Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 351: After modification: Volume 5 Chapter 4 Fatal Flaw

At the moment when everyone was at a loss, Oberto was the first to understand. He jumped up suddenly and shouted, ”Damn it, everyone run!” Before he finished speaking, he had already dashed out like a streak of smoke.

The Freedom Fighters woke up as if from a trance, jumped up one after another like a group of frightened rabbits, rushing downhill from the side of the position. Everyone exerted all their strength, tongues hanging out, eyes closed, chests puffed up, legs lifted high, running wildly. Some stumbled forward in threes and fours with their buttocks sticking out and limbs on the ground. There were all sorts of postures, heroism had long flown out of the window. Their legs spun like a whirlwind. The Desic and Mythical Army hadn’t come to their senses yet. They only saw a trail of dust rolling away. These rabbits had already scrambled halfway down the mountainside.

”Intercept them!” Seeing the sudden activation of the Freedom Front, Osullivan commanded sharply. He would never allow the main force of the Freedom Front to escape right in front of his eyes.

However, just as he finished speaking, a piercing blind tone erupted in the Mecha communication channel!

Osullivan’s heart sank. He understood that this meant there was a force with numbers not less than his own group hidden around him. Moreover, because the previous target was those Freedom Fighters without any electronic equipment, his Electronic Company had not been activated. The insidious enemy had calculated everything, and at this critical moment, seized electronic control!

”Damn it!” Osullivan grabbed the Mecha loudspeaker, about to issue orders in plain language, when he heard ”Boom!” ”Boom!” Two loud explosions. Two energy bullets exploded among the Mecha Group and the rear main formation.

”Enemy attack! Enemy attack!”

With the grassroots commander’s terrifying shout, a Leray Mecha Group suddenly appeared on the hillside of the Mythical Mecha Group’s flank, without any pause, surging down like a tide, piercing through the seam between the main force of the Mythical Second Group and the attacking unit!

”Form the left flank!” A Mythical Army battalion commander yelled bitterly. Before he finished speaking, several more Energy Bullets screamed into the Mecha Group. On the right-side forest, another Leray Mecha Group suddenly charged out at high speed, sweeping in like a whirlwind.

”Form the formation!” Osullivan shouted frantically, ”Front team retreat! Form the defensive formation!”

It was too late. In an instant, countless energy cannons rained down on the tight attack formation of the Mythical Army. Facing the Freedom Front’s position, with the Mythical Mecha losing unified command, chaos ensued. Under this fierce attack, some people followed Osullivan’s orders while others tried to turn around to directly face the incoming enemy. The entire formation was torn into pieces by attacks from left and right in one instant.

”3rd Battalion, 4th Battalion! Engage!” Seeing that his forces were completely suppressed by enemy firepower, Osullivan shouted fiercely, ”Hold them back for me!”

Two Mecha Battalions, which always guarded the regimental headquarters, responded by moving towards the wings of their front team, trying to establish a buffer barrier before the enemy’s flank attack.

”Trying to stop us?” Rashid sneered, ”Second Battalion, cut them off! Third Battalion, close the door!”

The charging arrowhead of the wildly rushing Mecha Group suddenly split into three parts. One headed straight towards the enemy’s blocking forces trying to break into the advance route. One continued to slaughter towards the Mythical Army’s front team along the original direction. The middle part swiftly attacked the rear of the Myth attack unit!

At the same time, as the first group changed formation, the rushing second group immediately made the same adjustment.

”Charge through!” Osullivan’s eyes were tearing. These cunning Leray people had conducted meticulous planning. They not only attacked when the Mythical Army was utterly unprepared but also calculated their reactions and deployed targeted measures! Both timing and opportunities were controlled with exceptional precision! They achieved maximum operational advantage while also giving the Freedom Front space and opportunity to escape!

”Boom! Boom! Boom!”

The Rogue Mecha Group didn’t give the enemy any time to react. Running wildly, the fierce artillery fire didn’t stop for a moment but intensified. Violent explosions continuously erupted among the chaotic Mecha formations of the Mythical Army’s First and Second Battalions, throwing countless Mecha limbs into the sky with enormous shockwaves.

Some Mechas completely destroyed exploded in a secondary explosion, adding a bloody touch to the terrifying scene. The intense white light swept away all the surrounding air in an instant. The sky turned snow-white, then flame-red like blood soared into the sky, carrying dust and smoke, billowing upwards. Only then did the sound return to the ground, accompanying the furious white light, sweeping horizontally across the land, causing the entire world to tremble with fear!

The giant iron palms of the Mecha roared like thunder during the high-speed charge, the ground trembling beneath their feet. Four torrents of steel rushed forward with irresistible terror, surging like tidal waves.

”Kill!” With an impassioned shout, the Mechas from both sides collided like a mad herd of rhinos at the battlefield’s center, explosive as a Level 10 earthquake. Hundreds of Mechas twisted together instantly, transforming, exploding, and being annihilated in unavoidable collisions. The sky collapsed, the sun and moon lost their light. This was no longer a battlefield but a bloody and chaotic hell!
