The moment they heard Luna’s voice calling from outside, both of them pulled back and scrambled for their clothes.

Not because they were afraid of being caught having sex—Nyx wouldn’t have minded that at all.

In fact, a small, degenerate part of her would have preferred if her niece stood in the corner and watched as she was utterly pleasured, utterly destroyed, utterly claimed by the hero.

She could already imagine Luna’s flushed face, her wide eyes, her breathless little gasps.

No, the problem was the bodies.

The disfigured, mutilated, absolutely nightmare-inducing bodies strewn across the floor like discarded dolls.

Even though Luna wasn’t the same naive girl she used to be, there was no way Nyx could let her see this. No way she could explain why half a dozen men had been tortured to death in her secret shed.

Nyx’s mind raced. What could she do? Where could she hide them? They couldn’t just—

Luca waved his hand.

A portal shimmered into existence—dark, swirling, hungry and engulfed every single corpse.

Blood, bone, flesh, all of it vanished in seconds. The wooden floor was still stained, still wet with gore, but at least the bodies were gone.

Nyx let out a breath she didn’t know she’d been holding.

She smiled at Luca. ”Convenient.”

Then she frowned, looking down at herself. Blood was everywhere—her face, her neck, her hands, her clothes. Every inch of her was painted red.

Luca wasn’t much better. They looked like they had just crawled out of a slaughterhouse.

”What about the blood, Hero?” She gestured at herself, at him, at the floor. ”We can’t exactly walk out like this.”

Luca studied the problem for a moment, then smiled. ”Don’t worry. I’ll handle it.”

Nyx nodded. She trusted him.

Together, they stepped toward the door.

—

Outside, Luna stood waiting, her heart light and full.

The fact of the matter was she had been changing ever since Luca arrived—growing happier, more confident, more like the person she had always wanted to be.

But today, there was a special radiance to her, a warmth that hadn’t been there before and this was all because of last night.

For the first time in years, she had shared a proper, heartfelt chat with her mother and sister.

At first, it had been just Lulu and Luna talking, bouncing ideas off each other, occasionally glancing at their mother who sat on the bed hugging a pillow like a shield.

Leona had been quiet, her responses clipped, her eyes averted.

But then Lulu had said something wrong, something about a childhood memory that was completely inaccurate and Leona had corrected her.

Not coldly. Not dismissively. Just...corrected her. Like a mother would.

Luna had pounced on that opening.

She had brought up another memory, another moment from their shared past, and Leona had again corrected her, this time with a hint of warmth.

And then Lulu had added her own story, and somehow, miraculously, Leona had started talking.

Not much at first. Short sentences. Hesitant words.

But then Lulu had made a joke, a terrible, ridiculous joke about her chickens and how one of them peed on her face while she was sleeping and Leona had laughed.

A real, genuine, surprised laugh that had burst out of her like sunlight breaking through clouds.

That had broken the dam.

They went on to talk about the past, about the present, about silly things and serious things.

Leona had shared stories Luna had never heard before—stories about her own childhood, about her hopes for her daughters, about the dreams she had buried so deep she had almost forgotten them.

Lulu had made more jokes, and Luna had asked thoughtful questions, and somehow, impossibly, they had become a family again.

None of them had slept because of their enthusiasm. They had just talked and laughed and cried a little, until exhaustion finally claimed them.

When Luna woke up this morning, her head was resting on her mother’s lap. Lulu was curled against Leona’s side, drooling slightly.

And Leona, cold, distant, untouchable Leona had her arms wrapped around both of them, holding them close.

She had almost teared up on the spot from pure happiness, but she hadn’t disturbed them. They looked so peaceful and comfy together.

Instead, she had slipped out with the brightest smile on her face.

After a bath and a change of clothes, she had put her game face back on.

There was work to do.

She had recently been reading the medical books Luca gave her, devouring the knowledge like a starving woman at a feast.

The village’s ignorance of basic medicine had become painfully clear after watching her father scam his way through people’s illnesses with nothing but charm and false confidence.

She had also heard stories of a recurring sickness that struck the village, causing terrible pain, and she had learned that she herself had suffered from it as a newborn.

So, to combat that, every day, she read, she took notes, she learned.

It was like the world was opening up before her.

Of course, despite the books, she still went to Luca with dozens of questions, and he always answered patiently.

Today was no different. She had come looking for him to clarify some doubts regarding Esme’s recent case.

She had checked his house first, but he wasn’t there. After asking around the village, another elf had told her that Luca had been walking with Nyx toward this direction.

Following the path, she had found Auntie Nyx’s infamous shed.

Luna shivered just thinking about the shed. She had only been inside once, as a child, and that had been enough.

The things in there...the knives, the clamps, the strange metal contraptions...she had nightmares for weeks.

But she was brave now. She was grown. She could handle it.

But just as she was wondering if no one was inside, the door suddenly opened. Two figures stepped out and quickly closed it behind them.

Luna brightened immediately. ”Auntie Nyx, Lu—”

But she couldn’t finish the sentence. Horror flooded her face as she stumbled back several steps, pointing at them with wide eyes.

”You—you two! What’s wrong?! Why—why are you covered in blood?!”

Both Luca and Nyx looked utterly hideous. Blood coated their faces, bodies, clothes, and even matted their hair.

They looked like they had just climbed out of a pool of gore.

Luca waved his hand casually, as if he hadn’t just appeared from a murder scene.

”Don’t worry, Luna. It’s nothing serious.” He glanced at Nyx. ”It’s just that your Auntie here is having the time of the month.”

Nyx’s head snapped toward him, her eyes blazing.

”And when I tried to help her...” Luca continued with a chuckle. ”...things got out of hand.”

Hearing this, Nyx started pinching his waist with murderous intent while forcing a smile.

”The Hero was just joking, dear.” She glared at him. ”As if I could possibly be the reason for that. Isn’t that right, hero?”

Luca nodded quickly. ”Yes, yes. Just joking.”

He cleared his throat before explaining, ”We were actually butchering some chickens inside. Made quite a mess.”

Luna blinked. ”Chickens?”

Nyx nodded eagerly, latching onto the explanation.

”A bunch of them were roaming around my shed recently. They kept pooping everywhere. I got fed up and grabbed them all. Dragged the Hero along to help me deal with them.”

She gestured at the shed. ”We had the time of our lives chopping them up and pulling out their feathers. If you had come a little earlier, you would have heard all their screaming.”

Luna shivered. She didn’t want to think about that.

”Why don’t you go inside and take a look?” Nyx offered. ”Some of them are still moving around even without their heads. It’s rather funny.”

”No, no!” Luna waved her hands frantically. ”I really don’t want to see that.”

She glanced back at the shed with genuine concern.

”In fact, I think you should lock the door. If Lulu came here and saw that, she would faint. And then she’d cry for hours.” She sighed in relief. ”It’s a good thing I found you and not her.”

Nyx and Luca exchanged a glance. A small, relieved smile passed between them.

Luca then looked at Luna and asked,

”What’s wrong, Luna? Why were you calling for your aunt so urgently?”

Luna blinked, pulled back to the present.

”Actually, I was searching for you, Luca. I have some questions about the test results. Medical things I don’t fully understand.”

Luca nodded, stepping away from the shed.

”Then come along. We can talk as we walk.”

He reached out to put a hand on her shoulder.

”I need a bath anyway. Let’s go to the lake.”

But Luna dodged his bloody hand.

”First, wipe off all that chicken blood before you touch me!” She made a face. ”I just took a bath this morning. I’m not getting dirty again.”

Nyx’s eyes sparkled with mischief. ”Oh, come on, darling. Your aunt wants to give you a hug!”

She lunged.

Luna yelped and ran. ”No, Auntie Nyx! Stop! I just bathed!”

”Don’t hide from me!” Nyx chased her, arms outstretched, blood-stained and laughing. ”One little hug won’t hurt!”

”YES IT WILL!”

Luca simply smiled, watching the two of them playfully chase each other as all three made their way toward the lake.

Along the path, Luna managed to ask her medical questions, and Luca answered patiently, satisfying her thirst for knowledge.

Once they reached the lake, Luca and Nyx didn’t hesitate. They stripped off their clothes completely and stepped naked into the water.

The three of them were close and familiar enough that it felt natural, and with Luca by her side, Nyx didn’t have to worry about any other male elf seeing her.

It was refreshing to dip into the cool lake and wash away the blood.

While Luca and Nyx bathed naturally, scrubbing each other down and laughing—Luna couldn’t help but blush fiercely at the sight.

Luca’s penis was as massive as ever, and no matter how many times she had seen it, it always made her body heat up.

His sculpted figure also made her stare with open lust, wishing she could taste him again.

And then there was her Auntie Nyx.

Luna couldn’t help but stare. Nyx’s body was incredible—more mature than hers, with curves that seemed to bend light.

Every movement she made was somehow seductive, from the way she wrung out her hair to the way she scrubbed her breasts.

Water droplets traced paths down her skin, and Luna found herself swallowing hard.

But then shook her head violently.

’What’s wrong with me? She’s a woman and my aunt!’

She turned to Luca, who was doing lazy backstrokes and said,

”Oh, I also brought the test results from Esme.”

Luca glanced over. ”Wait, what? What test results?”

”The ones you did on Esme. The blood tests. Remember? The one you used to find that she had protein deficiency.”

Luca had a look of realisation.

”Right. Those.”

Luna pulled out a folder of papers from her bag.

”I used the books you gave me to transcribe everything into my own words, but there’s a lot I don’t understand. The numbers, the abbreviations—”

She opened the folder and began flipping through pages.

”There’s something called a complete blood count. I understand some of it, but there are values here that I have no reference for.” She pointed at a line. ”Like this one. What does it mean?”

Luca floated over, grabbing Nyx’s breasts as a flotation device, much to her amusement and looked at the paper.

”That’s the white blood cell count. It’s elevated, which usually indicates an infection or inflammation somewhere in the body.”

Luna scribbled notes furiously before pointing at another line on the paper.

”And this one? The ESR?”

”Erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Also elevated. Also indicates inflammation.”

”What about this? The plasma level?”

Luca’s answer came automatically, his mind half on the numbers, half on Nyx’s breasts, which he was using as pillows.

Luna kept asking, he kept answering, and Nyx kept smiling.

Then Luna turned a page.

”And this one?” Luna pointed. ”The one called ’unicornophil’? What does that mean? Also the value is 9.4%.”

Luca slapped Nyx’s breasts gently, making them bounce.

”Eosinophil.” He corrected absent-mindedly. ”It’s a type of white blood cell involved in allergic reactions. A high count usually means the body is reacting to something.”

Luna nodded, writing quickly. Then she looked up.

”So 9.4% is high?”

”Yeah, significantly higher than normal. A normal person is usually under 5%. So 9.4% means that person must have—”

He froze.

His hands stopped moving. His whole body went rigid. Nyx felt the change immediately and she turned in his arms, poking his chest.

”What’s wrong, Hero? Why did you stop?”

”Don’t tell me a snake thought your penis was a potential mate and it’s trying to make babies with your rod right now.”

Nyx joked, but Luca didn’t answer.

His mind was racing—connections firing, pieces falling into place, a picture forming that he hadn’t expected.
