Supreme Star Card Master

Chapter 2044: Chapter 1441: Return to the Realm (Part 2)

”In order to diminish the Cosmic Energy and remove hidden dangers, those solitary Emperor Level cultivators who do not belong to any force will in the end all become targets swept away under the great calamity!”

Upon hearing this, Master Cang Yuan and the members of the Dong You Alliance all fell into contemplation. In fact, the people of Dong You understood this principle even more clearly than the Green Emperor.

The Green Emperor was merely deducing based on the situation of the Heavenly Tribulation, whereas Dong You Realm, being the Big World closest to the Silver Universe, had already witnessed many similar situations with their own eyes.

As for solitary Emperor Levels and some Small Worlds that possessed Emperor Levels, the Silver Heaven Court had already wiped out an unknown number of them!

Above King Level, one either dies or submits to the Heavenly Court.

And submission to the Heavenly Court is not merely bowing one’s head and acknowledging a lord, accepting Temperance from others; one must also offer up a wisp of Divine Soul, handing one’s own life over to the control of the mysterious Jade Emperor.

Thus at this moment, for the people of the Dong You Alliance, there was almost only a single option left, and everyone knew this option in their hearts.

Only, if this option were to be raised by the Dong You people themselves, who were already ”driven to a dead end,” it would be far too disgraceful, and they would find it hard to demand anything further afterwards.

The Green Emperor naturally understood the thoughts of the Dong You crowd and did not quibble over such matters. He immediately cupped his hands, speaking earnestly:

”Since the Silver Universe seeks to dominate this Star Sky, it will naturally not spare my Blue Sea. You Fellow Daoists possess formidable Strength; if you have no better place to go, why not join my Blue Sea? In the future, we can join forces and fight the Silver Universe again. It is not certain that we cannot together overturn the Heavenly Court!”

Seeing the Green Emperor speak, Li Huo Master, Lu Zijing, and many others were quite moved, yet no one hurried to respond.

Master Cang Yuan said, ”Friend Ji has treated us with frankness; we will not beat around the bush either. This time, the reason we were able to battle the Silver Heaven Court for so long, and finally escape with our lives, was due in no small part to Friend Su’s great assistance.

Therefore, we feel gratitude and trust toward Friend Su, and toward Great Flame and Blue Sea as well.

On the basis of this trust, joining Blue Sea is indeed a good choice for us. However...”

Master Cang Yuan paused, with some difficulty showing on his face.

The Green Emperor’s expression remained unchanged as he said, ”However what? Friend Cang Yuan, speak freely.”

Master Cang Yuan shook his head with a sigh and said, ”We are people defeated beneath the Heavenly Tribulation. To be accepted by the Blue Sea people is already a blessing.

However, though defeated, though in disgrace, since this poor Daoist has been pushed forward, I must take responsibility for the more than thirty Fellow Daoists of our Dong You Alliance.

This poor Daoist boldly raises a few requests. If the Blue Sea Realm can agree to them, then the remaining people of the Dong You Alliance may merge into Blue Sea.”

The Green Emperor’s eyes lit up, and he immediately said, ”Friend Cang Yuan, speak plainly. If we can satisfy them, we will not be stingy.”

Master Cang Yuan nodded slightly and slowly said, ”First, if we merge into Blue Sea, the Blue Sea elders must not treat the Dong You people as outsiders.

Our Dong You has been destroyed by the Silver Universe; when we fight the Silver Universe again in the future, we will of course exert ourselves to the utmost. But the Blue Sea elders must not therefore treat us as cannon fodder, pushing us to the very front. We hope that in the great war we may be treated equally!”

The Green Emperor immediately said, ”Friend Cang Yuan, you think too much. Once you join Blue Sea, so long as you do nothing that betrays Blue Sea, we will naturally treat you as equals.

In wars to come, if any of you feels an order is excessive, you may question it on the spot!”

Master Cang Yuan nodded and continued, ”Second, we of the Dong You Alliance, more than thirty Emperor Levels—after joining the Blue Sea Realm, in the short term we may only need enough Hongmeng Purple Qi to supply basic Cultivation.

But if we truly can defeat the Heavenly Court and pass through the Heavenly Tribulation, then for long-term planning, we will likely need a territory we can govern autonomously, to take root and develop... I do not know whether the Blue Sea Realm can promise us such a territory?”

Only with land can one have a home; if they remain rootless like duckweed, how could the people of Dong You feel at ease in pledging themselves to Blue Sea?

More than thirty Emperor Levels in the Dong You Alliance require a territory that is quite significant; squeezing out such a tract of land would not be easy for an already mature Big World.

After all, generally speaking, no great power is willing to cede its own territory.

Only...

The Green Emperor laughed and said, ”If it were another Big World, this truly might be a difficult matter. But my Blue Sea Realm has four Continents—east, south, west, and north—and at present... there are still two Continents in an ’empty’ state without any Emperor Levels.”

”Two empty Continents?!”

Hearing this, the people of Dong You were greatly astonished. For a Big World to have two whole landmasses lying empty?

Not to mention Continents—in Dong You Realm, even a single unclaimed region would immediately be occupied by various super and First-class forces.

Land is itself resource—human talent, and Cultivation resources!

The Green Emperor laughed and said, ”Because in recent years, we have purged some internal hidden dangers.”

The Dong You crowd felt a chill in their hearts. What hidden dangers were purged that actually left two Continents empty?

Naturally, the people of Dong You had no way of knowing about the Grey Realm calamity and the Bodhi disaster within the Blue Sea Realm; their understanding of Blue Sea was limited to ’a newly matured Big World’, ’a surprise strike from Central Continent that destroyed Cangding’, and ’that astonishing Su Yuan from Great Flame’!

They did not know the specifics of the situation within the Blue Sea Realm.

The Green Emperor pondered and said, ”The Western Continent was originally the seat of the Bodhi Sect. It has not only land but people: a land of outstanding men and spirits, with rich Star Veins. If you intend to develop in the future, that Continent is by far the most suitable.”

”The Bodhi Sect?”

Master Cang Yuan and the others’ eyes flickered. Speaking of which, with the Silver Universe’s descent this time, they seemed not to have seen any trace of the Bodhi Sect Masters.

Though the Bodhi Sect had always been mysterious and reclusive, it had joined the Dong You Alliance previously, yet in these past few years it had gradually faded from view.

Judging from the timing, it seemed to be right after Cangding’s destruction. They had been so busy coping with the Silver Heaven Court that they had not even noticed?

But this was not the time to dwell on that. Master Cang Yuan quickly asked, ”To hand the Western Continent over to us—Friend Ji, are these words true?”

Ji Qingyun nodded with a smile and said, ”Of course. We must give you Fellow Daoists a place to put down roots!”

Master Cang Yuan took a deep breath and asked again, ”Since this concerns the interests of so many Fellow Daoists, forgive this poor Daoist for asking once more: for a matter this great, can Friend Ji truly make the decision?”

”By myself, I naturally cannot decide. My Great Flame is only one part of Blue Sea. This is a matter of the entire Realm, and in detail must still be discussed with the other forces within the Realm. However...”

Ji Qingyun paused, then stepped half a pace aside with a smile, looking toward Su Yuan and saying, ”However, my Great Flame has the Yu Huang. With Lord Yu Huang taking the lead, this matter should not be a problem.”

The gazes of the Dong You crowd involuntarily fell upon Su Yuan. From Ji Qingyun’s words, it seemed that Friend Su possessed an extraordinary prestige within the Blue Sea Realm.

As they sighed inwardly, they all nodded in deep agreement.

After all, the reason they were able to hold this conversation at this moment was precisely because of this Friend Su.

Master Cang Yuan cupped his fists and said, ”In that case, we must trouble you Great Flame Fellow Daoists! If this matter can be accomplished, the more than thirty members of our Dong You Alliance will sincerely merge into Blue Sea.”

The people of Dong You all cupped their hands.

As for Purple Mist Fairy of Cangding, the Silver Dragon, and the handful of others, though they did not raise their hands in salute, they also said nothing.

The Green Emperor smiled and said, ”Rest assured, all of you.”

In truth, even without Su Yuan, Ji Qingyun had seventy to eighty percent confidence that he could persuade the various parties in Blue Sea.

Within the Jade Talisman Su Yuan had sent earlier, the might of the Silver Heaven Court had been displayed vividly.

Even before that mysterious Jade Emperor had appeared, the Silver Heaven Court had already destroyed Dong You almost as if breaking rotten twigs—its Strength was likely more than a full tier above Cangding Realm!

So long as that Jade Talisman was distributed to all forces, the parties would naturally discern the pros and cons, the priorities and urgencies.

To exchange ”empty” landmasses for mature battle Strength to resist the Silver Universe was clearly the best choice at present.

What Blue Sea would lose was no more than the Hongmeng Purple Qi that the Western Continent would produce in the future.

But for now, they had just obtained a large quantity of Hongmeng Purple Qi from Cangding Realm, so their demand for Hongmeng Purple Qi was not yet so pressing.

Moreover, if they could not pass the Silver Universe threshold, then there was no need to think about matters of the future!

After the two sides exchanged a few more words, the Green Emperor said, ”Regarding you all and the situation of Dong You Realm, we will confer with the various parties as soon as possible, and at that time, we ask that you join the discussions.

During this period, you may send several representatives to accompany us in inspecting various parts of Blue Sea and the West Continent.”

After Master Cang Yuan exchanged glances with the other people of Dong You, they all wore pleased expressions and said, ”Good!”

A short while later, the Spirit Emperor led the members of the Dong You Alliance to first go and settle themselves within the Small Secret Realm.

Su Yuan then called out to the Green Emperor: ”Green Emperor, besides the people of the Dong You Alliance this time, there is yet another matter...”

With a flip of Su Yuan’s hand, a length of Jade Flute had already fallen into his palm. Upon the originally ordinary cyan Jade Flute, there now seemed to be autumn water flowing, emanating faint strands of astonishing Sword Intent!

Seeing this, both the Green Emperor and Red Emperor’s eyes brightened. ”It seems the Yu Huang has also found the Sword Emperor...”
