Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 1820: Chapter 1820: Little Ungrateful

They continued on their journey, passing through two small deserts before finally arriving at the Death Desert, which took them half a month to reach.

At the outskirts of the Death Desert, sandstorms raged, blinding people with the flying sand.

Xie Qi wrapped his entire head in a blanket, leaving only his eyes exposed, and looked at Qian Jiyun and An Jiuyue ahead of him, who didn’t cover their heads at all and weren’t the least bothered by the sand.

He couldn’t help but be amazed.

“My Lords, should we cross this area on the back of Trike, or on our own feet?” he asked the two of them.

He doubted whether a demonic beast would be able to find its way through the Death Desert. If people could die here, what about demonic beasts?

“What else can we do? If not Trike, do you want to carry us?” An Jiuyue asked him softly.

“Er…”

Xie Qi was instantly at a loss for words.

If he could carry them, he would; if only he had that capacity.

“My Lady, what you’re suggesting is impossible—I am not a demonic beast. I can hardly carry both of you.” he said.

“If you can’t carry us, then don’t talk. Be careful not to get a mouthful of sand.” An Jiuyue warned.

Xie Qi: “…”

The two who left their heads bare didn’t swallow even a speck of sand, yet he, bundled up so securely, was supposed to get sand in his mouth? He didn’t believe it.

However, despite his disbelief, he was forced to acknowledge the truth.

As the triceratops ran, the blanket around Xie Qi’s head was almost blown away by the wind, and indeed, he got a mouthful of sand that incapacitated his ability to think.

“Puh, puh… Ptooey!”

He was in agony, his mouth full of sand and unable to speak, especially while riding on the back of Trike—it wasn’t decent to spit on its back.

Having traveled through so many planes, he had come to understand that Trike was no ordinary demonic beast; it had a sense of cleanliness.

If he dared to spit on its back, it would probably never let him ride again.

So, all he could do was spit into his own blanket.

And so continued his days, incomprehensibly enduring a near five-day trek across the Death Desert, which made him begin to wonder if Trike had lost its way.

But he dared not voice such a suspicion, knowing that Trike understood human speech.

Finally, when they emerged from the desert and Xie Qi jumped off Trike, he shook himself a couple of times and the sand fell from his body like torrential rain.

His entire face was no longer recognizable, and he felt like crying.

“Let’s find a town to rest for the night before we continue,” Qian Jiyun proposed.

So, the three of them decided to rest in a town for the night. Xie Qi really wanted to say he needed a few days of rest; the Death Desert was truly no place for humans.

Even Trike needed to rest, didn’t it?

…

In the inn, Qian Jiyun and An Jiuyue went to their own spaces to freshen up. When they came out, An Jiuyue held her Little Nuonuo, who had been well cared for.

“Such an ungrateful little thing,” she said, lightly tapping Little Nuonuo’s tender cheek and shaking her head.

Having been in the Death Desert for five days without entering her space, she made preparations for the Paper Person to take care of him, ensuring there was plenty of goat milk.

She had thought that after a few days without seeing her, Little Nuonuo would at least cry out for her.

But who would have thought that the little baby would just eat and sleep, practically oblivious to the fact that his mother hadn’t held him at all for days.
