Supreme Star Card Master

A few days passed, and it was already August 31.

The summer break was almost over.

Colleges all over Great Flame were about to start their new terms, and students from various regions were heading off to their respective academies.

“Mom, I’m leaving now!”

Early in the morning, Su Yuan, equipped with his space ring, called out to his mother, Tang Shiyang, who was preparing school materials in the next room.

Tang Shiyang hurriedly put down her papers and came out: “Are you sure you don’t want your dad and me to see you off?”

Su Yuan smiled and said: “No need, Demon Capital is so far away.

It’s inconvenient for you to come and go, plus your school starts tomorrow, too.

You have to give a speech on stage.”

“Alright then…”

Tang Shiyang actually wanted to take a leave to see Su Yuan off, but because Su Yuan had been specially enrolled in Demon Capital Academy, she too had become an honored teacher.

The principal had arranged for her to give a speech at the upcoming opening ceremony as a representative teacher.

“Your dad too!

It’s your first day at the academy, and he insists on being busy at the store!”

“The store needs someone to manage it, he can’t get away.” Su Yuan smiled, “Besides, he said there’s a batch of fresh fruit arriving tomorrow.”

Although with Su Yuan’s current strength, making money wasn’t difficult and he could easily support his parents without them needing to work anymore.

Teaching and running the fruit store were not just jobs but a way of life for Tang Shiyang and Su Yang; they were used to it.

Moreover, two weeks ago, a large sum of money, totaling over 3.8 million, had been deposited into Su Yuan’s account from the Shuzhou City Guard Bureau!

The space rings of Tu Yuan and Mo Wenwen were smaller than Su Yuan’s, only two cubic meters each, and amounted to 1.4 million together.

As for the bounties on Tu Yuan and the others, it was around 800,000 per head.

Usually, bounties for Bronze Level wanted individuals were below 500,000, which showed how incredibly strong Tu Yuan and the others must have been.

Adding the sale of various useless treasures Su Yuan had acquired from the Secret Realm, his assets quickly grew to over four million!

With this amount, he could barely afford an ordinary Blue Card on the market.

However, since he already owned two powerful Blue Cards, [Hellfire] and [Hellfire Summon], he wasn’t interested in ordinary ones.

What he really wanted for his last skill slot was a strengthening Star Card.

Su Yuan said to Tang Shiyang: “I have to go, Mom.

Director Wang said he’d take me to the airport; he’s already waiting at the community gate.”

Tang Shiyang was surprised: “Is he?

Then hurry up and don’t keep Director Wang waiting!”

Su Yuan nodded, hugged Tang Shiyang briefly, and then went downstairs.

Wang Haiping and his female secretary, Xiao Yu, were already waiting out front.

After getting in the car, Xiao Yu drove while Su Yuan sat in the back with Wang Haiping.

Wang Haiping said apologetically: “Su Yuan, it was only when my former teacher contacted me a few days ago that I realized they didn’t pick you up on the assessment day.”

Su Yuan smiled: “It’s okay, a student from Demon Capital Academy happened to take me to the assessment site, so I didn’t call you.”

Wang Haiping nodded: “I see…

that’s good then.”

“By the way, Director Wang, since you were once a student at Demon Capital Academy, can you tell me about the mentor assignment there?”

“I was wondering when you’d ask.” Wang Haiping chuckled, “Mentor assignments depend on the number of new students.

Do you know how many new students are admitted each year by the over a hundred Star Power Academies nationwide?”

Su Yuan thought for a moment: “I know a bit.

Shuzhou College admits a bit over 4,000 students each year, and Qingye Academy admits around 4,800.

As for the Three Capitals Academy, I hear they enroll fewer than the general academies.

I don’t know the exact number; please enlighten me, Director Wang.”

Wang Haiping, being a local education director, was well-versed in these figures.

He nodded and began his explanation:

“Our Great Flame is vast and populous, and every year around 14 million students sit for college entrance exams.

Among these 14 million, only about 400,000 are admitted to Star Power Academy’s Star Apprentice Class, less than 1 in 30 of the total examinees!

In Great Flame, every Second Stage City or higher has an academy, totaling over a hundred.

Including the Twelve States and numerous Second Stage Cities within them, each academy usually admits 4,000 to 5,000 students each year.

The seven independent cities, including the Three Capitals and Four Extremes, have higher admission standards, leading to fewer admissions, usually around 2,000 or more.

So, our Demon Capital Academy also admits a little over 2,000 new students each year.”

“Around 2,000…”

Su Yuan had checked Demon Capital Academy’s forum while at home and seen mentions of the new student numbers.

Wang Haiping paused and added: “But it’s worth noting that there are two special cases.

Both the Capitol City, the core of Great Flame, and Demon City, which is teeming with international organizations and enterprises, have far more resources than Four Extremes City and the Demon Capital located on the southeastern border near the Ancient Forbidden Zone.

Thus, the Capitol and Demon City academies are exceptionally strong, and with their high-quality student sources guaranteed, they enroll nearly 3,000 new students annually!”

Su Yuan nodded.

In terms of resources, both the Capitol and Demon City were indeed a notch above Demon Capital.

In fact, shortly after Su Yuan was admitted to Demon Capital Academy, teachers from Capitol and Demon City academies had also contacted him, offering rather generous conditions.
