That Day When Suzuki-kun Wasn't the Mob-B!

”Are you serious right now?” Suzuki asked again, staring blankly at the towering Sorcerer.

”Of course I am~!” Gojo replied, his bright, cocky smile never faltering. ”What’s wrong? Are you scared? As the brand new Clan Head of the terrifying Zenin Clan, you can’t possibly be a cowardly chicken, right? Are you too terrified to fight me, Suzuki-kun~? Coward~! Bawk, bawk, bawk~!”

”...”

The entire Zenin Clan stood in absolute, paralyzed silence. They clenched their fists, their knuckles turning white as they glared at Gojo. They were legitimately wondering how the strongest being on the planet could be so incredibly annoying and childish.

Suzuki, however, remained perfectly calm. He reached into his pocket, pulled out his smartphone, and hit record.

”...What are you doing?” Gojo stopped his silly chicken dance, completely dumbfounded by the civilian technology.

”I am recording you,” Suzuki answered flatly.

”Why?” Shouldn’t Suzuki be raging with anger right now?

”Because if you try to start a fight with me, I will upload this video to the global internet to show the entire world exactly how stupid the ’Strongest Sorcerer’ actually is.”

”....”

For a brief, glorious second, Satoru Gojo was completely at a loss for words. Then, recovering his ego, he instantly teleported directly in front of Suzuki, reaching out to snatch the smartphone from his hand.

Glitch!

”You’re a bit slow,” Suzuki’s voice echoed from a few feet away.

In the exact microsecond Gojo had materialized, Suzuki had already safely relocated himself, calmly sliding the smartphone back into his pocket.

”Oh?” Gojo was genuinely surprised.

The blindfold covering Gojo’s eyes suddenly slipped down. For the first time, Gojo actively activated his Six Eyes—a legendary ocular mutation that allowed him to see and process Cursed Energy at the atomic level.

Suzuki felt a brief wave of helplessness wash over him. It really was unfair that someone was just born with such a massive genetic cheat code. Unlike the meatheads in the Zenin Clan, who were too stupid to comprehend advanced physics, Suzuki knew Gojo would likely be the only person on earth capable of understanding exactly how he was manipulating the quantum gaps between physical frames.

Yet, this was the perfect opportunity. This was Suzuki’s final test. He needed to know if his Frame Deletion ability could truly match Gojo’s absolute defense.

This was the final exam for his physics-based combat build.

I can’t kill him, obviously, Suzuki sighed inwardly, accepting his mathematical limits.

Gojo represented the literal concept of ”Infinity.” His energy output and defensive capabilities were mathematically limitless. In Gojo’s god-like eyes, standard Projection Sorcery users like Naobito and Naoya were essentially just fast-moving worms. They were quick, but they still had to obey the laws of physics.

But Suzuki didn’t view Gojo as an unbeatable monster. To Suzuki, Satoru Gojo was simply a massive ”Physics Anomaly” that could be solved if you applied the correct equation.

And so, the duel of the ”Zero Paradoxes” began.

Gojo’s innate technique, Infinity, brought the ancient mathematical concept of the ”Achilles and the Tortoise” paradox to life. The closer an object gets to Gojo, the slower it moves, dividing the space between them infinitely until the object completely stops. You can literally never reach him.

If it were the arrogant Naoya fighting, he would just try to run faster, stupidly hoping sheer speed could cross an infinite distance.

He really is an idiot, Suzuki thought, shaking his head.

”....”

Naoya, standing off to the side, felt deeply insulted despite Suzuki not actually saying anything out loud.

Like everyone else in the compound, Naoya was holding his breath, watching the 28th Head of the Zenin Clan face off against Satoru Gojo. Could Suzuki actually do the impossible? Could he defeat Gojo? They didn’t know, but for the first time, the clan secretly hoped their new leader would win.

Suzuki ignored the crowd. He needed 100% of his processing power to calculate the anomaly standing in front of him.

How could he bypass Infinity?

Speed was meaningless. Distance was meaningless. But Suzuki had found a theoretical solution: Quantum Tunneling.

In quantum mechanics, a particle can completely bypass a physical barrier if its probability wave allows it to ”tunnel” through to the other side without ever actually traveling through the barrier itself.

I have to show him that he isn’t as omnipotent as he thought it be. The thought of fighting Gojo was so troublesome, but he knew that he had to do it, or else, there would be a lot of intense headaches waiting for him.

Suzuki activated Frame Deletion. Instead of trying to cross the infinite space between him and Gojo, he mathematically defined two separate points in reality.

He defined ”Frame 1” as his current position, exactly 5 meters away from Gojo. He defined ”Frame 24” as the spatial coordinate directly inside Gojo’s absolute defense, right next to his face.

Instead of traveling, running, or crossing the distance, Suzuki literally deleted the 22 frames in between. For a single, frozen microsecond, he bypassed the concept of distance entirely.

”—?!”

Suzuki was already there. His fist was raised and moving.

Gojo’s Six Eyes instantly screamed warning signals to his brain: Alert! A mass has suddenly manifested at coordinate (x,y,z) without traversing a physical vector!

But it was too late.

Despite his god-like eyes, Gojo’s brain and body were still bound by human biology. Even if his eyes processed the anomaly instantly, it still took his brain 0.1 seconds to send a physical signal to his muscles to react.

And in that 0.1-second gap, Satoru Gojo was hit.

BAAAM!

Gojo was violently blown backward by the kinetic impact. His hands flew up instinctively to protect himself, and he instantly teleported away, flaring his massive aura to create distance.

Suzuki didn’t follow up with a combo. He immediately backed away. Fighting Gojo was like trying to punch a living, breathing calculus formula. The sheer amount of processing power required to bypass Infinity felt like it was melting his brain.

Thank god for the Manager, Suzuki thought, wincing. If the AI hadn’t automated the calculations, Suzuki’s brain would have literally short-circuited.

”He hit him!”

”That’s impossible...!”

”How did he do that?!”

Naobito, the Hei unit, Maki, Mai—every single person in the courtyard was utterly dumbfounded. It was the first time in their lives they had ever seen Satoru Gojo take a clean hit.

It was just one strike. Just one punch. But it entirely shattered the illusion of Gojo’s invincibility. It proved that, with the right application of physics, Suzuki could touch a god.

However—

”You didn’t ’travel’ here,” Gojo said, landing softly on the dirt. He wiped a small speck of dust from his cheek, his blue eyes glowing with intense fascination. ”You just ’became’ here. That is incredibly dangerous.”

Suzuki rolled his eyes and let out a heavy sigh. As expected, Gojo had instantly decoded the mechanics of the attack.

”...Your eyes are completely unfair,” Suzuki muttered.

”You’re using the 24-frame rule to weaponize Zeno’s Paradox!” Gojo laughed out loud, genuinely thrilled. ”You aren’t moving an infinite distance like I do. You are moving in absolute zero time! Hahaha! You are amazing, Suzuki-kun!”

Instead of being angry or depressed about getting hit, Gojo was ecstatic. He hadn’t been touched in years.

Gojo’s application of Zeno’s paradox forced objects to slow down infinitely. Suzuki’s application allowed him to reach his destination in zero time by simply deleting the journey. It was a brilliant, highly creative counter to Infinity.

”But,” Gojo smirked, the playful energy vanishing for a brief second. ”What are you going to do now? My Six Eyes have already recorded the anomaly. You can’t use the exact same trick twice.”

Gojo was right. Frame Deletion was one of the very few concepts in reality that could theoretically bypass Infinity. But because Suzuki hadn’t killed him in that first strike, Gojo’s eyes had adapted. Unless Suzuki had an entirely different, world-breaking physics equation hidden up his sleeve, he couldn’t touch Gojo again.

”Can we please just stop here?” Suzuki asked, aggressively rubbing his temples. ”I am getting an intense, borderline lethal migraine just from calculating the math required to fight you.”

”.....”

The entire Zenin Clan sweatdropped.

Yup. Suzuki just wanted to end the fight so he could take some aspirin.
