch God Inheritance.

Reaching out to grab the Witch God Inheritance, Chen Jie was stunned. Could it be that it intended to inherit the Witch God Inheritance?

However, its hand quickly passed through the energy magic ball of the Witch God Inheritance, realizing this, the Purple-haired Old Monster was momentarily stunned and then completely lost interest.

At this point, it turned its attention back to Hong Yuan, charging at her.

Hong Yuan was greatly shocked, and Chen Jie, seeing this scene, frowned. He quickly waved his hand, summoning his Fire Dragon Spear from his storage ring.

At this moment, Chen Jie grasped one part of the spear in one hand, turning his body around, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

As his body turned, his hands linked both parts of the spear together at the waist, twisting it, instantly fastening it with a screw joint.

Chen Jie swept the spear against a giant rock, which immediately flew up.

With a boom, the giant rock flew towards the back of the Purple-haired Old Monster’s head.

Boom!

The giant rock exploded, and the Purple-haired Old Monster was startled, momentarily pausing and turning its gaze directly toward Chen Jie.

At this moment, Sister Chen held the spear in hand, executing a move called Silver Snake Emerges, thrusting directly at the Purple-haired Old Monster’s throat, clang!

A crisp sound rang out as the spear struck directly on the Purple-haired Old Monster’s throat.

Clang!

A metallic sound echoed as Chen Jie’s Fire Dragon Spear fiercely stabbed the Purple-haired Old Monster’s throat, as if piercing a metallic ingot, emitting a sound that made one’s teeth ache.

With this thrust, Chen Jie immediately realized that the Purple-haired Old Monster had indeed Copper Skin Iron Bone; penetrating its defense with his strength alone would be immensely difficult.

Thinking of this, Chen Jie urged Hong Yuan: ”Go quickly!”

Chen Jie’s goals were achieved; both the Red Sun Qi he needed and the Witch God’s Inheritance that Hong Yuan desired were secured, thus it was time to leave without delay.

Hong Yuan turned to go after hearing this, but suddenly the Purple-haired Old Monster roared furiously: ”Aow~”

The sound was beast-like, shaking the ceiling of the entire cave, seeming on the verge of collapse. Hong Yuan, shaken by the roar, felt her legs go weak, finding herself unable to move. Seeing this, Chen Jie gritted his teeth and instantly activated!
