My Twin Dao Companions Are Reincarnated Empresses

The room was as empty as it had always been. There was no furniture, decoration, or other belongings inside, only a single cultivation mat placed on the floor.

Ji Yan was sitting cross-legged on it, while Gu Yuan stood beside Ji Yue a short distance away. Both of them were staring at her.

Unable to ignore their gazes any longer, Ji Yan frowned and asked, ”What? Why are you looking at me like this?”

”Nothing.”

The answer came from both Ji Yue and Gu Yuan at the same time.

Ji Yue’s eyes sparkled at the coincidence, and she couldn’t help but chuckle.

She slipped her arms around Gu Yuan’s neck and leaned her full weight against him, her movements natural and intimate as she rested her cheek lightly against his shoulder. Then, in a quite voice she said, ”Actually, the position of Sect Master for the Black Desolation Sect has still not been decided.”

She tilted her head just enough to look up at him.

”Who do you think should take it? Me or Yan? Or do you want it for yourself?”

Ji Yan, who had seemed only half-interested a moment ago, suddenly perked up. Her golden eyes fixed on Gu Yuan’s face, waiting for his answer.

Who will he choose?

”Then... Ji Yue.”

That was Gu Yuan’s answer.

He would have liked to see Ji Yan become the Sect Master, but from her personality, he doubted she would have any interest in actually dealing with the responsibilities that came with it. Ji Yue, on the other hand, was much more suited to the position.

So, he gave what he considered the logical answer.

Or maybe that was the wrong choice?

Seeing Ji Yan lower her head with a brief look of disappointment on her face, Gu Yuan couldn’t help but wonder.

He didn’t have much time to think about it.

Ji Yue’s eyes curved with delight as she looked at him.

”Ah, it seems you need a reward rather than a punishment.”

Her gaze lingered on his lips, the same lips that had just spoken her name. Without giving him any chance to react, she rose onto her tiptoes and pressed her lips against his.

Gu Yuan, far calmer in their presence than he had once been. Even after everything he had learned about how terrifying the two of them truly were, he only felt surprised for a moment before kissing her back without hesitation.

This time, he didn’t let her keep the initiative.

He wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her soft body against him as he deepened the kiss, taking control and thoroughly exploring her mouth.

In cultivation he still lagged far behind them; the road ahead remained long. But when it came to the relationship between a man and a woman, he still held a slight edge in experience. Whether that experience counted for much after his previous relationship had ended so badly, he did not know.

Regardless, he tangled his tongue with her soft, pink one, finally taking the time to savor the taste he had been too distracted to notice during their first kiss.

It was... heavenly.

Is it because she’s a cultivator?

Or simply because she’s Ji Yue?

Gu Yuan couldn’t say.

He only knew that he wanted to hold her a little closer.

When he finally pulled back, a thin string of saliva still connected their lips for a brief moment before it broke. Ji Yue’s face was flushed a deep pink. Her usual composed, assertive expression had completely melted into something soft and meek.

For a few seconds she seemed at a complete loss for words, still caught in the lingering sensation.

Gu Yuan smiled as he gently brushed a strand of silver hair behind her ear.

”Was that my reward or your reward?”

”It was my reward for all my hard work.”

Ji Yue answered honestly.

”Why? Is there something you want?”

”No.” Gu Yuan shook his head. ”The dowry I received from both of you was more than enough to satisfy my needs for a long time.”

”Well, don’t hesitate to tell us if you ever need anything.”

Gu Yuan nodded before carefully stepping away from the silver-haired woman and walking toward the red-haired one.

He had just thoroughly kissed one of them; leaving the other completely ignored felt wrong.

Sitting down beside her, he boldly wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer.

Ji Yan didn’t protest and allowed him to do as he pleased, although the slight pout on her face made it seem like she was still silently complaining.

Seeing her like that was far too cute.

Gu Yuan leaned toward her ear and tried to placate her in a low voice.

”I chose Ji Yue for the Sect Master position because I knew it wasn’t your style to become one. So don’t be disappointed.”

”And who said I was?” Ji Yan snorted, turning her face slightly away.

”You really aren’t?”

As he asked, Gu Yuan lowered his head and lightly nipped at her ear.

”Kyaa-!”

A strange, short sound escaped Ji Yan.

”What are you doing?”

She tried to push him away, but there was almost no strength in her hands.

He didn’t point that out.

Instead, his lips simply continued their slow path, from her ear to her earlobe, then to her cheek before finally settling against her neck.

Under the gentle, persistent teasing, her body gradually softened against him. He quietly enjoyed every small reaction she gave.

Ji Yue merely raised an eyebrow at the sight before her.

Without saying anything, she moved to the side, took out a low table and another cultivation mat, and placed them in front of the two. She then sat down and took out a tea set, calmly preparing tea while the pair in front of her had completely forgotten she existed

Only after Ji Yue finished preparing the tea, with one cup placed in front of herself and another two set before Gu Yuan and Ji Yan, did she lightly knock on the table.

The sound finally drew their attention back to her.

”Well, I don’t mind if you want to go all the way,” Ji Yue said calmly, ”but if possible, let’s wait until we hold the official ceremony in the sect. After that, we can consummate our relationship.”

She lifted her teacup and took a small sip before adding, ”That way, I feel it will be more meaningful.”

Ji Yue’s words finally brought Gu Yuan completely back to his senses.

What was I doing?

He looked down at the redhead still half in his arms. Her robe had loosened during their earlier exchange, revealing a generous glimpse of the valley between her breasts, while a few faint pink marks already decorated the side of her neck.

He had clearly gotten carried away by the mood.

Gu Yuan quietly collected himself, picked up the tea Ji Yue had prepared, and took a sip before saying, ”Yes. Waiting until the official ceremony is probably the better choice.”

Despite saying that, he kept one arm firmly around Ji Yan’s waist, making no attempt to let her go.

And although Ji Yan was clearly embarrassed by what had just happened, she didn’t seem particularly interested in moving away either.

In any case, now that the twins had the entire Black Desolation Sect under their control, the official ceremony should probably be happening soon... right?

At least, that was what Gu Yuan thought.

Unfortunately, Ji Yue had some news for him that would make him reconsider that assumption.

”Unfortunately, the official ceremony will have to wait. We’re going away again.”
