True Martial World

A hundred years was sufficient to incur numerous changes to mortal cities, but to the Heaven Fey City, it was like a finger snap—even the city walls remained untainted despite all this time.

Everything looked identical to the moment before Yi Yun entered seclusion.

However, having cultivated to his present stage, Yi Yun was just too strong. His nomological insights were equal to the Heavenly Dao and he could acutely sense every change in the city.

Yi Yun noticed that the nomological patterns engraved in the city were different from a century ago.

The Heaven Fey City’s worldly array had been modified!

The Heaven Fey City had been established for billions of years. Its worldly array had existed equally long. For such an ancient and powerful array formation, any minor change had to be a result of something of great importance.

“If I didn’t guess wrong, the Ancestor God has already come to Heaven Fey City. He left something in the Heaven Fey City’s main array…” Yi Yun said to Bai Yueyin in his soul sea.

The people in control of Heaven Fey City’s main array were the two Fey Patriarchs, and this control was symbol as having the highest authority in Heaven Fey City.

And for the Ancestor God to enter Heaven Fey City, the most direct method was to leave a mark of his own in the array. That way, the Heaven Fey City’s array formation would be under his command.

“The Ancestor God’s strength has already become this strong? To make the two Fey Patriarchs endure this in silence…” Bai Yueyin’s heart turned heavy.

Yi Yun said, “The Heaven Fey City is important to the ancient Heaven Fey, but if… the Ancestor God clearly threatens the survival of the entire ancient Heaven Fey race, the two Fey Patriarchs can only bow.”

If the Ancestor God was powerful enough to easily kill the two Fey Patriarchs and kill a Fey Thearch with a mere thought, what would happen to the ancient Heaven Fey?

In a very short period of time, the Ancestor God would be able to wipe out all the upper echelons of the ancient Heaven Fey. Heaven Fey City would then come under Celestial control without any leadership. They would be akin to a piece of meat to the Celestials, one that could be eaten at any time.

And once the Celestials was sick with it, draining the ancient Heaven Fey dry, they could abandon them without thought. The remaining factions in the Chaos Heavens would then split the ancient Heaven Fey like hyenas. Having lost their race’s upper echelons, the ancient Heaven Fey would be completely vulnerable.

There was only one outcome left for them—annihilation.

Compared to being annihilated, handing over some control of Heaven Fey City to the Ancestor God was nothing.

Therefore, strength was supreme in the Chaos Heavens. One could do anything with strength.

“Yi Yun, if the Heaven Fey City is under Celestial control, there’s likely a trap awaiting you,” Bai Yueyin said via a voice transmission.

Yi Yun also guessed of this possibility. However, he had sworn on the Heavenly Dao through a contract with the ancient Heaven Fey. He had to deliver the Myriad Form Shura Pills to the ancient Heaven Fey, or he would suffer damage to his Dao heart.

But this matter did not daunt Yi Yun. He still had many means of delivering the Myriad Form Shura Pills to the ancient Heaven Fey. For instance, he could disguise himself, enter the biggest security company, and commission them to deliver it into the Ruins Emperor Palace at high cost. No matter how resourceful and powerful the Celestials were, there was no way they could find him.

As Yi Yun was considering his options, he chanced upon a notice on the Heaven Fey City’s walls.

The notice looked somewhat aged and its content roughly depicted an incident—

As the ancient Heaven Fey’s Blood King had betrayed the race, Punishment of Extreme Hell had been meted out on him. He is currently serving his punishment.

The notice was dated fifteen years ago.

For a notice to be left there for fifteen years, it was obvious that it was displayed for others to see, or in other words, for Yi Yun.

Punishment of Extreme Hell!

What kind of punishment was that?

Yi Yun’s heart sank. His relationship with the Blood King wasn’t considered close, but he was Jiang Xiaorou’s father and also one of the most important people in Jiang Xiaorou’s life.

As for Jiang Xiaorou, she was one of the most important people to Yi Yun.

If Jiang Xiaorou were to learn that the Blood King was suffering the Punishment of Extreme Hell, how would she feel?

Ignorance is bliss, but now that Yi Yun learned of the news, he could no longer sit idle, nor could he keep it from Jiang Xiaorou.

When Yi Yun sent a voice transmission into the Ascending Dragon Cauldron, Jiang Xiaorou’s face turned pale upon learning the news.

The outcome of the Punishment of Extreme Hell was uncertain.

If one was punished for months, it would just be a painful torture.

But if the punishment lasted years, or more than a decade, it would be one of the worst death punishments. It was one of the most extreme punishments of the ancient Heaven Fey.

And now, this notice was from fifteen years ago. Didn’t it mean that the Blood King’s Punishment of Extreme Hell had begun fifteen years ago?

Fifteen years!

The notice had vaguely mentioned the Punishment of Extreme Hell without any mention of time. However, Jiang Xiaorou knew that the Punishment of Extreme Hell would last until her father’s vitality was completely worn out!

Ever since the Heaven Fey City was established, the Punishment of Extreme Hell was very seldomly used on their own Fey Thearchs. But because of her, her father had suffered this punishment.

What about her mother? What happened to her mother?

Instantly, Jiang Xiaorou’s heart palpitated. Her father was a Fey Thearch and capable of withstanding torture. However, her mother lacked the strength to suffer any heavy punishments.

Jiang Xiaorou was griped by anxiety, but she did not say what was on her mind. She also understood that all of this was caused by Yi Yun, but with his present strength, he was no match for the Ancestor God. To make Yi Yun rescue her parents would be akin to pushing him to the edge of a cliff.

“Sis Xiaorou, don’t worry. This matter might not be as bad as you imagine…”

Yi Yun projected an avatar into the Ascending Dragon Cauldron and appeared before Jiang Xiaorou.

“Yun’er, I do not know what to do” Jiang Xiaorou did not wish for Yi Yun to worry, but she could not stop her tears from flowing. She hated herself for being too weak. There was nothing she could do.

Yi Yun said, “Although I haven’t had much interactions with the Ancestor God, I can sense that he’s a cold person who thinks little of life. He wishes to have the universe in his grasp and is very ambitious. Such a person does deserve being called god.

“With the Ancestor God’s status and strength, I find it hard to believe that he will torture and imprison someone who’s not very related to me to force my appearance. As he stands at such a lofty position, you can say that he disdains pulling such petty tricks. You can also say that he projects his coldness onto others. Regardless, do you think that if someone was enjoying the same status as I am, would they care about the Blood King?”

“Yun’er, do you mean…” Jiang Xiaorou was slightly taken aback. On careful thought, Yi Yun’s position was indeed sufficiently high. To others, Fey Thearchs were impressive figures, but they were not necessarily so to Yi Yun.

At Yi Yun’s level—ignoring the Ancestor God—even the two patriarchs of Heaven Fey City would not be easily threatened by one or two lives. What’s more, these lives did not have much of a relationship with them.

Yi Yun said, “I feel that the person who targeted Blood King is someone else!”

Previously, the Taiyue Nation’s royalty had mentioned that the Ancestor God was plotting something major. Under such circumstances, would he have the time or effort to handle such trivialities?
