Strongest Mage with the Lust system

Chapter 1051: Slaughtering Liu Family

First was the grievous news of their Patriarch’s death. The second was that Gu Chen had returned safely and the last was that the Judicial Office’s people had helped the Gu Family fight back against some mysterious attackers.

Each of these news was worse than the other.

Now that they have lost their Patriarch, the only Bone Tempering realm cultivator in the family, they would have to leave the Red City.

Despite this, they could stay calm by telling themselves that all was not lost and they could produce another Bone Tempering realm cultivator in future and return.

However, now that Gu Chen had reached the Bone Tempering realm and was quite strong in it, given the bad blood between them, he would surely attack and destroy them the moment they left the city.

They could have tried to find help but now that the Judicial Officer was clearly favouring the Gu Family, the chances of them finding someone willing to help them by going against the Gu family had fallen sharply.

At this moment…

Tap! Tap! Tap!

“Greetings Elder, do you want to—”

“Move away!”

The sound of footsteps sounded from outside the Liu Family’s First Elder’s residence which was followed by the voice of the Guards stationed outside. However, the voice was cut off by a hoarse shout, then the gate was slammed open.

BANG!

“First Elder… It’s bad!” A middle-aged man in the early stage Blood Condensation realm barged inside while shouting loudly, an anxious look on his face.

The First Elder, with a heavy expression, was sitting in the courtyard with three other Elders who were in the late stage of the Blood Condensation realm just like him and had the same expressions on their faces.

They had been discussing what they should do going forward to ensure their survival when the screaming Elder barged into the courtyard. Normally, they would have gotten displeased and would have scolded this Elder for intruding upon their meeting like this, but now they had no mind to do it.

Instead, seeing his anxious expression, their hearts clenched and the First Elder asked, “What is it, Camo? What has got you so flustered?”

“Elders, it’s that Gu Lichen’s family. They… someone killed them in the market.” Camo hurriedly reported.

Swoosh!

As soon as his words fell, the Elders’ expressions changed and they shot to their feet. Being as intelligent as they were, they knew their situation had just worsened.

Camo took a breath and added, “…Moreover, they were on their way to return to the Gu Family when it happened.”

These words made the Elders’ expressions more heavy.

“Which ruthless bastard did it?!!” The First Elder growled through gritted teeth.

“We have no enemies who would want us dead save for the Gu Family.” Said one of the Elders beside him. She was a female and held the title of Fourth Elder. “However, I doubt they would kill their own even if they had betrayed the family, especially not in broad daylight.”

Then her eyes flashed and she added, “Since we have no enemy who could have done this, it could only be a friend.”

“Song family.” The First Elder and others growled. “That calculating bastard Song Heiran. He wants the Gu family to focus on us so he could have a breather and find a way to save his skin.”

They were convinced none other than Song Heiran could have done it because only he was invested in their family enough to know how they had been manipulating Gu Lichen and how he hadn’t left after entering their family the day before.

“Enough with that. We should figure out what do we do now. That boy… he truly wouldn’t let us go now. He might even come here and attack—”

“Ahhhhh—!”

Before this Elder could finish speaking, a pained scream echoed out from the direction of their estate’s main gate.

They looked at one another and saw the same look of terror in each other’s eyes.

Bang—!

“Ahhh!”

“Nooo—!”

“Elders! Save me—Ahh!”

As they stood there frozen, more and more screams echoed out.

“It must be that bastard, Gu Chen! He is killing our people. How dare he!” The First Elder shouted in rage, then rushed toward his residence while shouting at the Elders, “You three, go and make him stop by threatening him with Gu Lichen’s life. I’ll bring him out.”

The Elders hesitated but they couldn’t think of any other way to stop Max’s rampage. Thus, they rushed out, dragging Camo, who wanted to stay behind, with them.

Soon they saw Max. He was wearing a mask that barely hid his face and was wielding the broken red saber, killing whoever came across him regardless of their genders or whether they were Liu family members or servants.

“Patriarch Gu! How dare you!”

“Stop!”

“We didn’t kill Gu Lichen’s family.”

“Stop immediately or our First Elder will kill him!”

The four of them shouted one after another.

However…

Swoosh!

Bang!

What they got in response was a rock that came flying and smashed one of them in the face, immediately shattering their skull.

Thud!

The Elder stared at Max in terror, his lips moving to say something, then his vision blacked out and he thudded to the ground, dead.

“You…!” The other Elder stared at Max wide-eyed, his heart trembling with terror. The next moment, chills ran down his spine because he saw Max look at him and throw his saber at him.

Swoosh!

Without hesitation, he threw himself to the side.

Thud!

After falling to the ground, he let out a sigh and hurriedly stood up, wanting to turn around and escape but then he saw the Third Elder and Camo’s staring at him with the same look he had looked at the Elder who was smashed to death.

“What are you—Kuhh!” He had a bad feeling and opened his mouth to ask what was wrong when blood spurted out of his mouth. Almost simulated, he felt pain in his chest. When he lowered his head, his expression froze because he saw a hole in his chest right where his heart was.

“How—” He croaked out the word, his face a mask of confusion. Hadn’t he dodged the saber? Why was there a hole in his chest?

With difficulty, he turned his head around and saw the saber stuck into the ground directly behind him, faintly trembling.

‘I see…’ This was his last thought before his consciousness flickered out of existence and he fell to the ground.

Thud!

“Run!” Terrified out of his wits, Camo turned to run away and instinctively glanced toward the Third Elder and shouted, but his pupils shrank when he saw she was already rushing away.

“You damned slut!” He roared in rage, feeling his heart falling to the bottom of abyss because with her already in the distance, he was closest to Max and would become his target.

Swoosh!

Just then he heard the swooshing sound behind him and knew Max had caught up.

“Patriarch Gu—”

Crack!

Feeling the death breathing down on his neck, he desperately shouted even as he continued to run, wanting to plead for mercy but Max didn’t let him finish. Reaching out, he grabbed his neck and crushed it.

Thud!

Swoosh!
