Looking Forward to Another World

Holy lance.

It was a weapon said to have been wielded by King Arthur, Artoria Pendragon.

It was a lance renowned alongside the Holy Sword Excalibur, the anchor of the storm that fastened the planet together, known as Rhongomyniad.

Its true form was a tower of light, connecting the outer layer of the world to the planet—a pillar of light that shone with the brilliance of the planet and served as the final radiance, securing the very fabric of the world.

It was rumored that if this lance were ever drawn forth, the world built upon physical laws would peel and fall away, and the many phantasmal laws considered remnants of the past would return.

It was said that the holy lance contained overwhelming power, and once its true name was released, it would unleash a light that flashed to the end of the world.

If King Arthur’s holy sword was a sword of the planet, created within the Inner Sea of the Planet to save the world, then the holy lance was the anchor that held the world in place and maintained its existence.

It was known as ’The Lance That Shines to the End of the World’—Rhongomyniad.

It might not have been as famous as King Arthur’s Excalibur, but without a doubt, it was a miracle on par with it.

Even among the many Divine Constructs in myth and legend, none could rival this lance.

In some tales, this lance was even identified as the very spear of Longinus that pierced Jesus Christ, believed to be a god-slaying weapon capable of killing even the gods.

Morgan, as the highest-ranking fairy and a genius magus of Faerie Britain, had analyzed the structure and power of Rhongomyniad and ultimately reproduced its power through magecraft, making it possible to learn as a magecraft.

In the end, this became one of Morgan’s grand magecrafts among ’Mirror,’ ’Tower,’ ’Garden,’ and ’Coffin,’ known as ’Tower.’

Morgan had spent thousands of years constructing the ’Tower’ in her throne room, creating twelve Rhongomyniads.

After Riezel fulfilled the ’condition’ Morgan had set, he acquired this grand magecraft, ’Tower.’

In other words, Riezel had obtained the Holy Lance Rhongomyniad, recreated through magecraft.

At this moment, he drew forth the anchor of the holy lance.

*BOOM!*

A pillar of light shot up from the ground in front of the castle of white walls, piercing the sky.

It resembled a spear driven into the earth, and the instant it appeared, all mystery, fantasy, and chaos were frozen in place.

It was like a soaring tower, and with its presence, not only was the darkness dispersed, but even the storms were subdued.

It was the lance standing at the end of the world.

It was the stake that upheld the world’s surface.

Lance of the Storm, Lance of the End, Lance of Light, Lance of the Planet, Lance of the Last Light—these were all its names, its symbols, the forms in which the world beheld it.

Especially now, when it was Riezel who had drawn the holy lance—having Pioneer of the Sun that doubled the power of light and heat magic and was endowed with the divine protection of a great fairy—Rhongomyniad, which should have lost its original form and become mere power and shell when manifested as magecraft, miraculously restored all of its true nature, its true form.

As a result, the end of the world truly appeared.

Light illuminated the entire world that had been swallowed by black storms.

”No! This can’t be!”

Koyanskaya, in her Beast form, seemed to recognize the true nature of the light and let out a cry of panic never heard before.

”Holy lance?!”

”I-Is that... Rhongomyniad?!”

”How can?!”

Mash, Da Vinci, and Tristan all widened their eyes, their faces filled with unprecedented shock.

”Riezel...”

Even Artoria seemed to recall something, her face—identical to King Arthur in Proper Human History—showing astonishment never seen before.

Everyone present had seen Rhongomyniad.

Artoria, having experienced King Arthur’s memories, was naturally more familiar with this holy lance, which was equal in name to the holy sword, than anyone.

Mash and the others had also witnessed the power of the holy lance in both the Singularity and the Lostbelt, even having faced it directly in a Singularity where King Arthur was the final boss.

In other words, no one here could possibly mistake Rhongomyniad, could possibly mistake this holy lance.

Now, with Riezel drawing this lance before their very eyes, how could they not be shocked?

Of course, the one most stunned was Koyanskaya.

She had never imagined that coming here to see an old friend and test a new weapon, she would end up angered by some human who had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, forced to reveal her true nature, and then witness the anchor of the planet in the hands of that human.

However, she quickly realized something.

”Damn you, Morgan! You actually gave something like this to a human?!”

She simply could not believe that the cold-hearted witch would hand over her greatest trump card.

This was the holy lance!

The very holy lance capable of supporting the world!

Even though Morgan had reproduced the power of the holy lance in the form of magecraft and used it as a weapon, it was still her strongest attack, a killing move that even she had to be wary of!

Yet, that witch had just handed it over to a human so casually?

What was even more ridiculous, this human had even restored the true nature of the holy lance?

It was simply absurd!

”Damn it!”

Koyanskaya was both shocked and furious, unable to hide the panic in her voice, no matter what she did.

She wanted to rush forward, to stop Riezel, to stop the holy lance from being released, but the storm that controlled her tossed her around so wildly that she could barely even maintain her Beast form.

As a Beast, Koyanskaya had never been complete.

Her very existence was extremely unstable, and she had not yet truly become one of the Evils of Humanity.

For that reason, whenever she revealed her true nature, her true appearance would be hidden by the pitch-black storm, not because she wanted to hide, but because her form as a Beast was still unstable, making it impossible for her to appear on the surface.

Now, as the world that stabilized her incomplete form was gradually being replaced by the concept of the ends of the world, Koyanskaya’s shape grew even more unstable.

She could only watch helplessly as the holy lance was drawn out, unable to do anything.

As a pillar of light shot up into the sky, Riezel’s figure appeared beneath it, slowly floating upward into the air.

He raised one hand high, and in his hand rose the very light of the holy lance being drawn out, turning into a tower of light ascending from this world.

As he floated higher, the tower of light he lifted slowly began to change form.

Soon, the top of the tower became sharper, turning into a lance tip.

Spiraling streams of light wound around the tower, circling without pause.

Right after, the outer shell of the tower peeled away, revealing its true form in this black world where none could see.

In that moment, Koyanskaya felt only one thing—fear!

Unfortunately for her, this was just the beginning, as in the next moment...

”Rhongomyniad!”

Riezel, unleashing the holy lance’s true name, raised it high and aimed at the Beast of Cherishment hidden in the black storm.

In the next second, he unleashed the anchor of the planet in his hand.

*BOOOM!*

In an instant, dazzling light burst forth.

A torrent of pure light tore the world asunder, slicing through the black storm and sky alike, restoring the true world to the eyes of everyone present.

It was as if a planet was being formed as sky and earth were split apart.

Wherever the pillar of light passed—whether darkness, storm, or even this world corrupted by darkness—everything was cut apart without exception.

Amid this, the six-tailed fox could no longer hide in the black storm.

*ROOOAAAAAARRR—!!!*

Barely supporting her wavering beast body, Koyanskaya let out a furious, unwilling roar at the light that marked the end of the world.

However, the roar that once could shake human history, shake the world, and shake the very stars now had no power left.

As a result, the light swallowed the Beast.

As a result, the holy lance pierced through the Evil of Humanity.

As a result, the black world was split open by the tip of the holy lance, bringing the land of Faerie Britain back to this place once more.

Yet the brilliance of the holy lance continued to race forward—even after swallowing the Beast, piercing through the six-tailed fox, its momentum did not slow as it flew toward the distant horizon.

At this moment, almost every fairy in Faerie Britain saw that divine light.

Even the witch sitting on the throne opened her eyes, slowly rose, and walked to the wall facing outward, looking through the great opening before her, gazing to the far side of the sky.

Over there, the holy lance’s light soared up to the clouds, refusing to fade for a long time.

Morgan gazed at the scene in silence for a long while.

If one looked closely, on the very spot where Morgan stood—facing the great opening—there were spears lined up along the palace wall.

When the holy lance’s light shot straight into the sky, those spears also glimmered with waves of light—their color and aura were exactly the same as the light piercing the sky.

After a while, Morgan’s low whisper finally echoed.

”So, rather than turning it into a weapon, you released it directly from your hand like a Noble Phantasm?”

”Rhongomyniad... this holy lance really can only reveal its true form in your hand.”

”As expected of you...”

Leaving these words behind, Morgan turned and walked back to her throne.

What she was truly thinking in her heart, perhaps only she herself knew.

===

Faerie Britain, Southern Region, at the edge of the Nameless Forest.

At this moment, the raging storms and brilliant light that had once swept through this place had vanished without a trace.

The pitch-black giant Beast was gone.

The ever-present malice had disappeared as well.

Even the enemy’s shadow could no longer be seen.

Only a battlefield, ravaged and full of craters, remained—a testament to the reality of the battle that had just taken place.

”Riezel!”

Having left the castle of white walls, Artoria suddenly let out a startled cry and rushed forward.

It was only natural because at this moment, Riezel, whose light was slowly fading from his hand, fell from midair.

”Mr. Riezel!”

Mash, who was a beat slower in canceling her Noble Phantasm, also cried out in alarm.

”Tristan! Take him!”

Da Vinci reacted the fastest, immediately passing Ritsuka, whom she had been holding, to Tristan, then swung her backpack off, causing several mechanical arms to shoot out.

Yet, no matter how fast they moved, they could not compare to a certain king of fairies who had hidden as soon as the battle started and had been observing everything from the shadows.

*Whoosh!*

Oberon jumped down from Blanca’s back, returned to his original size, and caught the falling Riezel, gently placing him on the ground.

”Riezel!”

Only then did Artoria run over, arrive in front of Riezel, and embrace him.

Mash and the others also hurried over, gathering around Riezel.

However, Riezel could see none of this because he had already lost consciousness and fallen into a deep sleep.

”W-What happened to him?”

Artoria could not hide her worry and even reached for her Staff of Selection, as if preparing to use magecraft on Riezel.

”Don’t worry, he’s fine.”

Oberon quickly stopped Artoria.

”Let me take a look.”

Da Vinci also did not let Artoria act rashly.

Controlling the mechanical arms, Da Vinci lifted Riezel in front of her, then pulled out all sorts of instruments and began examining him on the spot.

Before long, Da Vinci came to a conclusion.

”He’s just exhausted...” Da Vinci said with a relieved expression. ”His magical energy is nearly depleted, his mind is close to collapse, and his body has endured an incredible amount of power, so he’s injured all over. In short, this is a typical case of extreme exhaustion.”

Riezel’s injuries were not just from Koyanskaya’s attacks, but also from unleashing too much power, which had torn his muscles.

It was easy to understand that his mind was exhausted and his magical energy spent. After all, he had released Rhongomyniad, summoned the Tower of the Ends of the World, and accomplished such a miracle.

If he still had strength left after that, that would be absurd.

Even so...

”Aside from that, there’s nothing else wrong with him...”

Da Vinci could not help but speak in admiration.

”It’s truly unbelievable... To have recreated a miracle from the Age of Gods in a human body and only pay this price—it’s simply astounding!”

After all, Riezel had not used Rhongomyniad itself, but rather a magecraft capable of reproducing Rhongomyniad’s power, which was essentially the same as creating mythology with his own strength!

Just imagine—using magecraft to wield the power of a mythical relic, could that be simple?

Certainly not!

Otherwise, Morgan would not have turned the ’Tower’ into a mystic code, kept it armed in the palace, and used this grand magecraft only on special occasions.

Even so, Morgan, who could reproduce the power of Rhongomyniad in the form of magecraft directly without external help, was already considered a genius who had reached the level of the gods.

Riezel was only able to use this magecraft because he obtained Morgan’s ’Tower,’ yet he managed to unleash Rhongomyniad’s true power on his own and even restored its nature, causing the end of the world to descend.

If that was not something astonishing, then nothing in this world could be called astonishing.

”So... you’re saying there’s nothing seriously wrong with him now?”

Artoria cared for nothing else, focusing only on Riezel’s well-being.

”Yes, pretty much.” Da Vinci nodded. ”While his injuries aren’t exactly light, they can be treated. As for his exhausted mind and magical energy, just let him recover on his own. If he rests for two or three days, he should be fine.”

Her words made not only Artoria but even Mash breathe a sigh of relief.

”In that case, what are we waiting for?” Oberon snapped his fingers, giving a belated suggestion. ”Let’s get out of here first and find a place for him to rest.”

Hearing this, everyone stopped worrying and nodded in agreement.

With that, the group quickly left the area and disappeared without a trace.
