Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

”You wish to remain here and serve the lord?”

I was caught off guard when I heard the new relic user we found saying this, but it didn’t seem like there was anything that was going to change his mind with the way that he nodded in response.

In the end, there wasn’t anything at the moment that we could do since this was his decision.

Only it didn’t seem like that was indeed the case.

”That hesitation in his eyes, it’s clear that something happened.”

”I’ll look into it.”

...

”The lord has his family as hostages?”

This was certainly not a situation that any of us had been expecting.

After all there was no doubt that this was the worst possible decision that one could make in this situation. It wasn’t as if this kind of thing wouldn’t be found out since behind us was the full power of the racial alliance.

Unless the lord was confident in hiding this fact from the entire continent, he certainly shouldn’t have done something like this.

But of course that wasn’t the case since we had already found out about this matter.

In the end, this was a foolish lord that didn’t think about the consequences of his actions. He was someone that was so fooled by his own confidence that he didn’t think anything could happen to him.

So now it was all about how to punish him.

”We’re sending in the shadow unit?”

”They were the ones that discovered the hostages, so they know the situation best out of everyone.”

”It seems like a pity that we’re sending in the shadow unit...No, it feels like it’s a bit of a waste.”

After all, the shadow unit was the elite assassination unit that had been formed from the forces of the racial alliance.

Those that were able to join the shadow unit were all elites that came from the top kingdoms in the racial alliance. So there really wasn’t a single force that would have been able to stop the shadow unit alone.

The fact that the shadow unit had been sent out was already quite the serious matter.

It meant that the racial alliance was planning on setting a precedent with this noble so that no one else would have a similar idea in the future. It was the way to make sure to nip this in the bud before it became a much more serious problem.

All that was left to do was to see the fate of this noble.

...

”Do you know who I am? Do you even know what you’re doing?”

When the noble was captured, he was captured alive.

The family of the new relic user that had been held hostage was freed and returned to their home. Though after returning to their home, they didn’t really seem like they felt safe in it.

After what happened, it had become a sort of trauma to them and now they didn’t want to remain in a place where this had happened.

Though it didn’t just end there.

”I want to join the shadow unit.”

After seeing what the shadow unit had done for his family, the new relic user made this declaration.

The leader of the shadow unit group that had been sent here couldn’t help revealing an awkward look in his eyes. After all, it wasn’t as if just anyone was allowed to join the shadow unit.

Those that were drafted into the shadow unit from the top countries of the racial alliance. They were all elites that stood above the rest, which was why they were able to do things that others couldn’t.

Even if he was a relic user, it wasn’t as if he had been trained for this kind of thing.

Which was why the leader of the shadow unit was hesitant to take them in.

But in the end, it wasn’t his decision to make.

The only thing that the leader of the shadow unit could do was report this matter upwards and the order that came was to take this relic user under his wings. It was a forced apprenticeship for the leader of the shadow unit.

It was clear that he wasn’t happy about this, but there was nothing that he could do when the orders came from above.

If there was one thing that they had been trained for, it was to obey the orders that came to them. So in the end, they really had no choice but to accept the relic user into the shadow unit.

Though in the future, it was a decision that they would be very happy about.

It was just that this wasn’t something that they knew right now.

Of course, it wasn’t as if the family of the relic user would be able to follow him into the shadow unit because of the nature of the shadow unit. So in the end, their arrangement came back to the racial alliance in the end.

”Where do you want to live?”

”Can we resettle into the Kite Kingdom?”

Hearing this, there was a trace of pride that filled me since I was an official from the Kite Kingdom in the first place.

Though it was clear that they were only choosing the Kite Kingdom because of the fame that it had established, it was still a fact that they chose to go to the Kite Kingdom.

The current Kite Kingdom was miles ahead of the Kite Kingdom of the past.

Since it was the Kite Kingdom that they chose, it was actually something that was easy to arrange.

Though the real profit from this wasn’t just the fact that a relic user was found.

It was the two relic users that were found afterwards.

It turned out that there were people that had hidden away because of what happened with the lord.

Once they heard about what happened to the lord, that was when they were finally comfortable with coming out and revealing their abilities.

In a way, the lord did contribute in the end.
