Why Did You Provoke Him? All His Disciples Have the Potential to Become Emperors!

18: Didn’t your master teach you?Just as the sky began to brighten, Su Yao exited her Cultivation state, pushed open the door, and without even eating breakfast, headed straight down the mountain toward the Arena.

Li Haotian watched his Disciple’s retreating figure, a look of distraction appearing on his face.

Back when he participated in the Grand Disciple Recruitment Competition, did his own Revered Master watch him the same way?

A nameless fury surged in his heart; sooner or later, he would personally avenge his Revered Master!

Only 15 talented Disciples remained in the Arena, meaning someone still needed to receive a bye.

Su Yao was lucky not to draw the bye in this round of lots; the one receiving the bye was Pao Huiyi, the last remaining Disciple from Tianzhu Peak.

Su Yao’s opponent for this fight was Du Xian of Cai Xia Peak. When Du Xian first entered the sect, Li Haotian had been somewhat interested in him, but since the System disagreed, he did not take him as a Disciple.

He was assigned to Chief Caiyun of Cai Xia Peak.

“Junior Sister Su Yao, as your Senior Brother, I advise you: my current strength is at the Early Stage of Entering Profundity. If you insist on fighting me, you will only bring yourself trouble.”

“If you surrender now, you can still maintain some dignity.”

Du Xian confidently clasped his hands behind his back, a calm smile on his face.

“Look, look at the Aura of our Cai Xia Peak! Isn’t that right, Chief Huang?”

Caiyun said this while turning his head to look at Huang Bocheng.

The latter could only give an awkward, bitter smile. He dared not speak up to criticize, as the Chiefs of the Nine Great Main Peaks not only possessed immense power and strong Disciples, but their personal strength also far surpassed that of Chiefs like him, the Tiangang Chiefs.

“Ready! Begin!”

As the referee gave the command, Su Yao completely ignored Du Xian and immediately launched a fierce attack against him.

The Fire Phoenix Whip, like a swimming Dragon in her hands, lashed wildly at Du Xian with extreme speed and tricky angles.

Du Xian remained calm and collected, easily dodging the whip attacks and even reaching out to grab the Fire Phoenix Whip directly.

Although the high temperature of the Fire Phoenix Whip burned his skin slightly, it was limited to that, not even counting as a minor injury.

Su Yao reviewed the flaws in her whipping technique and immediately increased her speed. Du Xian instantly began to struggle and was forced to pull out his Magic Treasure to defend himself.

“Ten Thousand Rays of Sunset Glow!”

Du Xian suddenly leaped into the air and roared. His entire body was instantly enveloped by colored clouds, and immediately afterward, massive amounts of golden sunset glow shone directly onto the Arena through the cloud layer.

This was the first time Su Yao had witnessed such a technique. Her eyes instantly went blind, and the dazzling light continuously eroded her consciousness.

“Ah!”

A painful scream escaped Su Yao’s lips. The light was so blinding that it instantly caused excruciating pain in her eyes.

“Now is the time!”

Du Xian covered his right hand with intense flames and smashed it directly down towards Su Yao below.

It was like a divine soldier descending from the sky; his right fist rapidly closed in on Su Yao.

When she had previously fought against the Willow Tree, the Willow Tree constantly ambushed Su Yao with branches from all directions. This made her extremely sensitive now, and she instantly detected the danger.

Even without seeing the opponent’s attack, she could sense a crisis lingering in her heart. She knew that if she didn’t do something now, she would surely be defeated!

Su Yao originally did not want to use this method, as the damage was too great. Her Revered Master had said that once the Black Flame touched anyone with a lower cultivation base than her, it could not be extinguished.

Du Xian was only one Realm higher than her, so dealing with him should be difficult, but not a life-or-death crisis. After long consideration, Su Yao decided to use this trump card.

The instant his fist was about to make contact with Su Yao, a wisp of Black Flame suddenly appeared on her fingertip.

Relying on the direction from which the opponent’s Aura was coming, Su Yao lightly pointed forward. The Black Flame immediately flew out and made direct contact with the flames on his right fist.

The next moment, something unbelievable happened: the Black Flame instantly devoured the fire on his hand completely upon contact. At the same time, the Spiritual Energy inside him went out of control, continuously generating flames only to have them consumed by the Black Flame.

Fed repeatedly, the wisp of Black Flame had grown into a small cluster of fire. Du Xian was horrified and tried to retreat, but realized that the flame had somehow already stuck to his Daoist Robe.

Immediately, the Daoist Robe began to burn at an extremely fast rate. The moment it touched his skin, he felt only heart-wrenching pain and hastily stripped off his Daoist Robe.

In less than a few breaths, the Daoist Robe was completely consumed, and the Black Flame grew stronger again. As if possessing sentience, it lunged toward him, its target this time being his underwear.

“Wait! Holy crap! Wait! I surrender!”

Du Xian frantically ran away, clutching his remaining shorts, while the Black Flame chased him. Only after he shouted his surrender did the flame subside, slowly dissipating between heaven and earth.

The scene instantly fell into a deathly silence.

Chief Caiyun, who had just been smiling widely and acting incredibly arrogant, now had a dark expression.

This was simply too humiliating!

The strongest among Cai Xia Peak’s new batch of Disciples behaved like this, having to clutch his crotch after stripping off his clothes to prevent the flames from burning through—it was utterly mortifying!

“Pfft.”

Huang Bocheng couldn’t hold back a chuckle. Caiyun immediately shot him a cold glare.

Frightened, Huang Bocheng quickly covered his mouth and shook his head repeatedly.

“Hmph!”

Caiyun stood up resentfully and turned to leave. None of the surrounding people dared to stop him, and only after his figure vanished did many start making fun of what had just happened.

“Hahahahaha! I thought Tianzhu Peak was already chaotic enough, but I didn’t expect Cai Xia Peak to be even more explosive!”

“For such an amusing incident to occur during such a grand event is truly a rare sight in a thousand years. I wonder how Chief Caiyun is feeling.”

“I’m worried about whether that child will be punished by Caiyun when he goes back. What if he truly gets unfairly targeted?”

“What to do? Make a big deal out of it, of course. Everyone knows how petty Chief Caiyun is.”

Du Xian also felt ashamed. He pulled out another Daoist Robe from his Storage Space and quickly changed into it.

Everyone only saw his humiliating moment, but they didn’t see him fighting with all his might against the Black Flame.

The instant the flame touched his skin, he tried every method he could use, realizing they were completely ineffective before decisively stripping off his clothes.

It wasn’t that he was cowardly; it was just that he couldn’t resist this thing. Unless he used his full power to suppress it, but once Su Yao recovered from the dazzling light, he would certainly lose!

As someone who possessed a Fire Spiritual Root, he naturally knew how high-grade this flame was—it was something he had never seen before—and a sense of curiosity arose in his heart.

“Junior Sister Su, where did the Black Flame come from? Did you use some special technique?”

Su Yao could now barely open her eyes, and a confident, happy smile appeared on her face.

“My Revered Master taught me this. Didn’t your Revered Master teach you?”
