Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1807: Zhang Fei Vs Shang Zhanluo I

Shang Luohu and Shang Zhui took a serious look at Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan, discovering that both women were demon gods like Shang Zhanluo. However, they had never known about any other demon gods besides the existing ten, which made them curious about the two women’s races and origins.

”You don’t need to thank me.” Zhang Fei paused for a brief moment. ”Honestly, I helped you because I have another purpose, and I came here today to discuss that matter with you.”

Shang Zhanluo momentarily raised an eyebrow. ”Did you come here to discuss your relationship with my daughter?”

”Huh?” Zhang Fei was momentarily taken back before looking at Shang Luohu, who nodded to him. ”Do you want to meet your daughter?”

”Naturally!” Shang Zhanluo’s face turned excited and impatient. ”My wife already told me that you freed my daughter from Mo Shentian’s control, and she also told me that you trained her in your private place from then on. I haven’t seen her for a long time, so I hope you’re willing to bring her here.”

”Alright.” After his clone sent Shang Xueli into the Yin-Yang Space, Zhang Fei immediately opened the portal and let her out of it.

”Xueli!” Shang Zhanluo shouted as he hugged his beloved daughter, leaving Shang Xueli stunned for several seconds.

Shang Xueli turned to Zhang Fei with a questioning look, as his clone didn’t explain anything to her, so she didn’t expect that he would bring her to see her father.

After Zhang Fei nodded, Shang Xueli hugged Shang Zhanluo back, rubbing her face against her father’s chest like a kitten. ”Father, I missed you so much.”

”I missed you too, Xueli.” Shang Zhanluo hugged his daughter tighter. Even a powerful demon god like him couldn’t help but shed tears, feeling the warmth of his daughter’s body.

Gongsun Zhilan briefly glanced at them before whispering to Hua Qianmei. ’This asura demon god is much better than the one in our realm, right?’

’Yes,’ Hua Qianmei nodded slightly, but her expression turned annoyed when she remembered the Asura Demon God in the Ancient Realm. ’This man clearly loves his family, unlike Shang Jingyuan. That guy is so selfish, and he doesn’t hesitate to sacrifice his family members for his own interests. If I remember correctly, he handed his wife to Xing Zhixun because he was bored with her.’

Anger flashed in Gongsun Zhilan’s eyes. ’I’ve wanted to kill Shang Jingyuan for a long time, but he took the members of his race to a distant domain, and we’ve never seen each other since.’

’Forget it! We don’t need to care about him, and he won’t dare set foot in our domain again.’

’Yeah.’

After hugging his daughter for a while, Shang Zhanluo released Shang Xueli and rubbed her cheek. ”Please forgive me, Xueli. I’m a useless father, and I couldn’t do anything when Mo Shentian took you away back then. I’ve heard everything from your mother, and I’m so glad you’re finally free from that hell.”

”I never blame you for past events, Father.” Shang Xueli wiped her tears, shaking her head at her father. ”The most important thing is that I am free, and my life is much better now. Since Zhang Fei freed me from that hell, I’ve been training hard, and I can protect myself now.”

Shang Zhanluo looked at Zhang Fei with a grateful and heartfelt expression. If it weren’t for him, his daughter would still be under Mo Shentian’s control, and she would have suffered even more because of it.

Zhang Fei didn’t think much of it. ”Since you two are reunited now, it’s time we discussed my purpose in coming here.”

Shang Xueli’s face turned worried, as she could guess Zhang Fei’s reason for seeing her father today. She wanted to say something to him, but she hastily shut her mouth the moment their eyes met. ’Sigh! I hope they won’t fight to the death today.’

Shang Luohu walked to her husband and asked. ”Did you come here to ask us to join you?”

”Smart.” Shang Zhanluo and Shang Luohu exchanged glances, thinking that the day had finally arrived. ”At the moment, seven of the ten demon gods had already joined me, so—”

”What?” Shang Zhanluo and Shang Luohu screamed in shock at the same time.

”Since when did Sha Mo and Ku Shenzu join you?”

Zhang Fei created two qi screens that displayed two different images. One screen showed his actions towards Sha Mo and Sha Yuan, while the other showed his actions towards Ku Shenzu and Ku Biyun.

Shang Zhanluo and Shang Luohu were stunned when they saw the two qi screens, not expecting Zhang Fei to have defeated Sha Mo and Ku Shenzu.

Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan laughed at Shang Zhanluo’s and Shang Luohu’s shocked expressions. The two women were clearly stronger than the two asura demons, but Zhang Fei could easily handle them, let alone those demon gods from the Paradise Realm.

Shang Zhanluo took a deep breath. ”Zhang Fei, you saved my daughter and gave her a chance to develop herself, so I have no problem joining you. However, I need something from you, and I hope you’ll be willing to fulfill my request.”

”Tell me.”

”Please hand over Sha Mo to me.”

”I can’t fulfill your request.” Zhang Fei’s rejection made Shang Zhanluo frown. ”I can’t hand over Sha Mo to you because he is my future father-in-law.”

Truly bizarre! Shang Zhanluo and Shang Luohu find it hard to believe that Sha Mo is Zhang Fei’s future father-in-law.

Shang Xueli spoke to her parents directly. ”Father! Mother! All these years, I lived and trained with Sha Qingge, so Zhang Fei didn’t lie to you two.”

Shang Luohu didn’t mind if Zhang Fei didn’t want to hand over Sha Mo, but her husband was different. Shang Zhanluo held a grudge against the Heavenly Fiend Demon because of his actions several years ago.

Shang Zhanluo clenched his fist until both of them were red, and the muscles in his face also bulged out.

”For me, my family members are untouchable, and I will kill anyone who dares to touch them. If you want to get Sha Mo, you must fight and defeat me first.” Shang Xueli wanted to plead with Zhang Fei not to fight with her father, but Shang Luohu hurriedly stopped her and asked her not to interfere. ”By the way, you should be able to sense the power of these two female demon gods, and they are far stronger than you, even though the three of you have the same cultivation and demon rank. If you choose to fight me, you will probably die by my hands, and your family will mourn your death.”

Shang Zhanluo stole a glance at Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan, and he could see that both women were looking down on him, especially the latter.

”Would you like to try my poison?” Gongsun Zhilan asked with a playful smile. ”For years, no one has been immune to my poison, and I dare guarantee that you will die within seconds.”

Shang Zhanluo involuntarily shivered in fear upon hearing Gongsun Zhilan’s words. From their raw strength, he knew that she was much stronger than him, but he had never heard of her name or her abilities before. ”Can you two tell me about your origins?”

”What do you think about that?” Zhang Fei responded to Hua Qianmei with a shrug. ”I can tell you that neither of us are natives of this Paradise Realm, and our home is located in a higher realm.”

”The Ancient Realm.”

Shang Zhanluo and Shang Luohu looked at Shang Zhui, who had been silent all this time.

Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan also looked at Shang Zhui before turning their gazes to Zhang Fei. ”I haven’t told Old Zhui about the Ancient Realm, but his son, Tian Shuixiang, already knows that I went there.”

”I see.” Hua Qianmei and Gongsun Zhilan nodded in understanding.

Shang Xueli spoke to her parents again. ”Actually, I’ve been cultivating with Zhang Fei’s demon wives in their domain for over a month now, and the qi there is much stronger than here. Besides, there are more than twenty demon gods there, and these two seniors are two among them.”

”Husband.” Shang Zhanluo looked at his wife. ”I understand your feelings and your desire to take revenge on Sha Mo, but I think you should put that aside for the sake of greater interests, such as our daughter’s feelings.”

Shang Zhanluo looked at his daughter, and he could see her silent plea in her eyes. After thinking about it, he looked at Zhang Fei again. ”Fight me and defeat me.”

”Are you sure about that?”

”Yes.”

Zhang Fei nodded. ”Let’s go to the training area then.”

.

.

.

Zhang Fei and Shang Zhanluo were already standing opposite each other in the middle of the training ground.

”I know you’re strong, but you don’t need to hold back your strength, and I will use my best ability to spar with you.” After saying that, Shang Zhanluo used his Bloodline Awakening technique, which caused his strength to increase severalfold. His eyes turned bloody red, a blood-red aura enveloped his body, and strange symbols appeared on his skin.

Seeing that, Shang Xueli clasped her hands tightly; she was truly frightened that Zhang Fei and Shang Zhanluo would fight to the death.

Shang Luohu embraced her daughter, understanding the fear in her heart. ”Don’t worry, everything will be fine.”

”I hope they won’t kill each other, Mother.” Shang Xueli said with fear in her tone.

This time, Zhang Fei did not use the soul link, but he used the War God’s Berserk Method just like when he fought Shang Dongzhu seven months ago. A war god silhouette appeared behind him after he used the fifth sub-technique, the War God’s Descent. ”Let’s fight.”
