Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2102: Chapter 2102: Argue on the Merits

Anyway, in her heart, not a single person had treated her right. They all intentionally put obstacles in her path, intentionally not wanting her to soar high and become a part of Wulong Mountain.

She wanted to go out, not to be locked up in the Ancestral Shrine.

But the disciples outside were constantly watching her, denying her any chance to leave. Neither cursing nor threatening them worked; she had exhausted all her methods, yet she couldn’t get out.

“If you let me in, I will bring some ice for the Third Miss. It’s too hot today, the heat could get to her.”

Suddenly, a voice came from outside—one that Xue Manyu was very familiar with. It was her maid, Wang Hua’er. In an instant, her spirits were lifted.

“Hua’er, is that you? Come in, come in quickly!”

She shouted towards the outside of the Ancestral Shrine, wanting Wang Hua’er to hurry in.

Apart from the ancestral tablets, there was nothing else inside this Ancestral Shrine. She was hungry, thirsty, and hot. Wang Hua’er coming to bring ice was truly hitting the spot.

However, on the outside, it wasn’t so easy for Wang Hua’er to just walk in. The disciples blocked her way, not giving her any opportunity.

“The Sect Master has ordered that nothing is to be given to the Third Miss!”

The disciple said sternly, giving Wang Hua’er’s basin a cold glance. It was filled to the brim with ice.

Honestly, they were hot too. It was the middle of the day, the time to rest, yet they had to guard the Ancestral Shrine, preventing the Third Miss from leaving. What have they done to deserve this?

Thankfully, all they had to do was guard for one day. By nightfall, the Third Miss, Xue Manyu, would be sent to Reflection Cliff.

“The Sect Master only ordered not to send food to the Third Miss. He didn’t say ice wasn’t allowed. If the Third Miss really suffers from the heat, you won’t be able to explain it to the Sect Master.”

Wang Hua’er argued with reason, a look of urgency on her face.

“The Third Miss really can’t stand the heat, you all know that. Please, I beg you, let me in to deliver some ice.” As she spoke, she pulled out a Small Purse, trying to stuff it into the hands of the two disciples.

“It’s so hot, this bit of money is for you two brothers to buy some tea and snacks.”

If it were any ordinary day, others would be the ones trying to curry favor with her. She wouldn’t need to spend money to ingratiate herself. How the tables have turned after thirty years.

Now it was her turn to beg others for a backdoor favor.

Before, she had thought about sneaking over while the disciples were asleep to get into the Ancestral Shrine.

But these disciples seemed as if they didn’t need rest, always standing immobile, leaving her without even the slightest opportunity. Now, she had thought up the excuse of delivering ice for the Third Miss.

The two disciples naturally wouldn’t accept the money Wang Hua’er offered. If the Sect Master found out, they would surely be in big trouble.

However, not accepting the money was one thing, but it was true that the Third Miss detested heat. The Ancestral Shrine, being shut up tight, was indeed very stifling. They couldn’t really let the Third Miss be harmed by the confinement, could they?

The two disciples exchanged glances, then turned their eyes to the basin of ice in Wang Hua’er’s hands.

“Deliver the ice and get out, don’t dawdle,” said one of the disciples.

“Okay, thank you both so much, brothers.”

Wang Hua’er saw them relent and was immediately overjoyed, hastily making her way into the Ancestral Shrine.

“Miss, are you alright?”

“You finally came. Give it to me.”

Xue Manyu saw Wang Hua’er enter the Ancestral Shrine and reached out her hand toward her.
