Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

”Hey, don’t you think they’re getting a bit too arrogant?”

On the opposite side of the undead army’s marching route, another squad from the Great Tomb watched the commotion from afar, clicking their tongues.

”Doing this… won’t it just make the whole world unite against them?”

Evileye couldn’t help but feel that the Great Tomb’s guardians were going overboard.

In a magical world, summoning an undead army of over a hundred thousand and openly declaring world conquest was… rather excessive.

City after city fell in their wake, humans fleeing in panic.

It wasn’t hard to predict that all the major powers of this world would likely join forces to crush the undead legion.

—After all, compared to conflicts among humans and demi-humans, an undead army was far more terrifying.

”That’s just how Albedo is.”

Antilene shrugged helplessly.

”Look at it from the bright side—if humanity really gathers all their power against them, once they fight a decisive battle, this whole world will fall into our hands.”

”Besides, aren’t you known as the Nation-Destroyer? I’ve heard your legend. Erasing a single country shouldn’t be too difficult for you, right?”

She glanced toward the blonde loli in front of her.

The Vampire Nation-Destroyer was quite famous among human nations in the Overlord world—she had once singlehandedly turned an entire country into a dead city.

”That’s different!”

Evileye stomped her foot in protest.

In the past, she had been confident in her own power.

But after joining the Starsea Empire, filled with monsters stronger than she could imagine, the so-called Nation-Destroying Loli had long recognized her true position: someone only slightly above average among ordinary people.

Even within the same world, Antilene was stronger than she was.

”The countries here have many troublesome enemies. Recklessly exposing our undead nature could provoke attacks from all sides—it’s dangerous…”

”Albedo isn’t the Commander. She can’t just wipe out every enemy in an instant. There’ll definitely be a bloody battle…”

”Doesn’t matter.”

Tia and Tina shook their heads at the same time.

”If they fail, it’s the guardians’ loss anyway. Let’s just focus on our own mission.”

”I remember… our task was to eliminate Sloth, right?”

The squad shifted their focus back to the mission.

[Exterminate the Sin Archbishop of Sloth]

”Hmm…”

”Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti, Witch Cult Sin Archbishop of Sloth. His past was kind of pitiful… but now he’s just a lunatic.”

Lakyus glanced at the mission file, locating Sloth’s position on the map.

Not far away, in a mountain cave, there was a Witch Cult hideout.

Petelgeuse himself was there, gathered with several of his cult members.

”So? His Authority is the Unseen Hand. If we can’t perceive it, close combat will be dangerous.”

Lakyus rubbed her chin thoughtfully.

”And he can possess other people too. We’ll have to destroy all those ’Fingers of Sloth’ as well.”

The squad fell silent, pondering their approach.

”We should start with reconnaissance—scout the enemy’s numbers and strength, then test him in combat.”

”Keep a few members in reserve at a distance. If we can’t handle it, they can either provide backup or use resurrection scrolls.”

Based on her past experience, Tia offered her cautious plan.

The other non-combatant members nodded in agreement.

”...”

But as soon as she finished, Antilene and Evileye looked at her as if she were an idiot.

”?”

”The Commander gave you all that equipment, and you’re just gonna let it collect dust?” Antilene said flatly.

She and Evileye exchanged a look, then simultaneously pulled out a pair of magical scrolls from their packs.

These were hybrid-tech creations combining magic engineering from the Goblin Slayer and Overlord worlds.

Sealed within was a devastating spell.

[Super-Tier Magic: Fallen Down]

Shua—

The two of them unrolled the scrolls together, narrowed their eyes, and aimed toward the distant mountain cave.

”Oh, right!”

The others finally understood.

Forget stealth, scouting, or infiltration…

At a time like this, they should just think about what the Commander would do:

Using their technological and firepower advantage, they struck first—delivering a preemptive, annihilating blow to the enemy.

If one barrage wasn’t enough, then they’d just unleash another.

Everyone pulled out their scrolls and began launching a saturation bombardment of super-tier magic.

”But… doesn’t this tactic make us just like shipgirls?…”

...

Not far away.

Inside a hidden mountain cave, a thin man with a mushroom-cut hairstyle and a small cap listened quietly to a subordinate’s report, nodding from time to time.

”...”

A Witch Cultist dressed in uniform whispered in his ear for a moment.

Crack—

Petelgeuse twisted his neck into an unnatural angle, staring directly at the cultist.

”An undead army spotted in the distance? Attacking the kingdom’s cities?”

”You don’t know who they are?”

”No further information?…”

He leaned in, eyes wide.

”No more information?… How slothful of you.”

Smack!

He grabbed the believer by the neck and began beating him furiously, shouting hysterically:

”The trial is near! We must eliminate all instability—and yet you ignored the undead that appeared before us?!”

”Is this how you repay the Gospel’s grace?!”

Bang! Bang! Bang! — Crack! Smash!

He beat the poor cultist into a barely recognizable shape, then suddenly clutched his own head and fell to his knees, screaming hoarsely:

”Sloth! Sloth! Sloth… SLOTH!!!”

”Forgive us for failing your love, Sloth! Love must be repaid with love!!”

His body contorted as he issued new orders to the remaining cultists.

”Go. Find out exactly where they came from.”

”If they are enemies, slaughter them all and bring me their leader’s head.”

Shua—

The cultists nodded and began preparing their teleportation spell—but suddenly realized the space around them had been completely sealed. All teleportation magic failed.

”?”

Petelgeuse turned his twisted neck toward the sky, sensing something approaching.

Clap—

Antilene, Evileye, and the others pressed their hands on their scrolls. Complex magic circles flared to life around them.

”Super-Tier Magic: Fallen Down!”

Boom—!

A torrent of blazing energy fell from the heavens, hitting the ground with the force of a starship bombardment.

The first wave alone flattened the entire mountain and heavily injured Sloth inside.

”I must… live diligently… again…”

As his skin blistered from the scorching heat, the second, third, and subsequent waves followed relentlessly.

The Starsea Empire never lacked ammunition.

After grinding in the Goblin Slayer world for so long, everyone carried massive packs filled with all kinds of magical scrolls.

When it came to eradicating enemies, mercy was not an option.

They were all firm believers in the doctrine of firepower superiority—whether technological or magical.

Boom—!

Rumble!!—

Beams of light rained down continuously.

Every Witch Cult member in the area, along with Petelgeuse and his Fingers, were completely obliterated by the raging magical energy.

”Go, go, go! Let’s move on to the next Sin Archbishop!”

Lakyus and the others felt like they had just opened the door to a new world.

”Changing our mindset like this… it’s way more efficient!!!”

...

Lugnica Kingdom, Royal Capital.

Located at the heart of the realm, this was the kingdom’s most prosperous city—its administrative and economic center.

On the bustling streets, mounted scouts on all kinds of steeds galloped through the crowds, shouting as they went.

They hurriedly parted the sea of pedestrians and dashed toward the royal palace.

”Urgent report from Karsten! Border regions under attack by an unknown undead army!”

”Emergency alert from Kineb Town! The undead are attacking!”

”Scouts in Bonobo District report a massive undead force marching toward the capital!”

Every messenger carried dire news.

The royal guards, seeing their frantic faces, let them into the palace without question.

Inside the grand and ornately decorated throne hall...

The gold-and-crimson throne stood in the center of the grand hall. On both sides of the chamber sat several men, each wearing ornate, uniformed attire—members of the Council of Wise Men, the governing body that assisted the King of Lugnica in managing the kingdom.

From the royal selection to matters of diplomacy and economics, the Council of Wise Men held decision-making authority over nearly every national affair.

Below them stood nobles of all ranks, officials, and members of the royal guard.

”An unidentified undead army that appeared along our border is now marching toward the royal capital.”

”They have already captured more than ten cities and will soon be at our gates.”

One of the councilmen announced the shocking news.

”Is it an army from the Empire?”

A government official asked nervously.

”No. They call themselves the Starsea Empire—servants of the Supreme One. From what I can tell, they are not affiliated with the Vollachia Empire, the Kararagi Republic, nor the Holy Kingdom.”

The councilman shook his head.

”The first to witness this undead legion was Count Roswaal. They seem to have originated near the borders between our kingdom, the Empire, and the Holy Kingdom.”

”Their ranks include not only ordinary undead but also a large number of high-tier magical beasts. They are extremely dangerous.”

”...”

The hall erupted in anxious murmurs.

An undead army—such a force had never appeared in the history of the kingdom. And this so-called Empire and Supreme being? No one had even heard of them.

But one thing was clear: to the human nations, this undead army represented a grave threat.

If they were conquered, the outcome would almost certainly be disastrous.

”We must repel them—for the kingdom and for our people!”

A young man with fiery red hair and a pristine white uniform stood up.

Reinhard van Astrea—though still young, he was already known as a prodigy who had bested his father in swordsmanship at the age of five. Everyone saw him as the future hero of the kingdom, and his words carried great weight.

”Calm yourself. The undead army’s numbers are vast. We must mobilize our forces and summon the court mages to stand against them.”

One of the Wise Men raised his hand for silence.

”Additionally, we must contact the Empire, the Holy Kingdom, and the Kararagi Republic. Against the undead legion, humanity must unite.”

”Hopefully, they can set aside their grudges and face this threat together.”

”Hmm…”

The gathered nobles nodded in agreement.

”Reinhard.”

One of the council members called his name.

”You are the kingdom’s strongest knight. In the coming battle against the undead army—and this so-called Starsea Empire—your role will be crucial.”

”Understood!”

Reinhard stood straight and saluted.

”I will win—by the grace of the sword!”
