Picking Up a Gorgeous CEO for a Wife

Yu Haijiang was very frustrated. Just now, General Guo and Staff Chief Chen had come over and repeatedly instructed him that he must not agree too readily to the demands of Southern Sword.

But Zhang Chao is the grandson of the Vice Commander-in-Chief!

What should he do with the things he asks for?

Yu Haijiang’s forehead was constantly beaded with cold sweat as he said with an awkward smile, ”Instructor Zhang, you must know that we in Luo City Military Region are poor! Southern Sword is already using the best load-bearing equipment! There really isn’t anything better available!”

Zhang Chao immediately became angry, saying coldly, ”Minister Yu, can you not joke around? No better equipment? What’s the deal with the equipment of the Seventh Squad? Did it fall from the sky? Or was it conjured up by the Monkey King, huh?”

”Instructor Zhang, you should know that the Seventh Squad is a famous heroic unit! The equipment of the Seventh Squad has always been the most lavish in the Luo City Military Region, those are specially approved by the General Staff! Yes! General Staff, Instructor Zhang can go directly to them.”

The more Yu Haijiang spoke, the smoother his tone became. He was so clever to have thought of the General Staff!

He had kicked the ball over to the General Staff!

The General Staff?

Zhang Chao was burning with anger. If he had the capability to reach out to the General Staff, he wouldn’t be just a small instructor at Southern Sword!

His grandfather?

The Vice Commander-in-Chief Zhang indeed could handle such a trivial matter, but who is Vice Commander-in-Chief Zhang?

How could he lose face by going to the General Staff to beg for a bit of training equipment?

”Minister Yu, are you looking down on Southern Sword or are you looking down on the Chief Instructor of Southern Sword?”

Zhang Chao was no fool. Seeing that things were going badly, he quickly kicked the ball back to Qin Yu.

Qin Yu rolled his eyes. This Zhang Chao really wasn’t simple!

”No, no! How could I dare to look down on Southern Sword? Southern Sword is the ace unit of our Luo City Military Region! It’s the pride of our Luo City defense area!

I dare not look down on Chief Instructor Qin even more!

Chief Instructor Qin is the foremost figure in the history of our Luo City defense area!

I greatly admire Chief Instructor Qin!

It’s just that the budget of our Luo City defense area’s logistics department is really not that much. Look, I’ve just purchased a large batch of living supplies.

So, we really don’t have money to replace the training equipment!”

Hearing this, Qin Yu smiled slightly.

”Living supplies? I wonder what specific kinds of living supplies Minister Yu is referring to?”

”Quilts, military uniforms, and the like! If Chief Instructor Qin needs military uniforms, I can arrange for a few custom sets from the logistics department.”

With a smile, Qin Yu said, ”I don’t need military uniforms; I want the best quality quilts and mattresses. My soldiers are the finest in the Luo City defense area! I don’t want them sleeping on some poor-quality bedding after rigorous training!”

Huh?

Minister Yu was completely dumbfounded, not having anticipated that Qin Yu would make such a request!

The script wasn’t supposed to go like this!

Isn’t Chief Instructor Qin supposed to be most concerned about the soldiers’ training?

Why is he so concerned about the soldiers’ living conditions?

Unlike Minister Yu, the eyes of all the trainee soldiers looking at Qin Yu changed!

So the Chief Instructor didn’t want to replace training equipment!

He wanted to replace their bedding!

Even Guo Wei felt a strange sensation in his heart!

During the last round of trials, he too had been treated like everyone else, unable to sleep well at night. He didn’t expect Chief Instructor Qin to be so considerate!

Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey, what’s so good about this Qin?

It’s just a small favor!

Realizing that he actually felt a trace of goodwill towards Qin Yu, Guo Wei kept shaking his head, quickly suppressing this ridiculous thought.

”Minister Yu, why aren’t you talking? Hurry up and take our soldiers to pick out bedding!”

”I...”

Yu Haijiang felt like dying!

Damn it, it was just his loose tongue, why did he have to tell Qin Yu about the new batch of living supplies?

”Those blankets are meant for the Seventh Company!”

”If the Seventh Company’s blankets go missing, it’ll definitely cause an uproar!”

”You should know, the Seventh Company is a hero company of the Luo City Military Region!”

”Moreover, the quality of the Seventh Company’s soldiers far exceeds that of Southern Sword!”

”Just that as a hero company, it shouldn’t be reclassified as a special force.”

”So, the Seventh Company has always maintained the title of a regular unit.”

”’What do you mean what?’ Zhang Chao, take your men and move the bedding!”

Qin Yu didn’t care whether Yu Haijiang had a hard time or not; he only cared about whether his own soldiers could sleep well!

”Southern Sword, follow me!”

Although he had just been chewed out, Zhang Chao now felt refreshed!

This Chief Instructor completely disregarded convention, which was to his liking!

”Yes!”

The Southern Sword soldiers howled in unison, following Zhang Chao to the logistics department’s warehouse!

Without caring for the warehouse staff’s attempts to stop them, they picked up the blankets and left!

Qin Yu paid no attention to the cadets moving the blankets. Instead, he leisurely walked around the warehouse to see if Yu Haijiang had deceived him.

After a round of inspection, Qin Yu realized Yu Haijiang hadn’t played him; there really were no better weight-bearing equipment in the warehouse.

What to do?

Can’t do without weight training equipment, can we? Seventh Company, huh?

Sorry about that.

Half an hour later, the quarters of the Southern Sword Special Brigade were transformed. The new bedding was soft to the touch, definitely made of the highest quality space cotton!

One could imagine how great it must feel to sleep on it!

The atmosphere in all the dormitories was lively as everyone talked about their Chief Instructor.

”I nearly died laughing just now! To see Minister Yu’s face turning the color of liver! It’s the first time I’ve encountered such an instructor! I’m starting to look forward to our future life!”

”Yeah! Damn, that felt good. I heard those blankets were prepared for the Seventh Company! Those jerkoffs from the Seventh Company, thinking they’re so great because they’re a hero company, have never taken Southern Sword seriously! This time, we’ve got to show them.”

Female soldiers’ dormitory.

Several female soldiers surrounded Yang Bingbing and Zhou Feng, chattering nonstop with questions.

”Bingbing, elder sister, tell us about it. What was our instructor like before? He was so dominating just now! He kept Minister Yu under so much pressure he hardly dared to breathe.”

A hint of nostalgia flashed across Yang Bingbing’s face, ”Our Chief Instructor is very protective of us. Being his students is our good fortune!”

”Oh my, elder sister Bingbing is blushing! Do you have a crush on the Chief Instructor, Bingbing?”

”You little brat, asking for a beating!”

...

The girls were in the midst of fun when Qin Yu’s voice came from below: ”Is your interior duty finished? As soon as the interior duty is done, come down and assemble immediately!”

Whoosh!

All the trainees ran down from the dormitories at top speed, their faces flush with excitement, failing to conceal the joy at the corners of their mouths.

Seeing the genuine admiration and warmth in the eyes of his team members looking at him, Qin Yu felt gratified; everything he had done was worth it!

Qin Yu looked around the group and said in a deep voice, ”Without good weight training equipment, it’ll be difficult to improve your physical strength in a short time! What do you think we should do?”

”Report to the Chief Instructor! I suggest we immediately submit an application to the General Staff Headquarters!”

Qin Yu curled his lip, ”The General Staff Headquarters? How efficient can they be? By the time the General Staff discusses it and approves it, our special training will already be over, right? Any other better ideas?”

Zhou Feng stepped forward, ”Report to the Chief Instructor, I can arrange to borrow a set of weight-bearing equipment from Dragon Group!”

At this news, everyone’s eyes shone bright; Dragon Group’s equipment!

If they could use it in advance, the chances of being selected for Dragon Group would be even greater!

Without hesitation, Qin Yu dismissed the idea.

”Dragon Group? If the other three major special forces find out, they will definitely see Dragon Group as being unfair! That’s absolutely not acceptable!”
