Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2040: Chapter 2040: It’s Really Not Good Without Sunshine

“Enough, thinking more about it is pointless; I should just deliver the items first.”

With that, he turned around to find Sect Master Leng, knowing that there were only a few days left. As a father, he naturally wanted to spend more time with his son.

After all, once he left with his sister-in-law, there was no telling when he would return to the Eternal Night Plane.

His treatment within the Eternal Night Sect was fairly good; he could go anywhere, all because he relied on the influence of his sister-in-law. Thus, he arrived at Sect Master Leng’s stone house without any obstacles.

Just as he was about to enter, he caught sight of a furtive figure in a state of disarray.

“Who is that? Right, Lady Leng with an amputated arm.”

He remembered her, the one who almost got killed by the Stone People’s array formation; she had only saved her life by losing an arm.

What was she doing here? At this time, shouldn’t she be resting in her room, nursing her injuries? After all, losing an arm was no trivial matter.

But this was none of his business; he had to deliver the medicinal pills that his older brother gave him into the hands of Leng Yikun.

“Lady Leng, are you looking for Sect Master Leng? Let me call him for you.”

Passing by Lady Leng, he nodded politely to her, continued on past her, and strode towards the stone house.

In his hurry to finish his task, he did not notice the fleeting sinister look in Lady Leng’s eyes—still thinking that if Lady Leng wanted to find Sect Master Leng, he could at least help her call out.

In her eyes, Yuu Rong had already been lumped in with Nichen’s faction. She even believed that without the interference of Yuu Rong and the others, Nichen would have been killed long ago by the Fourth Elder she had sent away. How could he have made such a fuss in the Eternal Night Sect then?

Now, her Yi Kun was still alive. He should have securely been the Young Sect Master, yet because of Yuu Rong and the two others, he now had to compete with a bastard child!

Coincidentally, this wretch came along, so she decided to let him be the first to taste her poison. Once he died mysteriously and everyone was thrown into a panic, it would be the perfect time for her to strike at the others.

Even the bastard Nichen, she would not let go—one by one, none would be spared.

Thus, with her only remaining hand, Lady Leng deftly sprinkled some medicinal powder onto Yuu Rong without his knowledge.

“Achoo!”

Yuu Rong felt an itch in his nose and couldn’t help but sneeze, then rubbed the tip of his nose with his hand.

“This place really isn’t good without sunlight, feeling uncomfortable all over. Seems like I really need to leave soon.”

He mumbled to himself, then continued walking towards the stone chamber, utterly unaware of Lady Leng’s astonished gaze fixated on his back.

“How is that possible?”

She knew her own poison too well. Once administered, the effect should be immediate; how could it be that there was no reaction at all, and he could still continue walking forward?

“Is this medicine fake?”

She held the porcelain bottle in her hand, examining it closely in front of her eyes.

This porcelain bottle was what she used to carry her poison; it couldn’t be mistaken—she had even used this poison to kill many disobedient disciples of the Eternal Night Sect before.

“No, that’s not right; this is definitely my poison, there’s no mistake!”

She looked up again at Yuu Rong, who had already entered the stone chamber, unable to believe that her proudly lethal poison—believed to be insoluble by any pharmacist—was ineffective!
