Supreme Star Card Master

Time passed, and the battle against the tide of sea beasts gradually stabilized.

Although at first, due to the overwhelming number of sea beasts, the powerful pressure and impact left the students somewhat overwhelmed, the formation was disrupted, and there were significant casualties.

But at this moment, the powerful individual strengths of the elites from various academies and their abilities to continuously learn, think, and adapt during battles were showcased!

Facing the broken formation, numerous Gold Level team captains decisively unleashed their full power, prioritizing the killing of several Gold Level sea beasts that served as the vanguard.

The team captains communicated in time, with some teams holding back the sea beasts’ impact while others swiftly cleared the sea beasts that had rushed into the students’ formation, quickly stabilizing the situation and establishing a defensive line.

After that, the academy students retreated strategically, taking advantage of the sea beasts’ slow movement after landing, exhausting more and more sea beasts, resulting in decreasing casualties.

The small teams, large squads, and even the different academies began to spontaneously cover each other and coordinate, advancing and retreating together under the immense pressure brought by the tide of sea beasts.

In the distance, Yu Hui and others observed the situation. “Not bad, intense pressure indeed brings out the best in people.”

Teacher Yao nodded. “If this continues, the sea beasts will be completely eradicated before the students are exhausted. The situation is even better than expected.”

Teacher Zhang from Qing Province was still relatively young, seemingly having just taken the post. He sighed, “But the losses are still considerable. Especially at the beginning of the battle, several students died.

These were elite students whom the academy has cultivated for years, pouring in a lot of resources. Alas!”

Yu Hui and Teacher Yao exchanged a glance and said no more.

Teacher Yao looked into the distance at the Frost Giant Dragon and the figure above, then said, “Teacher Yu, this student of yours will likely become famous after this battle. I can hardly imagine how many battle merits he has obtained by now…”

While Teacher Yao was still speaking, Su Yuan in the distance swung his blade and killed another Gold Level sea beast.

“Tsk tsk, even the last Gold Master Sea Beast was slain by him… Your Demon Capital Academy really has a great talent!”

“Not too bad, not too bad, Teacher Yao overpraises.” Yu Hui maintained a steady expression with a faint smile.

Although Yu Hui had only met Su Yuan the previous day, he acted as if he knew Su Yuan quite well.

Joking aside, with such a top-notch genius in the academy, it would be too embarrassing to say he didn’t know about him before!

But inwardly, Yu Hui was far from calm.

That Gold Master Sea Beast just now was the fourth Gold Level sea beast killed by Su Yuan, and the last Master Grade Gold Level sea beast!

This guy was specifically targeting those with high battle merits!

Many Gold Level sea beasts had already been killed by various squads before, and combined with the four slain by Su Yuan, there were hardly any left.

Without leaders, the entire sea beast swarm became increasingly disorganized and sluggish.

Seeing this, Yu Hui and the other three teachers knew that the overall situation was settled…

After a long time, the sounds of battle had disappeared.

On the southern coast, various sea beast corpses were piled up to the hillside. Truly, it was a scene of bodies strewn everywhere and rivers of blood.

The army warriors arrived to handle subsequent matters, while Su Yuan and many academy students returned to the camp. Some were treated, while others rested.

In the camp.

“Su Yuan, you were amazing today!” Cheng Mu couldn’t help but say to Su Yuan.

Gong Zhouheng also smiled and shook his head. “Yes, you are entirely in a different league from us!”

Although Su Yuan rode the Frost Giant Dragon into the tide of sea beasts alone after summoning it, nobody knew what had happened afterward.

But judging from Su Yuan’s displayed strength, now that he was back safely, he must have killed a huge number of sea beasts in the depths of the beast tide!

At this moment, Liu Congyun walked in from the outside.

Seeing Su Yuan, Liu Congyun nodded in acknowledgment and then said to everyone, “Everyone come out, Teacher Yu is summoning us.”

…

In a camp tent, Yu Hui and students from various squads had gathered.

However, their numbers were nine short compared to before.

Of these, six were seriously injured and still receiving treatment.

While the remaining three, they were forever at rest here.

Yu Hui glanced at the weary faces of everyone, then spoke, “Long story short, let’s summarize this battle’s results.

In this beast tide, there were a total of over 1,500 sea beasts. Besides the ones that us teachers dealt with, there were about a thousand left.

Among them, eighteen were Gold Level, over six hundred were Silver Stage, and the rest were Bronze Level.

According to the statistics from the Detection Communication Device, our Demon Capital students killed 174 Bronze-level sea beasts, 287 Silver Stage sea beasts, and… nine Gold Level sea beasts!”

“So many!”

“We killed nine Gold Level star beasts?”

“Out of eighteen Gold Level star beasts, we took down half!”

The crowd was both shocked and elated, breaking the heavy atmosphere caused by the casualties.

After all, the Demon Capital students only comprised one-fourth of the participants, yet they achieved such results, which was truly surprising.

However, the eleventh squad had an inkling of what was going on and couldn’t help but glance at Su Yuan, who stood nearby.

Yu Hui said, “Our six squads from Demon Capital Academy had just arrived here, and in only one day, we encountered a beast tide of a thousand.

Faced with such a large number of sea beasts, you managed to handle them successfully and performed beyond my expectations!

I will raise the overall assessment rating and provide extra academic point rewards.”

“Good!”

“Teacher Yu is awesome!”

“…”

“As for the detailed battle merits of every participating student…” Yu Hui walked over to the projector and pressed the display button.

Instantly, everyone’s battle merits from this morning’s battle with thousands of sea beasts were clearly shown.

Most Silver Stage students had varied between over two hundred to seven or eight hundred.

Gold Level experts each had at least a thousand. Although not everyone killed Gold Level sea beasts, their speed at killing Silver Stage sea beasts was not comparable to that of Silver Stage students.

Among the many Gold-level individuals, the lowest was a Gold Early Stage squad leader from Qing Province Academy, with 3200 battle merits.

The highest wasn’t Liu Congyun, who killed two Gold Level sea beasts by himself, but Qing Province Academy’s Gold Level girl who used the Thunder Cloud Technique!

Liu Congyun had 8250 battle merits, while the girl from Qing Province Academy, named Zhu Ming, had 8800 battle merits!

However, neither Zhu Ming nor Liu Congyun drew anyone’s attention.

Because the moment the battle merit list appeared, everyone immediately widened their eyes, stunned by the five-digit figure at the top of the list.

“Su Yuan: 52400 battle merits”!

“50k?”

“50k!”

“Holy! Su Yuan has 50k battle merits? What the heck?!”

“…”

After a moment of silence, the entire tent burst into exclamations.

And it wasn’t just the Demon Capital Academy’s tent. The others were the same.

At that moment, everyone in the tent was looking at Su Yuan in disbelief.

Even Liu Congyun, Gong Zhouheng, and others from the eleventh squad were shocked by this unexpected number.

After experiencing Su Yuan’s strength, Liu Congyun and the others were mentally prepared. Even 10k battle merits wouldn’t have surprised them.

But 50k?!

The members of the eleventh squad couldn’t quite process it.

They were somewhat prepared, but not entirely…

A moment later, Cheng Mu stuttered, “Su, Su Yuan, how did you manage such a battle merit count?”

Hearing Cheng Mu’s question, the Demon Capital students in the tent immediately stopped their discussions and looked over.

Su Yuan replied, “Killed some Gold Level sea beasts.”

“Some?”

Su Yuan nodded. “Seems like five.”

Five Gold Level?!

Everyone was shocked again. However, Wang Shuqi quickly pointed out, “No, Su Yuan, just five Gold Level sea beasts doesn’t seem nearly enough!”

“Because four of them were Master Sea Beasts.” Yu Hui, who had been waiting beside him, slowly explained to everyone, “Additionally, aside from these, there were over a hundred Silver Star Beasts.”

Four Gold Master Sea Beasts, one Gold Elite Star Beast, over a hundred Silver Star Beasts…

Such terrifying achievements immediately plunged everyone into silence again.

At this moment, a boy from the thirty-fourth squad’s expression changed as if he had thought of something.

“Su Yuan, were the two Frost Giant Dragons and the Hellfire summoned by you?” the boy asked.

“Indeed.”

“Whoa, amazing!”

“So the Frost Giant Dragon and the Hellfire were also summoned by Su Yuan!”

“…”

Yu Hui clapped his hands and called out, “All right, that’s enough discussion. Go back and rest well, recover as soon as possible.

The island’s safety affairs have been temporarily handed over to the army this afternoon. At 8 PM tonight, stand by, ready for duty. All team members in their positions!”

“Yes!”

Yu Hui gave further instructions for the next steps and then prepared to let everyone go back to rest as soon as possible…
