Not Being a Trainer This Time

Time passed minute by minute, and the sand whirlpool lasted for about three minutes.

When Steelix’s body emerged from the sand tomb, Pikachu fell softly to the ground, clearly having lost its ability to fight.

”Pikachu has lost its combat capability, this match goes to Jinshou!” the referee announced the result.

”Come back, Pikachu! You’ve worked hard, now it’s time to rest!” Naoki recalled Pikachu and then took out the last Poke Ball, ”Looks like you’ve pushed me to the brink!”

Jinshou dared not be careless; was he finally going to send out Zapdos?

With a flash of white light, Naoki’s last Pokemon appeared on the battlefield.

That indeed was the same Zapdos that had just performed a series of three feats!

Upon seeing this, the bullet chats in the live stream flew by rapidly.

[Indeed! It’s that Zapdos again, it’s surprising to see that the Levincia Gym’s leader actually possesses a Legendary Pokemon...]

[Zapdos is an Electric and Flying type Pokemon. Even as a Legendary Pokemon, it has a great disadvantage against Steelix, its signature moves have no effect on Steelix at all.]

[Is this Zapdos the strongest Pokemon of this gym leader?]

[Strongest? You think this is all Mr. Naoki has to offer? No, no, no! His strength is far beyond this; this is just the tip of the iceberg!]

Trainers who had once challenged the trials on Naoki Ranch but got thoroughly defeated came out to explain upon seeing that bullet chat.

[You’ve never seen the terrifying Gogoats, they can instantly summon a vast Grassy Terrain, and what’s scarier is that the Grassy Terrain is exclusively effective for Gogoats!]

[Yes, yes! There’s also Dragonite that can freely control hurricanes, compared to the Electric type, Mr. Naoki is clearly more skilled with Grass and Dragon type Pokemon. The power gap between Pikachu, Jolteon, and Zapdos is too big; it looks like this gym’s team was just put together hastily.]

[I wonder what the remaining three Pokemon will be... I guess there must be a special Pawmot among them, swinging a hammer like Tinkaton, anyway undoubtedly stronger than Zapdos.]

Upon seeing these bullet chats, some passerby netizens and netizens from other regions were shocked.

What? Zapdos isn’t this gym leader’s strongest Pokemon?

That is a Legendary Pokemon Zapdos!!!

The live stream viewers were all dumbfounded.

Generally, in battles, such a trump card like Zapdos would definitely be reserved for the end.

By sending out Zapdos now, does it mean the gym leader’s remaining three Pokemon are all more powerful than Zapdos?

What is going on here?

This individual is obviously so powerful, even far beyond the Gym Leader level; why does he want to be a gym leader here?

This question was quickly answered by the bullet chats.

[Rumor has it the previous gym leader is pregnant, and the current gym leader is substituting for his wife.]

[...]

The challengers of Levincia Gym are now in luck.

And in fact, those netizens guessed correctly, this is precisely why Naoki chose to send out Zapdos third.

Lei Gong’s strength is unknown, Naoki estimated that it should be on par with Zapdos.

The complete form of Pawmot is even more so.

As for Jirachi, although Jirachi appears extremely cute, even innocently cute.

However, in reality, it contains an enormous amount of comet energy within its body.

Originally, Jirachi absorbed this energy intending to nurture the Forina Land, but this task was replaced by the Tree of Beginning Leaf, causing the comet energy to be entirely absorbed and utilized by it.

If all that energy were released, Naoki feels its power should be no less than that of a small nuclear bomb.

”Whistle!” The referee blew the whistle, announcing the start of the third battle.

”Steelix, Rock Throw!” Jinshou issued the command first.

Steelix on the ground gazed at the opposing Zapdos. Though the opponent was strong, Steelix was not intimidated; instead, its spirits were elevated.

It opened its massive mouth, rapidly condensing rock power, creating a large rock and spitting it towards Zapdos in mid-air.

Zapdos flapped its wings, agilely dodging the rock throw, then let out a sharp bird cry, diving down towards Steelix.

”No, that Zapdos is too agile to be hit!” Jinshou was highly tense, forcing himself to calm down: ”Calm, calm! The most important thing now is to think of a strategy!”

”It’s our turn!” Observing Zapdos’ actions, Naoki simultaneously issued a command: ”Hurricane!”

Zapdos abruptly changed direction, its proud gaze locked onto Steelix down below, its wings emitting the sound of electrical crackling, then forcefully flapping.

”Whoosh!”

A fierce hurricane swept over the battlefield instantly, even Steelix’s heavy body couldn’t help but be shaken by this hurricane.

The raging hurricane crashed against Steelix’s steel body, leaving scars even on its tough hide from the terrifying storm.

”Steelix, hold your ground!” Jinshou furrowed his brows, this was bad, they’ve fallen into the opponent’s rhythm!
