Inheriting a Lost Bloodline, My First Task is to have heirs?!

Chapter 318: Chapter 318 - Getting better at pacifying a jealous and pregnant husband

After the quick teleportation, we reappeared inside the living room of our little hut. Laerad let go of my hand then sat grumpily on the soft chairs. He simply stared at me without saying anything.

I sighed heavily and sat beside him. I heard the guy scoff at me and look away. I think I will never get used to these mood swings brought about by my husbands’ pregnancy. This is the second time I am in this situation but I am sure that there are many more instances to go for me.

I softly spoke, ”Just to set things straight, I did not personally invite them. I gave the heads up and all the instructions to the fairy king then I gave him full authority to implement anything that he thinks is needed to be done for the migration of their race.”

He replied in a cold tone, ”I know. I was watching you the whole time. I just never thought that all five of them will decide to come here. Damn opportunistic fairy bastards.”

I smiled and added, ”I gave instructions that as long as any fairy is willing to leave that sanctuary to come here, they are free to do so. I can’t just say no to them just because I want to avoid those five men specifically. I never spoke with any of them one-on-one. Peony and other fairies are always around when I meet them.”

He clicked his tongue and responded, ”I said that I know. I have been watching and listening in the whole time. I just can’t control my emotions at all. I was never like this before.”

I chuckled and teased him, ”You were also never pregnant before and this is your first time. I think it is our children being overprotective and jealous then. Too bad, I guess their father doesn’t mind at all.”

Laerad pulled me near him and gave me a hug from the side, ”Who said that I didn’t mind?! I can only stand those guys because I know your kids with them were born from other methods and you have nothing to do with them!”

I hugged him back and teased him, ”Then, why are you jealous and grumpy? Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?”

He murmured weakly, ”I said I don’t know. I also don’t understand. I know it is all a part of your mission and that I can’t be the only one. I just suddenly felt it out of nowhere. I am not used to these emotional fluctiations too. I don’t know how to fix it.”

I tapped his back to calm him down while repeatedly saying, ”It’s okay. I understand what you mean. Just breathe and relax.”

We stayed cuddling for several minutes in the living room while staying silent. At these times, all I can do is be patient and understanding with what he’s going through.

I remember how in my previous world, this should be something normal for first time mothers too. I am just thankful that in this world, I don’t have to be the one who’s pregnant or giving birth. I can say that I am better suited at making money since there is not much reference in my life in terms of what parents should be like.

After he has calmed down, he finally loosened up his hug and looked at my face intently. I let him stare at me as much as his heart desired but after about 5 minutes, of course, I started feeling uncomfortable. I couldn’t help but ask, ”Is there something wrong with my face or is there a question you have on your mind?”

He smiled at me and blushed, ”I... I was just wondering if the kids would look like you or me?”

I looked at him while chuckling, ”Hmm... Based on my experience on the first set of twins, they would look more like you than me. They would only have a few things that they would get from me like maybe their skin color, the texture of their hair or the shape of their eyes or lips. I think it is the way of this world to reward men for all their sacrifices during pregnancy. It would also make it easier to identify who is the father of a child in huge families.”

He looked at me like I am saying something amazing. He then murmured shyly, ”I don’t mind if they look more like you though.”

I leaned in and gave him a lingering kiss on the lips. I smiled at him and replied, ”You promised me a dozen little Laerads though so they should all look like you.”

He blushed even further as he said, ”Umm... Wife... That dozen... Can we not...”

I cut him off and said, ”Nope. You agreed back then. No take backs. How many are you thinking of giving me?”

He cautiously said, ”Well... I don’t even know if I can take care of two immediately... So...”

I laughed and replied, ”Our lives are damn long. We can have a child after the first pair of twins have grown up. Were you thinking that I will keep on getting you pregnant right after each time you give birth until we get a dozen? I am not that cruel or in a hurry. I won’t back out on the dozen though.”

I smirked at him naughtily and he looked away while biting his lower lip. I laughed out loud at his reaction. I guess with this, he isn’t feeling that grumpy anymore.

With a cautious tone, he said, ”I don’t mind you having others as long as you don’t forget about me. It’s the normal family setup here anyways. Just... Can you not flirt with your new lovers right in front of me? As for those that are already your husbands, I am already fine with them.”

I looked at him with a knowing smile and said, ”Why do you think I asked for a separate realm that I can use personally for my mystique lovers? Do you think I enjoy making you feel bad and grumpy? You know I would never abandon those that I already accepted so I can’t help but treat them well even in front of others.”

He nodded and hugged me tight again. He then whispered, ”That realm is almost done since you have been giving me mana support and specific ideas for it. I was just finishing that room that will collect rent and I am going to connect it to a similar room I have at the core of the world tree.”

I gave him random kisses on his face and neck and he couldn’t help but laugh with his modulated voice as if he was being tickled. He then commented under his breath though I still heard it clearly, ”I would never be able to say no to this woman. If she really wanted to be cruel, I am sure we won’t only have a dozen. Damn, I have gone too soft.”

He thought I was not able to hear it but instead of speaking I used my left hand to touch and caress his groin all of a sudden. I heard him gasp but I teased him even more, ”I don’t remember you ever being soft when you are with me though.”

Laerad started breathing heavily but he did not remove my hand from where I placed it even if it has traveled inside his clothes. He stuttered a bit trying to reason out, ”I wasn’t... This isn’t what I- meant when I- said... Soft. You... pervert!”

I chuckled and moved my hand faster. Laerad could only grunt and gasp. He couldn’t speak anymore and just breathed heavily.

I teased him by removing my hand all of a sudden. I then spoke, ”I don’t think I am a pervert though.”

He looked dazed and did not react as quickly as expected. When he realized that I stopped what I was doing, he threatened to not see me ever again if I stopped now. I smiled at him but still did not move.

He clicked his tongue, grabbed my hand and then placed it back on the area of his groin. I did not take my hand back but did not move it as well. When he realized that threats did not work, he changed the tone of his voice immediately.

With a softer, almost pleading voice, he said, ”You’re the one who started it so please don’t stop midway. It feels uncomfortable and it is starting to hurt, please...”

I looked at him and replied, ”I am not a pervert though so why would I do that. I thought you were complaining because you disliked it.”

He hurriedly said, ”I take it back! You are not a pervert at all. Please... Can we continue?”

I smiled at him in amusement and said, ”Well, I am not denying I am a pervert. It seems like you are one too, though. Are you going to deny it?”

Frustration is already written all over his face by this time. He then said, ”Yes... I am the pervert. I am hopeless and I always want it. I always think about doing it with you. Please...”

I giggled and teased him, ”Why did you admit to everything? You’re so cute!”

I hugged him and we teleported to our room so he can lay more comfortably without squishing his stomach. I heard him gasp at the sudden surge in mana around us.

I whispered in his ear, ”With how demanding you are, I better make you lie comfortably on the bed. It is not like we would finish after just one or two times, right?”

He buried his face on the crook of my neck and I heard him answer a single, ”Hmm”. He did ask for help and as his wife, I have to help him out as much as I can. *Winks*
