Chapter 97: Chapter 93: Celestial Star Arrow Gallery

Pulling his thoughts back, the Celestial Star Arrow Gallery was 10 by 50 meters.

So... Qin Ziwen decided to first move the tavern to the upper-right corner of the newly expanded area, then use the Building Card, Celestial Star Arrow Gallery, on the empty space he had cleared.

With the genius idea he’d just had, Qin Ziwen wasn’t in such a hurry to rearrange the other buildings.

After all, each building had a one-month cooldown.

The priority was to make enough space for the Celestial Star Arrow Gallery.

As he activated the Card, it shattered in his hand, transforming into a brilliant white light that flooded the area before him.

When the light faded, an antique-style building appeared before his eyes.

It had green bricks, black tiles, and flying, upturned eaves.

The vermilion main doors were shut tight. On the door plaque were two large words—Celestial Star.

”Advanced Buildings really are on another level,” Qin Ziwen sighed in admiration.

Compared to an Advanced Building, the ordinary ones looked so shabby.

He pushed open the main doors, and a long, empty corridor came into view.

To the left of the entrance was a row of bow racks, holding a total of five Bows arranged from left to right.

At the far end of the long corridor, straw-man targets stood in place.

Du Yu glanced around and said, ”My lord, I don’t know why, but ever since I came in here, I’ve had the urge to try it out.”

Qin Ziwen nodded. ”Same here.”

Qin Ziwen used Insight.

[Level 1 Celestial Star Arrow Gallery: Level 2 Bow Skill Boost, Level 2 Stamina Recovery, Level 1 Stabilize Heart and Calm Spirit] (Special Effect: Arrows are generated infinitely, but cannot be taken out of the Arrow Gallery)

After seeing the effects of the Celestial Star Arrow Gallery, Qin Ziwen finally understood the difference between an ordinary building and an Advanced Building.

It had three attributes at just Level 1, and two of them were even Level 2.

On top of that, it had a special effect that generated infinite Arrows.

’So according to the Home’s evaluation standards, those boosts don’t even count as special effects, just basic abilities. Only something that can create things from nothing, conjuring them out of thin air, qualifies.’

Qin Ziwen said, ”This place is great. From now on, we can all come here to practice archery in our free time.”

Throughout history, archers have always been a minority.

’In the future, everyone in my Home can practice here in their spare time. The Arrows are infinite, and it even restores stamina. Great archers are made through sheer volume of arrows, just like with marksmanship—the more bullets you fire, the better your aim gets.’

’But what does this Bow Skill boost do? It must be limited to within the building, right? Like getting a temporary buff?’

But Qin Ziwen quickly found out.

He took a Bow and a Quiver from a nearby rack.

He hung the Quiver on his hip and drew an Arrow from it.

The Arrow had a bamboo shaft and an iron head. The arrowhead was a four-sided pyramid, and it had three fletchings. Its total length was about 80 centimeters.

He nocked the Arrow on the bowstring and tried to draw the Bow.

Unlike a Compound Bow, this kind of traditional bow required more effort to hold steady at full draw.

As he drew the Bow, he felt a divine-like assistance, as if an invisible hand was correcting his posture.

”Huh? My lord, your posture...” Du Yu’s eyes lit up. Judging from the posture alone, his lord was definitely a master of Arrow Skill.

THWACK!

In an instant, the bamboo arrow crossed the forty-five-meter distance, accurately hitting the outer edge of the red bullseye on the straw target’s chest.

”Excellent Archery Skill!” Du Yu praised. To achieve such accuracy on the first try with a new bow, his lord’s Arrow Skill was truly impressive.

Qin Ziwen’s face flushed.

He knew full well that a moment ago, it was as if a god had taken the shot for him.

Normally, how could he possibly shoot so accurately from over forty paces away on his first try with an unfamiliar bow?

’Recalling it now, the posture my body had taken, that feeling...’

Qin Ziwen drew another arrow from the Quiver, took aim, and loosed it.

THWACK!

This arrow hit the bullseye dead center.

Qin Ziwen said, ”Du Yu, try it and you’ll see. This place really is great for archery practice.”

”Yes, my lord.”

Du Yu had been itching to try. After getting his lord’s permission, he took a Bow and a Quiver from the side.

After loosing a few arrows, Du Yu finally understood why his lord was able to shoot so accurately.

He took a deep breath, drew two arrows from the Quiver, and set them in a shooting stance.

The two consecutive arrows flew like a Two-Star Linked Bead, one after the other, accurately hitting just to the left and right of the bullseye.

Du Yu was overjoyed. In the past, while he could perform a Two-Star Linked Bead, he couldn’t guarantee the accuracy of the second arrow.

After all, the key to a Continuous Arrow shot was speed; if it was slow, it couldn’t be called a Two-Star Linked Bead.

But here, he felt his Arrow Skill had risen dramatically, and he was actually able to pull it off.

Qin Ziwen decided to go tell Li Tieshan and Qin Ziwu that they could also come practice archery in their free time. There weren’t many other recreational activities anyway, so practicing archery could be a way to relax.

Before leaving, he deliberately took a Quiver and a Longbow with him.

But the moment he stepped outside, his grip loosened, and the Quiver and Longbow vanished from his hands. Looking back, he saw the Longbow had reappeared on the bow rack.

’It seems this place is purely for archery practice. Nothing inside can be taken out.’

Qin Ziwu was the most excited after learning the purpose of the Celestial Star Arrow Gallery.

He could finally experience what it felt like to be an archery master!

Li Tieshan’s reaction, on the other hand, was lukewarm. He wasn’t very interested in archery, but he figured it was an acceptable way to relax in his free time.

Arriving at the Celestial Star Arrow Gallery, Qin Ziwu couldn’t wait to get started.

”You use this one.” Qin Ziwen picked out the lightest, weakest bow for him.

Qin Ziwu looked at the small ”errand boy” of a bow in his hand, then glanced at the bigger bows next to it. ”Brother, I think I can draw a heavy one.”

”Oh? Give it a try then,” Qin Ziwen said with a wry smile, handing him the bow he was holding.

Qin Ziwu took the Bow from his older brother. The moment he held it, a flicker of understanding appeared in his mind. ’This is how you’re supposed to hold a bow.’

He raised the Bow, assuming a standard grip, then took an arrow and nocked it on the string.

”Nngh...” Qin Ziwu’s face turned red with effort.

The bow in his hands trembled as he drew it back.

It was slow, but he managed to pull it back, bit by bit.

Seeing his stance, Du Yu silently moved a safe distance away.

He held his breath, focused his mind, and released the string.

THWACK!

The Arrow hit the straw man’s arm.

”Not bad, you hit it on your first try,” Qin Ziwen said, clapping encouragingly.

Qin Ziwu’s face was beet red. He silently handed the bow back to his brother. ”I was actually aiming for the target next to it...”

Qin Ziwen clapped him on the shoulder. ”Your back muscles provide the power, your lower body provides stability, and your core is the transfer point. You’ll get better with practice. It’s pretty good that you can draw a one-dan bow on your first try. You can barely manage this bow, but this is a practice range, not a battlefield. There’s no need to force yourself to use a high-draw-weight bow. What’s most important is to shoot more arrows and get a feel for it.”

Qin Ziwu nodded silently.

Li Tieshan picked up a one-dan bow and silently fired a few arrows off to the side. He let out a small sound of surprise. ’I can shoot this accurately too!’

After firing a few more arrows, Li Tieshan quietly returned the bow to its place and walked over to Du Yu. ”Du the Brave, the Precepts Saber you wanted is almost finished. If you have time, you can come with me to take a look.”

Du Yu readily agreed, ”Alright.”

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

A knock came from outside the living room.
