Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1443: Chapter 127: Absolute Kill_3

”There is still a solution, we are hiding a fighter group in the obstacle area, right? As long as we contract the line, and let the fighter group assault, even if we can’t win, we can always escape.”

”Exactly, General Tian has been holding onto this card without using it. When does he plan to use it? Is he waiting for the Jiepeng people’s fighter group to assault before deploying it?”

The senior strategists mutter helplessly, staring blankly at the SkyNet screen.

Suddenly, their gaze solidifies.

On the screen, three Jiepeng sub-fleets, after feigning an attack and coordinating with other fleets to push away the bandit army’s sub-fleets, suddenly make a high-speed insertion towards the left flank.

This is...

A colonel strategist abruptly stands up, pointing in shock at the right side of the screen.

There, not far from the obstacle area, the Jiepeng battleship main formation, which had been providing fire support to the Central Combat Zone, has moved to the right flank of the bandit army battleship cluster under the cover of its destroyer and cruiser group!

Seeing this, everyone directs their attention towards the Central Command Platform...

Absolute Kill!

Auben hits the send key on the tactical computer keyboard, transmitting an instruction to the entire fleet, and breathes a sigh of relief. Touching his vest, he finds that his uniform, unknowingly, is already soaked in cold sweat.

What’s the name of the opposing commander?

This question circles in Auben’s mind, making him a bit restless.

Even though the Dragon Rider Fleet has been suppressing the opponent throughout the nearly hour-long battle, Auben knows that this is undoubtedly a battle he will never forget.

The reason isn’t that the opposing commander has terrifying command skills or ferocious tactics. All the pressure comes from one thing: the insane growth speed of the opposing commander. If not for the fact that the overall situation is now fixed, Auben isn’t even sure he can handle the opponent’s increasingly refined tactical implementation and command methods!

Auben quietly reflects.

Initially, this unknown commander seemed to rely solely on his powerful strategist system to support his command. He directed the fleet to constantly change routes, cross-coordinate, set traps, and seek gaps for insertion and segmentation. In this aspect, he has basically grasped the essence of strangulation tactics.

However, his experience seems lacking, and his command skills still somewhat immature.

Whenever his traps take shape, or a fleet is about to complete a lethal insertion, Auben can always preempt him with a blockade or counterattack. Besides his years of experience playing a decisive role, more importantly, his fleet is far more familiar with this combat method and far more coordinated than the opponent’s fleet.

Yet as the battle proceeds, the opponent seems to be getting into the swing of things.

His attacks become increasingly fierce, his reactions faster. Before several of Auben’s coordinated fleet maneuvers are completed, the opponent anticipates and evades them. He even nearly surrounded Auben’s sub-fleet when Auben tried to use the time difference to eliminate one of his sub-fleets.

At that time, Auben couldn’t even discern how those four sub-fleets managed to break free from the successive entanglements by Auben’s fleet.

But unfortunately, everything is over now. Awaiting this talented Feiyang commander is merciless obliteration. Because he still doesn’t understand that when a python captures prey, strangulation is only a step before the final devouring. True strangulation tactics must be built on the foundation of an Absolute Kill!

Auben’s Absolute Kill was ambushed from the start.

Back then, the opponent’s left-wing sub-fleets had one dashing too fast and another trailing too slowly. This created a wonderful gap. When the Lightning Falcon Sub-fleet plunged into this gap, to prevent the front fleet from being bitten on the tail, the opponent could only accelerate the front fleet while using the trailing fleet to confront.

Thus, the fleet that dashed too fast was tangled into the left-wing battle group, unable to build sufficient forces near the main formation region on the left flank, while the fleet trailing too slowly was forced to engage the Lightning Falcon Fleet, preventing him from expanding his defense zone.

Not far from the main formation, pinning him with a sub-fleet was like placing a chess piece. This piece, when Auben forced the battle group leftward through middle-path strangulation and used the main formation to maneuver close enough to his main formation right flank, turned into a ticking time bomb!

Now, Auben’s battleship main formation is on the opponent’s right flank, and on the left flank, three destroyer fleets are making high-speed insertions forward.

It is an open area. Like a team with its forwards pressed in the penalty box can only watch helplessly as the opponent’s defenders charge from afar.

Left and right, at this distance, it is an Absolute Kill.

The fighters, not released earlier due to the distance, have already gathered and are on standby, ready to deploy within minutes.

Now is the time.

”God says, I give you a body, keep it clean. I give you food, cherish it. I give you light, always cleanse your mind, be grateful, and lead others to be as devout as you...”

Auben opens the scripture, beginning his prayer.

——————————————————————————————

On the command platform, silence reigns.

The generals tightly clench their fists, eyes fixed intently on the SkyNet screen.

Three thousand kilometers to the right of the main formation, the Jiepeng battleship main formation is about to reach firing position. Six space carriers are gradually releasing fighters. Two thousand kilometers behind them, the cosmic dust of the obstacle area reflects the light of the constant star, like a white cloud on the horizon.

”What are we waiting for?” Carl’s voice trembles slightly.

A signal cuts across the void.

”Gentlemen, it’s our turn! See their derrière, that’s our target!” A strange yell erupts in the communication channel.

After an earth-shattering cheer, a Feiyang Space Fighter shoots first out of the white and misty obstacle area.

The lone fighter rolls in the air.

Behind it, countless space fighters, like hundreds of lightning bolts tearing through the void, break through the clouds.

Five thousand characters, consider this as two Chapters merged. This Chapter was overly complex earlier, was revamped and rewritten, and still feels inadequate, but there’s simply no time left, I still owe a thousand words.
