The Elven Cultivator

Eleanor’s decision was not made on a whim.

In recent years, as almost all of the Clan’s Warriors switched to cultivating the Eight Desolates Prison-Suppression Scripture, a huge, visible gap in the speed of power progression had opened up between Warriors and Casters.

With the same talent, a Warrior’s strength grew far faster than a Caster’s.

Take her and Romance, for example.

Even though she had started cultivating before Romance, he was now a Golden Tier Warrior whose strength ranked among the top in the entire Clan, while she remained stuck at Silver Peak, unable to break through the threshold.

What made her feel even more conflicted was that the Warriors in the Clan who were younger and had cultivated for far fewer years than she had were catching up at a dumbfounding speed.

Although she never showed it, she was inwardly filled with a sense of urgency.

’If I keep cultivating conventionally like this, it’s only a matter of time before I’m surpassed by more and more people.’

’The gap between me and Romance would only grow wider, too.’

For an Elf who had been called a ”genius” her whole life, this was undoubtedly very difficult to accept.

Eleanor had long wanted to make a change.

And Anton’s proposal had offered her a brand-new path.

Giving up her power to start from scratch certainly carried a great deal of risk.

But at the same time, it was also an opportunity to surpass herself and break through her shackles.

Eleanor decided to take the gamble.

After this, Anton tested Eleanor for a Spirit Root.

The results showed that she possessed Wood and Water Dual Spirit Roots.

While not comparable to Anton’s top-tier aptitude of possessing all Five Elements, in the Cultivation Realm, Dual Spirit Roots were already considered quite outstanding, far above most Cultivators.

Anton then carefully selected a Cultivation Technique from the Taoist Jade Scroll called the *Cyan Emperor’s Profound Celestial Record* to serve as the foundation for Eleanor’s cultivation.

The *Cyan Emperor’s Profound Celestial Record* was founded on the ancient Wood Dao, taking from the principle that ”Wood governs life force, and life force pushed to its extreme becomes killing intent.”

When cultivated to a profound level, a single thought could make ten thousand trees bow in submission.

With a single incantation, life force would reverse into deadly intent, and flowers, grass, and trees could all transform into life-reaping blades.

After forming a Golden Core, one could even merge water and wood to coalesce an incarnation of the Cyan Emperor, wielding unfathomable might over life, death, and slaughter.

Strictly speaking, this Cultivation Technique shared many conceptual similarities with the Great Derivation Cyan Profound Array.

This was also an important reason why Anton chose this Cultivation Technique for Eleanor.

Although the Mountain Protection Array could operate automatically to defend against external enemies, if someone could preside over the array and guide its killing power at a critical moment, its upper limit would be far higher than if it were left uncontrolled.

In the future, when Anton was not in the Silver Moon Forest, Eleanor could take on the responsibility of controlling the Mountain Protection Array if an invasion were to occur.

And cultivating the *Cyan Emperor’s Profound Celestial Record* would help her more deeply understand the operational logic of the Great Derivation Cyan Profound Array, allowing her to command the Array with greater ease.

All in all, although the *Cyan Emperor’s Profound Celestial Record* was not as all-encompassing or inclusive of all Five Elements as the *Taichu Hiding Skill* that Anton cultivated, it could still be considered a first-rate Cultivation Technique inheritance.

Moreover, Eleanor was much luckier than Anton in one regard.

When the latter began cultivating, forget Nourishing Yuan Pills; he didn’t even have the most basic Spirit Gathering Talisman. He had to rely entirely on slow, grinding effort to accumulate Spiritual Qi bit by bit.

But Eleanor now not only had an ample supply of Nourishing Yuan Pills but also the support of a Spirit Gathering Array. Her cultivation speed would by no means be slow.

Eleanor’s matter was just a small interlude.

Anton’s energy was still mostly focused on teaching his classes and the preparatory work for the Mountain Protection Array.

After more than two years of instruction, the Enchanters could now barely draw acceptable runes.

So, Anton began assigning tasks, sending them to disperse throughout the Silver Moon Forest. They were to use Earth Travel Talismans to go underground and draw the array runes on the roots of the Eternal Tree.

At first, all sorts of problems emerged one after another.

Fortunately, after getting through the initial chaotic adjustment period, the Enchanters’ drawing efficiency gradually improved.

Anton was also finally able to free himself up to focus his main energy on two more important matters.

First was drawing the runes for the core region.

Second was refining the array flags and Array Discs.

Besides using the Eternal Tree and the Spring of Life as its primary and secondary Array Hubs, the Great Derivation Cyan Profound Array also required a large number of array flags and Array Discs to be placed throughout the forest. These would act as the Array’s auxiliary nodes, used to guide the flow of energy, balance the qi of the Five Elements, and coordinate the connections between the Array’s various sections.

This, too, was a massive workload.

Anton threw himself into this twofold task, almost never leaving his home.

Two years passed quietly.

「Chenxi Calendar, Year 9355, Summer」

Anton broke through to the Eighth-Layer Foundation Establishment.

In the same year, all the runes for the Great Derivation Cyan Profound Array were also completely drawn.

Millions of runes, like countless fine, silver blood vessels, spread throughout the root network of the Eternal Tree, turning it into the core of a gigantic Array.

Next was the placement of the Array Discs and array flags.

Anton spent over a month burying the array flags one by one in their predetermined positions underground throughout the forest, and all the Array Discs were placed at their respective key nodes.

Viewed from high above, these nodes linked together like a giant, invisible net that enveloped the entire Silver Moon Forest.

Once the Enchanters were freed from the task of drawing runes, Anton did not let them remain idle.

He quickly arranged a new task for them: refining Rune Equipment.

After nearly five years of study and practice, these Enchanters had preliminarily mastered the basic techniques of drawing Runes. They could now cooperate with the Alchemists to jointly complete the refining of Rune Equipment.

This had also been one of Anton’s original goals for starting the classes.

He planned to take this opportunity to solve the Rune Equipment issue as well.

As his Cultivation Level increased, he would have more and more to do in the future, so this foundational work would inevitably have to be gradually handed over to others.

Of course, the efficiency, success rate, and final product quality of the Rune Equipment refined by his clansmen would be far inferior to what he could produce personally.

But fortunately, the Forest Guard had already essentially achieved its goal of outfitting every member with Rune Equipment, so the demand for it had dropped sharply.

After the clansmen took over, although the production volume of Rune Equipment decreased significantly, it was still enough to cover daily attrition and replenishment for the time being.

As for efficiency and quality, those could be slowly improved in the future.

Once the Array Discs and array flags were in place, the main construction of the Great Derivation Cyan Profound Array was essentially complete.

What remained was to conduct a final, comprehensive inspection of the Array, make minor local adjustments, and refine a crucial item—the Golden Seal.

This ”Golden Seal” was the control hub of the Array.

To use an analogy with terms from the Dawn Continent, it could be understood as the Array’s ”master control key” or ”core authorization credential.”

The one who held the Golden Seal could freely activate, deactivate, and control the entire great Array.

Of course, on the Dawn Continent, Anton was currently the only person who could control the Great Derivation Cyan Profound Array.

Even if others obtained the Golden Seal, they wouldn’t be able to establish a connection with it without Spiritual Qi to refine it, let alone use it.
