Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 1055: Chapter 259: Chen Jiusi: What, Wu Mu’s Legacy? (Part 4)

Ni Wenjun was taken aback: ”Why? Doesn’t fighting with familiar people make us stronger?”

Chen Jie shook his head and said: ”Brother Ni, when familiar people are together, it’s easier for them to form cliques, which is very detrimental to your management. Listen to your younger brother, completely mix them up; this will make it easier to manage and prevent problems.”

Ni Wenjun didn’t understand, but he trusted Chen Jie, so he said: ”Alright, then I’ll listen to you, Jiu Si!”

After speaking, Ni Wenjun divided his subordinates into two parts according to Chen Jie’s plan.

One part was the Vanguard Army, and the other was the Guardian Brave Army.

Each army comprised five thousand troops, totaling ten thousand. All of them were selected from elite disciples of the Jianghu sects to serve as soldiers.

Among them, there were thirty Energy Transformation Hundred Households, ten Holding Core Realm Vice Thousand Households, five Wolf Smoke Realm Thousand Households, and a Rainbow Realm expert who surrendered from Tianmen Prefecture.

Naming Yu Guoxing, with the Jianghu greeting of Long-Armed Ape!

Thus, this powerful army under Ni Wenjun was formed.

Chen Jie planned for Ni Wenjun to be the main commander of this army, with two adjutants below him, Zeng Aniu and Yu Guoxing.

Yu Guoxing was appointed as the commander of the Vanguard Army, and Zeng Aniu as the commander of the Guardian Brave Army, but the main affairs of the Guardian Brave Army were still handled by Ni Wenjun.

Following this, all the Thousand Households and Vice Thousand Households were arranged in place.

Under Chen Jie’s mobilization, Ni Wenjun’s army immediately became combat-ready, leaving Ni Wenjun very satisfied with Chen Jie’s arrangement: ”Jiu Si, it’s fortunate to have you, otherwise I wouldn’t know how to handle this.”

At this moment, Ni Wenjun picked up a pen and wrote a name on the list.

[Military Advisor: Iron Face]

Chen Jie wanted to say something, but Ni Wenjun interrupted: ”Alright, no need to be polite. This army is ours, brothers, from now on you are the second-in-command of this army, and if I’m not around, it will be up to you to make decisions.”

Chen Jie replied: ”Big brother, in this way, I’m afraid Yu Guoxing might not be willing.”

Ni Wenjun’s eyes widened: ”He dares!? I’ve wiped out Rainbow Realm experts before.”

Chen Jie said: ”Brother, you must not treat people this way, you should be lenient.”

Ni Wenjun said: ”Brother, normally those little brats can say a word or two, but if they dare disrespect you, I’ll flay them!”

Chen Jie said nothing, but felt very grateful to Ni Wenjun in his heart.

He then proposed the next plan: to select a group of good families’ sons to become soldiers, so that when an expansion is needed in the future, they would be ready.

Then came Chen Jie’s Fishing Guild expansion plan. In Qianjiang Prefecture and Tianmen Prefecture, Chen Jie planned to send Zhou Chu over to develop a group of guild members there and hoped Ni Wenjun would assist when the time came.

Ni Wenjun agreed, and in the future, if the Fishing Guild encountered any issues in these two prefectures, they could look for him.

He was to be the honorary elder of the Fishing Guild.

Chen Jie was delighted at the time, knowing that Ni Wenjun was still an honorary elder of the Maitreya Sect, and now he was willing to be the honorary elder of Chen Jie’s Fishing Guild, in his heart, it seemed that his younger brother Chen Jie held significant standing.

Thus, the two confirmed the Fishing Guild’s dominance plan over the two prefectures.

The Fishing Guild would act as the government in these two prefectures, controlling all affairs of people in the prefectures, including taxation, finances, and even legal work, all under the Fishing Guild.

For this, Chen Jie issued a Seeking Talents Order in Huangzhou Prefecture, Qianjiang Prefecture, and Tianmen Prefecture, inviting all talented individuals from the countryside to go to the Recruitment Halls set up in these three prefecture cities. As long as they could pass the hall’s examinations, coupled with a political review confirming they were not spies or of poor character, they could be employed by the Fishing Guild.

In no time, all the talents and wise individuals from the three prefectures were recruited into the Fishing Guild. Under Chen Jie’s plan, these three prefecture cities were managed efficiently and in good order.

And so, Chen Jie accompanied Ni Wenjun in the Qianjiang Prefecture, training troops, and the Vanguard Army and Guardian Brave Army all got to know this Iron-faced Military Advisor, showing great respect towards him.

Time passed quite leisurely.

However, one day, Ni Wenjun suddenly walked into Chen Jie’s room with a serious expression.

Chen Jie, rarely seeing Ni Wenjun so serious, asked: ”Brother Ni, what’s the matter?”

In private, Chen Jie continued to call Ni Wenjun Brother Ni. Ni Wenjun looked at Chen Jie and said: ”Jiu Si, the great battle in the Central Plains has reached a conclusion!”

”Ah?”

Upon hearing this, Chen Jie immediately stood up, looking at Ni Wenjun: ”Who won?”

Ni Wenjun said: ”Zoroastrian Sect Master Han Shantong was defeated and killed, and the Daqian Imperial Advisor Basiba was severely wounded!”

”What!”

Receiving this news, Chen Jie felt completely stunned. He hadn’t expected the outcome to be like this. At this point, Ni Wenjun took out an envelope from his chest and said: ”Jiu Si, see for yourself.”

Chen Jie immediately opened the envelope, which contained intelligence reports.

Upon unfolding it, the details of the great battle in the Central Plains were laid out before him.

The Zoroastrian Sect’s Hierarch, Ming King Han Shantong, and Venerable Yushan Monk Liu Futong gathered at White Deer Village in Hebei. There, they sacrificed a white horse and a black bull, initiating a massive uprising. Because they wore red ribbons, they became known as the Red Turban Army.

In the eleventh year of Zhizheng, on the fifteenth of July, the main force gathered at White Deer Villa.

The Yellow River produced the one-eyed Stone Man General. Han Shantong swore an oath with the Stone Man to drive out the barbarians and restore the Great Song.

From then on, it spread that Heaven had sent the Stone Man to revive the Holy Sect.

In the eleventh year of Zhizheng, on the twentieth of July.

Daqian Emperor Shun, Imperial Advisor Basiba led the Treasure Elephant Army’s leader, Boluo Timur, and his eight great disciples, to move south to Hebei, confronting Han Shantong at White Deer Village with Mount Wending as the boundary.
