Crossover Shipgirls: Building a Dimensional Empire from Scratch

Two weeks passed quietly.

Setsuna had several meals with Artoria, watched a few theater performances with Nero, and accompanied Jeanne d’Arc on a trip to the library to attend a theology lecture.

After increasing his favorability with the remaining Heroic Spirits from Chaldea, they finally settled down for the time being.

He could sense that Jeanne Alter, Jeanne d’Arc, and Artoria all had some degree of interest in him.

However, the feelings of the Heroic Spirits were not as passionate and intense as those of the shipgirls. Jeanne Alter and Jeanne d’Arc would still occasionally bicker, but as long as he continued spending time with them, everything would fall into place naturally.

As for those like Astraea, Popess Johanna, and Stheno—who either carried too much divinity or had unresolved issues in their hearts—they generally remained indifferent.

He figured that he would have to wait until he tackled problems in the Lostbelts or Singularities to further his relationships with them.

One day, while pondering over the Hyperdimensional Star Map, he suddenly realized that ever since he completed his last mission, the map hadn’t changed much.

Most of the worlds on it had already been conquered or were in a semi-conquered state.

The remaining worlds—Honkai, Goblin Slayer, Transformers, and Overlord—were still out of reach for now.

A complete conquest of Honkai would require waiting for the Siren’s high-powered spiritron calculation device to be developed, allowing for large-scale space-time jumps.

For Goblin Slayer and Transformers, he needed to wait for Lucoa to teach him aura suppression magic, since he wasn’t ready to go head-to-head with Unicron or those inexplicable gods just yet.

As for Overlord, the only way forward was to find a way to take control of YGGDRASIL’s system permissions, which would require long-term planning.

As a result, Setsuna realized that—aside from commanding the Bulins to farm resources on Earth—he didn’t have much else to do.

”Hello? System? Console? Can you lift some of the fog of war, please? I’ve already beaten all my available neighbors.”

”Is there another world out there—one that’s weak but rich, with a military as feeble as ants, an economy akin to the gods, filled with tons of girls and new technology for me to explore?”

”Don’t tell me I have to advance to the next technological era and become a lightspeed civilization just to unlock more of the map?”

He directed his question to the system.

If unlocking new regions required technological progress, then god knows how long it would take for Akashi to build a lightspeed spaceship.

[Ding—]

A mechanical notification sound rang out.

[Once the host has mastered supernatural power, he can use his spiritual power to observe more civilizations on the Hyperdimensional Star Map.]

”Hah?”

”You couldn’t have told me this sooner? So I could have been exploring the map manually this whole time?”

Setsuna recalled that when he first arrived, he had vaguely sensed other worlds, but back then, his spiritual power wasn’t strong enough to see clearly.

[The host did not inquire previously. Thank you.]

”Fine, whatever…”

After dealing with the system, Setsuna activated the Hyperdimensional Star Map, focused his mind, and poured his consciousness into it.

This process consumed an immense amount of energy—he felt as if he were standing at the pinnacle of the multiverse, overlooking countless worlds across the vast expanse of existence.

Far beyond Earth, countless worlds stretched out before him.

Some were even marked with ”Danger” tags—likely a system warning about their potential threats.

But their names and locations were all blurry and indistinct.

”Hmm…”

Setsuna focused his attention further, locking onto a distant world.

”Terra Era? Is this Rhodes Island? Should I try contacting the old lynx, Kal’tsit…”

”…”

”What? The Grand Marshal has been critically wounded and remains in a coma? Damn, it’s that Terra?! Forget it, forget it…”

After taking a look, he realized that the world in the distance was far too chaotic.

Setsuna shifted his focus to closer locations instead.

He poured more of his consciousness into the Star Map, pushing away the surrounding shadows—just like a science ship exploring the unknown in Stellaris.

Thanks to his dual Wisdom Cores, training from the Spirit of Origin, and Lucoa’s guidance, his mental and magic reserves were incredibly vast. Yet, when poured into the Hyperdimensional Star Map, it felt like a drop in the ocean.

”Hmm…”

As his awareness expanded deeper into the Star Map, the range of revealed territories steadily grew.

Finally, after exhausting all his mental energy, he slumped back into his chair, gasping for breath.

And then—

Several new worlds appeared on the Star Map.

”???”

The moment Setsuna laid eyes on these worlds, he froze.

”Wait, what did I just say? ’Give me a world full of girls’?!…”

”Damn, that wish got granted way too fast.”

A bit farther from Earth, three new civilizations had emerged:

[Girls und Panzer (Pre-Space Age)]

[Nekopara (Pre-Space Age)]

[Black Bullet (Pre-Space Age)]

Every single one of them belonged to the pre-space age civilization tier.

And, based on his knowledge of these worlds…

They were all about girls. Different kinds of girls.

[Girls und Panzer]

A fictional world where, in order to become the ideal Yamato Nadeshiko, high school girls must master the art of ”Sensha-dō”—also known as Tankery, or in short, driving tanks.

As the name suggests, this anime was as hardcore as it got. Its only focus was tanks and girls.

A military-themed world, it had a lot in common with Azur Lane and the concept of shipgirls.

[Nekopara]

Also known as ”Neko Paradise”, this world was famous for its catgirls.

Back in the day, this setting took the internet by storm as the definitive visual novel masterpiece, sparking a worldwide obsession with catgirls.

In this world, everyone was a catgirl.

[Black Bullet]

Probably a world filled with millions of high-quality lolis.

The Black Bullet world had a modern-era level of technology, but it also contained some supernatural elements.

In this world, Earth was under siege by monstrous creatures known as Gastrea, leading to a prolonged war between them and humanity.

Some infected mothers gave birth to ”Cursed Children”, young girls with superhuman abilities—millions of them.

They were all young girls around the age of ten, possessing special abilities granted by the Gastrea Virus, such as enhanced reflexes, strength, intelligence, and more.

The Cursed Children were frequently used as weapons against the Gastrea, yet in human society, they suffered from endless discrimination and abuse.

”Ahem—”

Setsuna pondered for a moment, cleared his throat, and activated the communicator.

”Shipgirls, Spirits, Heroic Spirits, and Tohru—assemble!”

...

Half an hour later.

A lively crowd of excited shipgirls, Heroic Spirits, and Spirits led by Mio gathered in the hall.

”Commander! Commander! Are we finally going to another world?!”

Several destroyer-class shipgirls peeked around, their faces filled with curiosity.

”Setsuna, if you’re heading to another world, take me with you. I’d love to witness the beauty of other worlds firsthand.”

”When it comes to combat, I’m quite confident in my abilities.”

Mio led a boisterous group of Spirits, all eager for action.

”Hmm… This time, our opponents aren’t particularly strong. The first two worlds are basically just everyday life settings at best…”

”As for the Black Bullet world… our main mission is to rescue people. Given your combat capabilities, there won’t be any particularly dangerous threats.”

Setsuna scanned the group before him.

Starship-upgraded shipgirls, Heroic Spirits wielding Anti-Army and Anti-City Noble Phantasms, and an absolutely overpowered Spirit of Origin.

Against them, the Gastrea wouldn’t even have the right to breathe.

Setsuna quickly briefed everyone on the three new worlds.

The first two were relatively straightforward—everyone was mostly intrigued by their unusual cultures.

”Tankery? Aren’t they just pre-space-age natives? Why don’t we enlighten the Girls und Panzer world by introducing them to Ship Warfare instead?”

”We could even establish a Starship Academy based on their system! Let’s bring over Oarai Girls’ Academy, Kuromorimine, Pravda, Anzio, and all the others!”

Yukikaze eagerly proposed.

In the Girls und Panzer world, Tankery was an all-girls discipline, meaning all the schools were female-only.

This setup could seamlessly transition into space warfare, shifting from traditional tank combat to advanced interstellar fleet tactics.

Imagining a future where piloting starships becomes a mandatory course in the Starsea Alliance…

It actually made a lot of sense.

”Catgirls… Does this mean that after shipgirls became a reality, a new species is about to join the party?”

Richelieu seemed quite interested in the Nekopara world.

”They do look rather adorable… Commander, are they considered pets or citizens?!”

”…”

Setsuna couldn’t answer this question. Theoretically speaking, catgirls, being modified from cats, should be classified as pets.

But in reality, it was often inevitable that their relationship with their owners would exceed that of a simple pet-and-owner dynamic.

”Hmm... In any case, this world must have the technology to create catgirls. In the future, we can produce our own.”

”They could do housework, act cute, and probably be good for a lot of things…”

Then, when he mentioned the last world, the situation got out of control.

”Death sentence! Death sentence! All of them deserve to die!”

Tohru spat a massive fireball into the air, visibly agitated.

”What they did was far too cruel… They were just children…”

Yat Sen shook her head, unable to believe that humans could harbor such deep malice toward children.

”See? I told you! Wretched humans… It’s better to just wipe them all out!”

Jeanne Alter leaned on her dragon flag, looking ready to cause trouble.

From any angle, the treatment of the Cursed Children in Black Bullet’s world was outright sickening.

Even some of the more chaotic and ruthless individuals in the room couldn’t hold back their outrage.

The shipgirls, Heroic Spirits, and Spirits began to clamor, all looking as if they were about to demand an immediate military campaign.

”Commander, what is your plan…?”

Richelieu turned to Setsuna.

Setsuna simply patted her on the shoulder.

”Why do you think, from the very moment I landed in this world, I started having the Bulins farm, develop agriculture, and import food from other worlds?”

”Even though shipgirls, Heroic Spirits, and Spirits don’t need them, I still ordered the construction of massive numbers of schools, hospitals, and human-oriented facilities, along with fully equipped dormitory buildings?”

”Millions of Bulins and Manjuus—they’re not just universal builders, are they? They’re more than capable of taking care of people too, right?”

The nearby shipgirls suddenly realized what he meant.

”Prepare long-term provisions… and make contributions.”
