That Day When Suzuki-kun Wasn't the Mob-B!

Stepping out of the receding pillar of light, Finn casually rubbed his neck. He felt a bit sluggish after taking a direct hit from Fairy Glitter, but it was far from enough to defeat him—especially since his own primary elemental affinity was light. It was an incredibly powerful spell, just not powerful enough.

”Seriously...?”

The entire stadium stared in breathless disbelief. Seeing Finn emerge completely unscathed from one of Fairy Tail’s Three Great Magics shattered their understanding of reality.

”How is that even possible?!”

”That was Fairy Glitter!”

”Didn’t that spell max out the Magical Power Finder at 9,999 points?!”

Whether it was the audience, the organizers, or the mages of Fairy Tail, everyone was at a complete loss.

Up in the stands, Mavis Vermillion’s eyes widened. Does this man even have a weakness? She had crafted what she believed to be the perfect strategy. Having her strongest mages gang up on him four-to-one after he had exhausted himself against Jura, and even entrusting Laxus with Fairy Glitter—it should have been a guaranteed checkmate. Yet, this was the result?

Think! Think! Think! Think!

Mavis’s mind raced, desperate for a countermeasure. With her meticulously coordinated assault having failed, she knew an absolute disaster was about to erupt. If she couldn’t formulate a new plan immediately, Fairy Tail would be wiped out. But her options were non-existent. Over on the other side of the city, Erza was locked in a brutal three-way battle royal against Kagura and Minerva. The rest of Sabertooth’s fighters had already been cleared out by Natsu’s group before they engaged Finn.

Mavis let out a long, heavy sigh and rubbed her temples. ”At least Erza is his lover...” she muttered, finding a bizarre, singular silver lining in the impending massacre.

Down on the plaza, Finn didn’t waste a second. He blurred into motion, reappearing directly in front of Gajeel. Before the Iron Dragon Slayer could even react, Finn buried a front kick directly into his stomach!

”GAAAAAHHHHH!!!”

Gajeel’s eyes practically bulged out of his skull. It felt as though his internal organs were being violently evicted through his spine. He hovered on the precipice of death for a fleeting second before Finn mercilessly yanked him back to reality—by tightly gripping his ankle.

”Oh no...”

A groan echoed through the Fairy Tail ranks. Having just witnessed what Finn did to Gray, they knew exactly what was about to happen. Without a shred of hesitation, Finn hoisted Gajeel up and swung the heavy, iron-scaled Dragon Slayer like a massive club, slamming him directly into Gray!

”Gahhh!” Gray screamed in agony as he was violently bludgeoned by his own guildmate, sent tumbling away into the distance once again.

”Gray-sama!” Juvia shrieked from the audience, utterly helpless as Gray vanished into the rubble, likely unconscious.

Normally, Gajeel’s iron-hard body would have easily withstood the impact, but Finn’s force was simply too overwhelming. Spinning wildly and completely disoriented, Gajeel was abruptly snapped back to his senses by Natsu’s furious roar.

”What the hell are you doing, Metalhead?! Don’t be weak! You want me to save you like some damsel in distress?!”

”...You don’t have to tell me that, Salamander!” Gajeel spat. Forcing his dizzy consciousness to focus, he activated his magic. The leg Finn was currently gripping instantly transformed into a jagged, razor-sharp iron blade! ”Let me go, you bastard!”

Gajeel anticipated that the sudden, lethal transformation would force Finn to release his grip or risk losing his fingers. Instead, completely ignoring the serrated iron biting into his palm, Finn simply clenched his hand tighter, crushing the iron blade!

”AAAAARGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Gajeel howled in blinding pain.

Unfazed, Finn casually swung his shrieking weapon directly at Natsu.

”Shit!” Natsu cursed, bracing himself as Gajeel’s heavy body slammed into him. The impact rattled Natsu’s bones, but he desperately threw his arms around Gajeel, catching him to prevent them both from being launched into the next district.

”ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG!!!”

Suddenly, a deafening, earth-shattering roar ripped through the plaza. Laxus Dreyar was making his final move.

Knowing he had absolutely nothing left in the tank after this, Laxus tapped into his absolute maximum potential. ”Dragon Force!”

His upper body violently expanded, heavy metallic dragon scales erupting across his skin as his muscles bulked up with monstrous power. His electrical output surged to an incomprehensible level, turning him into a literal incarnation of living lightning!

”AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGG!”

He poured his very soul into this final strike. He would do whatever it took to defeat Finn!

”Dragon Slayer’s Secret Art: Roaring Thunder!”

Charging his fist with a blinding concentration of black and gold electricity, Laxus lunged forward, delivering a punch that unleashed a thunderclap!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!

The shockwave annihilated the street, the electricity violently sweeping Natsu and Gajeel out of the blast radius and saving them from Finn’s immediate wrath. Yet, standing in the very epicenter of the destruction, Finn simply absorbed the blow, grabbed Laxus by the sides of his head, and delivered a brutal, point-blank headbutt!

Crack!

Laxus’s vision instantly swam. His consciousness shattered against the limits of human endurance. He knew it was over. He knew exactly what was coming next.

You three... do your best, Laxus thought, his inner voice fading.

Finn’s hand clamped around Laxus’s throat. Lifting the massive Dragon Slayer high into the air, Finn violently slammed him spine-first into the bedrock!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!

”LAXUS!” Natsu and Gajeel screamed in unison.

The Lightning Dragon Slayer lay motionless in the crater, completely defeated. Finn stood unfazed amidst the ruins, his gaze slowly shifting towards his final two targets.

Yet, facing this absolute monster, Natsu and Gajeel refused to back down. Instead, they pushed past their limits, drawing on their ultimate magical reserves to finish this battle!

”DRAGON FORCE!”

The two Dragon Slayers roared as their bodies underwent dramatic transformations. Gajeel’s skin became fully plated in pitch-black, steel-like dragon scales, massively enhancing his speed, mass, and striking power. Beside him, Natsu’s body radiated heat like an active volcano, draconic scales forming across his flesh as his magical pressure threatened to melt the city.

Their magic surged, an unstoppable wave of raw, primal energy aimed entirely at Finn!

Meanwhile, far in the distance, lying broken in the rubble, Gray Fullbuster was on the verge of blacking out. Every nerve in his body screamed in agony. His consciousness was slipping away into the comforting darkness. Yet a fierce, burning frustration violently anchored him to the waking world. He despised feeling this weak.

No... Ice-Make is the most versatile, strongest magic of all!

Clenching his bloody fists, Gray forced his battered body to slowly stand up, a freezing aura erupting around him as he prepared to rejoin his brothers in this impossible war!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!
