Immortality Begins with Breathing Exercises

If they find out, hiding in the city won’t do any good.

...

A ray of sunlight shone on Lin Zheyu’s face.

Lin Zheyu took several deep breaths, savoring the fresh air and the warm sunshine.

After spending so long inside the Demon God Barrier, being outside felt incredibly refreshing.

”Should I return to the sect first?”

Lin Zheyu pondered silently.

He hadn’t gone back for several days, and surely Mr. Yang and the others thought he was truly dead.

However, the aura on his body was a bit troublesome.

His True Essence was too strong, and the Concealing Breath Skill he practiced couldn’t completely hide his powerful aura.

”I should try the Nine Revolutions Locking Essence Skill.”

”This technique isn’t just for Martial Artists below the Transforming Force; even those at the Transforming Force can use it.”

Lin Zheyu said to himself.

It’s time to go back, and once he’s at the sect, he can settle down and sort out his future path in the Martial Dao.

Once he’s accumulated enough, he’ll venture to the Immortal Realm markets and formally make contact with the Immortal Realm.

With this decision, Lin Zheyu began to operate the Nine Revolutions Locking Essence Skill, intending to seal his True Essence into his acupoints.

As long as he could seal most of his True Essence into his acupoints, he could use the cultivation techniques he’d learned before to hide his aura.

Phew~~

Lin Zheyu exhaled as the Nine Revolutions Locking Essence Skill started to operate.

One revolution, two revolutions, three revolutions...

As the Nine Revolutions Locking Essence Skill circulated, Lin Zheyu’s face gradually turned red.

Sealing the True Essence was extremely difficult, even with Lin Zheyu’s current mental strength and strong control over his body.

Time passed minute by minute.

Sweat beaded on Lin Zheyu’s forehead and dripped onto the leaves below.

After more than ten minutes, Lin Zheyu stopped, gasping for breath.

”I can only operate up to eight revolutions, but it’s enough.”

Lin Zheyu muttered.

About seventy percent of the True Essence in his body was sealed, leaving less than thirty percent circulating in his broad meridians.

At the same time, he felt a throbbing pain coming from the acupoints where the Essence was sealed.

This was due to the excess energy being sealed, reaching the limits of the acupoints.

”Divine Treasure...”

”Hmm, if I use the Nine Revolutions Locking Essence Skill method to lock my Life Essence into the Essence Spirit Treasure, I wonder if it would work...”

This thought emerged again in Lin Zheyu’s mind.

He had thought about this long ago but had never tried it.

The true power of the acupoints in Lin Zheyu’s body had yet to be fully revealed.

Only when his True Essence reached its limit, then nourished and enlarged the acupoints with True Essence, and finally broke through the acupoints using True Essence and a powerful Grandmaster’s will, could the full potentia of the acupoints be demonstrated.

Lin Zheyu planned to try it when the time was right to see if it was feasible.

If it worked, it might actually allow him to unlock the Essence Spirit Treasure!

...

Wuling City.

The Bitao Pavilion sect station.

”Uncle Master!”

”It’s Uncle Master Lin!”

”Quick, notify Mr. Yang and the Pavilion Master that Uncle Master Lin has returned!”

After restoring his original appearance, Lin Zheyu, clad in coarse clothing and looking a bit pale, appeared outside the sect.

”Uncle Master, are you okay?”

An Inner Sect Disciple came forward to ask with concern.

They all thought Uncle Master had perished in the recent turmoil and never expected him to return alive.

”I’m fine.”

Lin Zheyu shook his head, not intending to explain to them.

Entering the sect, he went straight to where Mr. Yang was.

”Disciple Lin Zheyu, greets Mr. Yang and Master,”

Lin Zheyu clasped his fist and saluted Mr. Yang and Huang Baizhong.

”You’re back!”

”Where have you been all this time? Why did you suddenly disappear without a trace?” Huang Baizhong asked with a furrowed brow.

They were incredibly surprised to hear Lin Zheyu had returned but also very happy.

Yet, there was no small amount of puzzlement.

”Disciple encountered danger while on a mission and was swept into that dark, hell-like region.”

”In desperation, I broke through to the Huajin Level, with a bit of luck, and managed to escape alive.”

”...”

Lin Zheyu spoke slowly.

On his way back, he had already thought of an excuse and blamed it on the evil cult.

”Special fate?”

Mr. Yang and Huang Baizhong exchanged a glance, their brows slightly furrowed, evidently, they had heard of this term before.

”Yes.”

”If it weren’t for the intervention of a passing expert, disciple might not have made it back this time.”

Lin Zheyu showed a look of lingering fear on his face as he spoke.

His explanation was that the evil cult took him because of his special fate, and upon entering the Demon God Barrier, an unknown expert happened to see him and saved him.

However, the expert couldn’t personally escort him out of the Demon God Barrier; Lin Zheyu had to struggle his way out on his own within the barrier.

To escape, he had no choice but to break through to the Huajin Level.

”If that’s the case, then it’s a bit troublesome,”

Huang Baizhong slowly said, ”It’s best if you don’t leave the city for a while, and wait until the temporal node matter is resolved and the nearby evil cult members are cleared out.”

”As for ascending to the Huajin Level, ascending is as it is, and it’s not necessarily a bad thing.”

Huang Baizhong consoled.

He had originally been prepared for the loss of this talented disciple, and now seeing Lin Zheyu return alive was a joyous relief.

Surviving and coming back alive was all that mattered.

”By the way, you haven’t condensed the true intent of the Primordial Infinite True Skill, have you?” Mr. Yang interjected.

”Not yet, I’ve only scratched the surface, and before I could condense the true intent, the incident occurred, alas...” Lin Zheyu sighed.

”That’s good, that’s good.”

”It’s good that you haven’t condensed the true intent of the Primordial Infinite True Skill. If you’d comprehended it halfway, then it would truly be troublesome.”

Mr. Yang said with a smile.

The Primordial Infinite True Skill contained eight powerful true intents in total, mutually reinforcing each other, unlike independent true intents.

If not comprehended fully, the consequences could be severe, affecting future promotion to Grandmaster.

This was also why they initially didn’t want Lin Zheyu to practice this cultivation technique.

”You’re still young, having only condensed three true intents now. Practicing one more and switching to Heaven-Breaking Tyrant Flash isn’t a bad idea.”

Mr. Yang said with a chuckle.

In his view, as long as Lin Zheyu didn’t practice the Primordial Infinite True Skill, with his talent and comprehension, achieving Grandmaster, or even Martial Arts Innate, was entirely possible.

”Yes, disciple understands.”

Lin Zheyu replied.

”Alright, you should go back and rest.”

”Don’t leave the city in the near future, just stay within and take it easy.”

”Although special fates are rare, the evil cult people won’t keep hounding you. Hide for a while, and when the storm passes, there should be no problem.”

Huang Baizhong suggested.

”Yes, then I’ll take my leave now.”

Lin Zheyu clasped his fist in salute, then turned to leave.

He breathed a slight sigh of relief, finally managing to bluff through.

Lin Zheyu had thought that Mr. Yang and Master Huang Baizhong might make him go through a Heart Inquiry again, and he had already figured out how to handle it if needed.

Fortunately, they didn’t, saving him from having to babble further.

”Next, it’s time to really settle myself.”

”By the way, I forgot to ask about the Martial Alliance just now.”

”Never mind, I can ask next time as well...”

Lin Zheyu contemplated as he walked towards his residence at Bishui Garden.

Along the way, the disciples saw Lin Zheyu return, all showing shocked expressions, thinking they had seen a ghost.

But soon, they quickly hurried to greet him respectfully.
