Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

If the fleet’s operation over a year ago in the Black Bullet world was a full-scale invasion by a spacefaring civilization against a pre-space one, then this time in the Akame ga Kill world, the power gap was even wider.

This was a war between a galactic overlord and feudal primitives.

After upgrades using Fleet of Fog technology, even the smallest destroyer in the fleet exceeded one kilometer in length.

Hovering in the air, it could completely block out the sky over a small town.

The carriers and battleships were even more massive—standing on the ground, one could barely see their full length.

Humans from the pre-space era could still vaguely recognize them as spaceship.

But the feudal natives had no clue what they were. According to their level of education, airplanes and missiles were already divine technology—

let alone actual space warships.

So the first thing that appeared in the eyes of the populace was confusion.

Whether it was the guards of the imperial capital or the royal nobles inside the palace, all stared upward in bewilderment.

Everyone looked up at the night sky.

The metallic hulls of the starships reflected a cold sheen under the moonlight, and the blinking signal lights added an immense sense of pressure.

”Tsk, Commander, this place is really backward, huh?”

Gudako, Jeanne Alter, and the others stood on the bridge of the Eternal Snowfall, observing the situation below.

The Akame ga Kill world was locked in a cold weapons era, with underdeveloped productivity.

The Empire’s leadership was deeply corrupt.

The result resembled the tyrannical, debauched monarchs of feudal history—plunging the people into misery.

There were ruined villages and barren farmlands everywhere.

Yet the royal city of the capital gleamed with gold and jade. The nobles lived in absurd luxury.

Dressed in fine clothing, they paraded through the streets in carriages, completely ignoring the ragged beggars lining 03 Street.

”That’s why we must conquer this world—and bring them a new order.”

Setsuna snorted, and with one command—

the starship fleet slowly dispersed, dividing into more than ten squadrons and flying off across the world.

Since this was a cross-world war, his target wasn’t just the capital.

It was the entire planet.

Every nation and every civilization here would either submit to the Starsea Fleet—or be annihilated.

Bzzz—

A sharp buzzing echoed through the air, like someone tuning a broadcast.

The people below, along with Honest and others, looked up.

In this feudal society, there were no phones, TV, or internet—no way to disrupt their communications technologically.

So they had to do it manually.

Soon, Setsuna’s voice echoed from the sky.

”Greetings. We are a civilization from another world.”

”The capital, and leaders elsewhere, may have already received my message. We have only one goal in coming here—to conquer this world.”

”On behalf of the Starsea Alliance, I hereby declare war on all nations and forces of this world.”

The shipgirls used the broadcast system to transmit Setsuna’s declaration across the globe.

At that moment, it was nighttime in the capital. Many were startled awake from their dreams, lighting candles, opening windows, and staring in shock at the fleet in the night sky.

Honest, the little emperor, and other national leaders wore grim expressions.

They’ve arrived!! Real aliens have arrived!!!

That communication and declaration of war weren’t jokes—this was a real war!

Their ships represented a level of technology they couldn’t even begin to comprehend.

Several imperial generals furrowed their brows, wondering whether ballistae and trebuchets on the walls could even reach those ships.

”Submit to me and become vassal states under the Alliance, and I will bring you a new order and a new way of life.”

Setsuna continued calmly.

”From this day forth, there will be no more empires, kingdoms, or nations. The entire world shall be unified.”

”I order all nobles and rulers of the Empire to surrender within half a day and submit to judgment.”

”Otherwise, I will destroy you.”

Considering the need to govern this world long-term, Setsuna clearly stated his intentions.

His target was the ruling class of the Akame ga Kill world. As for the common people, he held no hostility.

In fact, under the Alliance’s rule, advanced technology could provide a better life for ordinary folks.

”...”

The Imperial Capital and other nations that heard the broadcast fell silent for a brief moment.

Then came an uproar.

The common people shifted from shock to confusion, then to a trace of curiosity and hope.

They had suffered under the corrupt Empire for too long. Every rebellion had been brutally crushed due to the overwhelming difference in power.

Now, a fleet from another world had arrived, declaring it would overthrow the Empire and establish a new order?

Life couldn’t get much worse. Even without knowing much about this so-called Starsea Alliance, many hoped it would succeed.

At the very least, it might bring some change to their dark and miserable lives.

The soldiers trembled.

”Declaration of war”—that was the only phrase echoing in their minds.

In other words, battle was imminent.

Looking at the spears, swords, and crossbows in their hands, then up at the sky-covering space battleships...

The power gap was almost comical.

Even if the locals didn’t understand the power of starships, a rough estimate said trebuchets and ballistae wouldn’t reach a few thousand meters into the sky.

A warship several kilometers long could be dropped like a blunt weapon from the sky and still crush entire legions.

Their only hope was that the Teigu users might find some way to counter the aliens.

The most panicked of all were the Empire’s nobles.

”Surrender? Judgment?! Are you kidding me?!”

”Some guy from who-knows-where wants to come here and put me on trial?!”

Honest slammed the table in fury.

The surrounding nobles all echoed his outrage.

They clearly understood that Setsuna was aiming directly at them.

If surrender meant they could keep their luxury and privilege, they might have accepted.

They would’ve even tied up the little emperor and handed him over.

But what Setsuna brought was total conquest. In his design, the concept of ”nobility” had no place.

Talk of bloodlines and heritage from this backward world meant nothing to an interstellar civilization. Even if your ancestors were emperors for three generations, it was worthless.

The only ones deserving of leniency were his companions in the capital.

”We must resist to the death. Surrender is not an option.”

Honest said in a low voice.

”Yes!”

The nobles agreed in unison.

Even surrender didn’t guarantee survival—it seemed the alien had no intention of sparing them.

So for the sake of their future, they might as well gamble everything.

”But... how do we fight things flying in the sky?”

”Even if they just fall on the capital, we’re done for.”

One minister asked.

”Our current weapons really can’t handle them...”

Honest stroked his chin and thought for a moment.

”Have the craftsmen rush out more powerful ballistae. Also, summon the Jaegers and all available Teigu users and Temple of Imperial Fist members.”

”Concentrate our forces to attack and destroy those ships.”

”And get Esdeath back immediately!”

The Empire’s strongest fighting force lay in the hands of its Teigu users.

Concentrating them for a decisive battle with the invaders—or attempting a decapitation strike to eliminate their leader—

That was the most direct and feasible plan Honest could come up with.

”Gather all Teigu users and deliver a fatal blow to the enemy...”

The ministers and nobles thought it over for a while and agreed to the proposal.

”Indeed, if we act separately, we’ll be defeated one by one. We must concentrate our strength and face the enemy head-on.”

”The Empire’s rise or fall depends on this battle!”

...

Meanwhile—

On the Eternal Snowfall, inside the command bridge.

Nymph poked Setsuna.

”Master, we’ve got a situation. Those ministers are cooking up a plan against you.”

The blue-haired twin-tailed little loli recounted Honest’s entire discussion with the ministers, word for word.

As an all-purpose electronic warfare angel, she had not only powerful electromagnetic interference abilities, but also ridiculous eavesdropping capabilities.

Thanks to advanced modifications from the base, Nymph could use sound waves to precisely monitor enemy conversations.

”Oh? Mobilizing all Teigu users for a decisive showdown with us?”

”Betting the fate of their nation? Interesting. I like it—very flavorful.”

Setsuna almost laughed.

”Master, should I eliminate them?”

Ikaros suddenly pulled out a massive purple bow and aimed it out the viewing window.

”Stop!!! Why are you pulling out Apollo already?!”

”That thing could blow up half a planet!”

Nymph was horrified.

”They’re trying to harm Master. Unforgivable. The final weapon must be used.”

Ikaros replied emotionlessly.

”Relax. I could stand there and let them hit me for two hundred years and they still wouldn’t break through.”

Setsuna patted Ikaros on the head and had her put Apollo away.

Then he began assigning tasks to the Spirits, Heroic Spirits, and others.

”Bring back the ones I need. As for the rest of the Empire’s dogs and Teigu users—you’re free to act and dispose of them however you like.”

”If anything unexpected happens, call the fleet.”

The Heroic Spirits and Spirits had been cooped up at home for too long. This time, Setsuna decided to let them stretch their legs.

Otherwise, it was always the Eternal Snowfall and a few shipgirls hogging the spotlight—everyone else started getting moody.

”You mean Akame, Sheele, Mine, and Leone, right? Don’t worry—I’ll have them tied up on your bed in no time.”

Gudako slapped her chest with confidence.

Helping the commander collect girls sounded a bit off, but in the world of Akame ga Kill, it was par for the course.

They didn’t mind having more interdimensional friends join the capital.

With that, she climbed into Barbatos, armed with a spear-hammer over ten meters long, and leapt out toward the ground below.

”I love beating up natives in a Gundam, hahahahaha—”

The malicious laughter echoed through the sky.

”Heard this world has transformation-type Teigu too? Possession-type demons? Asura incarnates?”

”Come on, let’s see how you match up against Barbatos!”

Her shameless voice left the shipgirls speechless.

”Fighting natives with a Gundam? What kind of twisted hobby is that?!”

”Then again... we’re flying starships, so we probably shouldn’t talk...”
