I Only Summon Villainesses

It was a good thing that soul damage wasn’t physical. Even though I could bring its effects back to reality, there were no bruises on my face when I withdrew from my soul sanctum, as the lodestar now referred to it.

The sudden upgrade was strange and important, and after checking my status information, I had been able to figure out who my third summon was.

“A new skill… and six summons, not five.”

I was sure the three who had not yet been given a chance to debut would be very mad and disappointed at whoever had hijacked their chance to come out of whatever hole they were in.

I stared down at White Feather, who now slept on my bedding. Since she passed out, she hadn’t even flicked a finger and had only been sleeping peacefully. It looked like she had not slept in many years and was finally making up for all the time she had missed.

“She’s my summon now…”

I turned and willed her status into existence. If she truly belonged to me, I believed I would be able to see it with ease.

And surprisingly… I did.

[Spirit Profile]

Name: White Lily of the Feathered Blade

Title: White Feather, The Thousand Pace Maiden

Spirit Tier: Legend

Fortitude: Unavailable

[Signature Abilities]

[The Thousand-Pace Wind (Ultimate Mobility)]

Effect: Up to 7 consecutive Feather Steps in under 2 seconds, each potentially accompanied by a strike. Enemies see her standing still—then suddenly 7 feathers drift through the air, 7 people are dead, and she is back where she started. The quintessential “White Feather” assassination technique. Her entire reputation was built on variants of this move.

SE Cost: Incredibly High

Drawback: Severe spirit essence drain. After using this technique, she cannot teleport for ~30 seconds, exposing her to retaliation during the recovery window.

[The Instant of White Snow (Ultimate Time-Stop)]

Effect: A maximum localized time-stop covering a 20-meter sphere. During the freeze, everything within the sphere halts—sound, light, motion, even magical effects. She walks through the paused world and acts as if the rest of creation is a photograph.

Drawback: Massive SE cost. After ending it, she is frozen in place for 2 seconds as time “catches up” with her.

[The Feathered Robe’s Benediction (Transformation / Hidden Ultimate)]

Effect: For 60 seconds, she unfurls into a full wingspan of feathers, turning into a pseudo-celestial once again. All her abilities operate at peak power. She can fly. Her time-stop refreshes instantly. Her teleports cost nothing. She becomes, briefly, what she once was—a being who walked between the heavens and the earth.

Drawback: Afterward—total collapse. She remains unconscious for hours.

My mouth almost fell open as I checked her stats and abilities.

“Oii, oii, iii… she was always this broken?”

It didn’t make sense. I had literally attacked her in her hall. If she had always been this strong, why didn’t she fight back?

On the contrary… when I pieced together what she had told me a few hours ago, the dots connected.

“It’s safe to say she was always this strong but lacked enough essence to even maintain a physical body…”

If she had used her abilities or exerted herself, who knows… she might have broken apart if she tried.

But now that she was my summon, her essence expenditure depended on me. She no longer needed to worry so much about spirit essence.

“Ah, it makes sense. I see why her complexion was getting better during the sex.”

I looked down at her once again.

I had wondered how I would obtain my next summon, what villainess she would be. I definitely did not expect it to happen this way — and certainly not the Matriarch of the Waterlands.

Talk about the twists and turns of fate.

“Now all that is left is to break all my attributes into the Advanced tier. Then I can go independent and start hunting them down.”

In a distant land on the Solarium Continent, over a desert that didn’t come close to Ashara in terms of heat, dunes of white sand stretched endlessly. Above them, a creature flew across the sky.

Several people wrapped in grey, tattered clothes ran across the white dunes, trying to escape the flying creature. But it was like an ant trying to escape the sky — the effort was commendable but fruitless.

The creature let out a thin screech, like glass shattering in the sky. It circled above them for a moment before suddenly diving toward the cohort crossing the desert.

At that same moment, the creature extended its vicious talons and struck the ground with a burst of wind that sent the dunes exploding and filled the air with a thick fog of sand.

The people had expected a direct attack, but somehow the wyvern struck the ground instead. For a moment, they were confused, wondering why.

“What summoner is foolish enough to abandon their summon to take on Arena Masters of the Iron Cults!”

“We will destroy him today!”

In the thick sandstorm, light sparked around them as each of them summoned different armor and gauntlets the size of boulders. But all that brute force could not save them from the man in silver armor who moved through the sand fog like lightning.

Cries of agony rose into the sky of the white desert, and there was absolutely no salvation for them.

By the time the fog settled, only one man walked out.

He removed his full-face helmet, his ashen hair falling over his face. A burn mark ran along one side of his face, consuming his eye and temple. How his hair had managed to grow across that scar remained a mystery, one he guarded dearly.

He mounted the spirit wyvern waiting for him.

“Our next stop is Eisenmark.”
