Era of Mist

Chapter 25: Chapter 25: Too Weak, Recuperating Again (Part 1)

GLUG GLUG GLUG. Teng Chaoguo’s head was buried in the urinal, bubbles roiling and popping under the surface.

Shi Tiexin’s face was hard as iron, completely unmoved. In the memories he was assimilating, he’d seen this guy arrogantly demand that he ”drink piss” on multiple occasions.

’Looks like this ”over-the-top” guy really has a thing for piss.’

’In that case, why shouldn’t he drink his fill from this very urinal!’

BAM! Shi Tiexin slammed his foot onto Teng Chaoguo’s back, forcefully grinding him down so he couldn’t lift his head from the urinal. The pressure he’d been holding back suddenly let loose, and a powerful stream gushed anew from his great hose with a WHOOSH, pouring directly onto the back of Teng Chaoguo’s head. It was like the most meticulous hairdresser, washing the hair inch by inch, every inch covered in foam.

The other four lackeys wanted to move but didn’t dare, utterly horrified. Their minds went blank as they stared, only registering that the stream was fast, the volume was copious, and the duration was extraordinarily long. After all this time, there was still no sign of it weakening.

’Just how much did you have stored up?!’

’Wait, when you stood up in Class 28 and said ”restroom,” don’t tell me you actually just needed to use the restroom!’

Teng Chaoguo gripped the rim of the urinal, struggling for his life, but he couldn’t break free from the foot pinning him down. After a long moment, Shi Tiexin’s stream finally weakened. He gave a final shiver, squeezed out two last spurts, then put his great hose back in his pants. He leisurely pulled them up, zipped his fly, and only then did he remove his foot from Teng Chaoguo’s back and step aside.

”BLUARGH—!” Teng Chaoguo violently pulled his head out, throwing it back with such force that his long hair whipped around, scattering droplets everywhere. For a moment, he almost looked like a mermaid emerging from the water.

He gasped for air, and then his expression changed drastically. He collapsed to the ground with a THUD and began to vomit violently. GAG, GAG, GAG. Teng Chaoguo wretched up enough liquid to cover half the floor, a disgusting mixture of God-knows-what. His lackeys instinctively moved to help him but then thought better of it, too disgusted to touch him. In the end, not a single one moved.

Besides, the way Shi Tiexin had just taken a piss—so ruthlessly and unhesitatingly—left all the lackeys trembling. His terrifying presence had already chilled them to the very bone.

Who would dare help the reeking, piss-soaked Teng Chaoguo now?

”AHHH—!! I’m going to kill you!!” Teng Chaoguo struggled up from the filth, screaming madly as he tried to lunge at Shi Tiexin. But before he could even get his footing, a vicious side kick had already swung at him.

BAM! With a scream of pain, Teng Chaoguo was sent flying sideways, THUDDING into the row of urinals. A whole section of them crashed over with a CRACK. The overturned urinals sent a huge wave SPLASHING out, drenching Teng Chaoguo from head to toe.

His lackeys scrambled to get out of the way, no longer caring whether Teng Chaoguo lived or died.

Shi Tiexin watched Teng Chaoguo without any expression. ’Wasn’t this kid beaten a little too miserably today? Still, you reap what you sow. If you hadn’t bullied ”me,” why would I be beating you now? If you hadn’t ambushed me, why would I have shoved your head in a urinal?’

’This is all your own damn fault!’

’Besides... kill me? A weakling like you? What a joke!’

—’Did you see that? We have no reason to be afraid of a weakling like him’—

Shi Tiexin sent this sentence to the consciousness within him, and in an instant, he felt the coalesced mass of awareness begin to vibrate. It was as if a set of wind chimes was ringing with a pleasant DING-DONG inside his mind. The speed at which the clump of consciousness was dissolving suddenly accelerated. If before it had been dissolving at a rate of one ten-thousandth or one hundred-thousandth, it now sped up to five-thousandths, or even one-hundredth.

The dissolution and merging of the consciousness brought Shi Tiexin an inexplicable sense of comfort. It felt as though his entire being, from the inside out, from his appearance to his very essence, was undergoing some kind of sublimation and evolution.

’Perhaps this is the reward for the Mandate Mission?’

Shi Tiexin was in a great mood. He ignored Teng Chaoguo and walked out of the dark restroom.

Outside the dark restroom, a crowd was craning their necks in anticipation.

The big guy was coming out again!

After the sounds of urination, shouting, thuds, gurgling, and cracking, the big guy had emerged once more!

He was the victor of this dark restroom brawl!

”I wasn’t mistaken. That is truly the aura of the strong.” Liu Shufeng stood with his arms crossed, an arrogant look on his face. ”I, Liu Chuanfeng, will be waiting for you on the throne of the strongest to accept your challenge.”

”Wonderful! Wonderful!” Tears streamed from Zhao Qingmiao’s eyes like two mighty rivers. ”Boss, I admit I was wrong. I was so wrong. I’ll change, I swear! From now on, you’re my boss!”

Everyone else was discussing excitedly, spreading the news like wildfire.

Only Zhou Nan was left with a face full of shocked disbelief, staring blankly as Shi Tiexin walked over step by step.

’Impossible. How is this possible?’

’That was one guy against five!’

’Look at him... his steps are steady, his face is calm, he doesn’t look injured at all... Is he a fucking War God?!’

’Huh?! Oh crap. This... this guy... why is he staring at me?!’

Zhou Nan suddenly realized Shi Tiexin was staring intently at him, and his heart was seized with a great panic. ’Don’t tell me... he already knows I was the one who instigated Teng Chaoguo to make a move?’

’N-No way. I didn’t leave any openings!’

’Could it be that this guy is so incredibly perceptive that he’s seen right through me?!’

’Terrifying. This guy is truly terrifying...’

While Zhou Nan was trembling in fear, Shi Tiexin was staring at him as inspiration struck.

’No matter how tight the lockdown is, there are always guys who can find a loophole. The school doesn’t have any elementary school textbooks, so I just need to find someone to get them for me, right? And this Zhou Nan, he’s got five or six packs of cigarettes stashed away. I don’t believe for a second he brought them all in at the start of the term. He must have a way to get off campus and get things.’

’So, I’ll have to rely on him for my elementary school textbooks.’

’Hmm... I wonder if I have enough assets to convince this guy to run an errand for me? In any case, I’m completely broke right now.’

Shi Tiexin stared intently at Zhou Nan for a long moment before turning to leave.

As soon as Shi Tiexin left, people immediately rushed into the dark restroom, wanting to see Teng Chaoguo’s condition and confirm whether they’d actually had a bloody brawl or just cut some deal.

The result left everyone so shocked their minds went blank.

Teng Chaoguo had been kicked into a urinal! When he saw people crowding around to watch, Teng Chaoguo practically went insane, screaming at them to get lost or he’d kill them. But having just had his head forced down to drink piss, Teng Chaoguo’s intimidating presence had plummeted. Before, he was the Black-Handed Hungry Tiger, and everyone was scared silent. Now, he was just pee-soaked chicken feet. Who would be afraid of him anymore?

Besides, his threats, extortion, and general bullying had long since earned him the public’s ire. Now it was just a case of kicking a man when he’s down.

”Fuck you, who do you think you’re gonna kill?”

”I’ve been around a long time, and this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone soaking in a urinal! Hahaha!”

”He hasn’t even climbed out yet. Looks like he likes it in there.”

”Oh, that’s easy to solve. Here, I have to pee a lot. Watch me demonstrate the drip irrigation method...”

”Mine’s yellow and high-proof. Smooth on the palate, a straight shot to the throat!”

”Teng! Drinks! Pee!”

”Teng! Drinks! Pee!”

A crowd of people was jeering, eventually clapping their hands and chanting together. The dark restroom was filled with a joyous atmosphere. Teng Chaoguo’s heart was like dead ash. He suddenly knew that his lifelong reputation had been destroyed in a single day.

As long as he couldn’t wash away the name ”Teng Heniao,” he would never be able to make it here again.
