Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1588: Fighting Demons

Sha Huoran pointed to the Tower of Eternity. ”Prince Sha Mo, Ku Shan contacted me earlier and told me that they were already at the tower, and the people from the Divine Samsara Sect were also there. However, he also told me that they met Empress Huo there, and she seemed to be protecting the people from the Moonlit Passion Temple.”

”Oh?” Sha Huo turned to him. ”Is Empress Huo really there? I’ve heard that she protects the Moonlit Passion Temple, but I didn’t expect her to be in this domain.”

”Based on the information provided by Ku Shan, Empress Huo is indeed in the tower, Prince.”

”In that case, we have to go to the tower now to join them, and we will capture all the members of the Divine Samsara Sect.” Sha Huo immediately led them into the first area of the forest.

”Why do we have to capture those humans, Brother?” Sha Huo looked at his sister, Sha Qingge, and explained their father’s plan to her. ”Sigh! Why can’t our demon race ever be at peace? Why do we have to attack other races?”

Sha Qingge had a delicate oval face and large, almond-shaped eyes, with a slightly alluring gaze emanating from her dark brown pupils. She wore a sleeveless purple dress with gold decorative accents. Her long, dark brown hair cascades down her shoulders and back. She has a curvy yet well-proportioned figure. Her waist was slender. The neckline of her dress accentuated her slightly exposed big breasts. Her hips were soft and rounded, with long, slender legs.

Sha Huo embraced her shoulders. ”Qingge, I also want our demon race to be safe and peaceful, just like you. However, we both know that our lives will never be peaceful as long as human cultivators continue to hunt our members, especially those from the Divine Samsara Sect, who have killed so many of our race in the past. Besides, we have to face constant pressure from Mo Shentian, so we will capture them and use them as sacrifices against him and his race members.”

”Didn’t the people from the Divine Samsara Sect kill our demon race members because we attacked them first?” Sha Qingge asked. ”If our father hadn’t ordered his subordinates to attack their sect members, we would never have had a problem with them.”

The eight demons behind them shook their heads at Sha Qingge’s naivety, and Sha Huoran spoke to her directly. ”Princess, you are too naive about this matter.”

”Hmm?” Sha Qingge frowned at him.

Sha Huoran explained to her. ”The conflict between our demon and the human races is not solely due to your father’s ambition; it has persisted for a long time. In fact, our Heavenly Fiend Demon Race never attacked them before, and our race only cared about our personal affairs. They attacked us first and many members of our race died at their hands because they considered us heretic creatures. After they founded the Divine Samsara Sect, relations between the two races became increasingly worse. Since then, our demon gods from the past have vowed to destroy them, which makes the conflict between us continue until this era.”

”Princess, you may not believe it, but humans started the animosity between the two races.” Sha Qingge looked at an old female demon named Sha Minglan. ”Humans are the most selfish and greedy living creatures, and they will do anything to fulfill their ambitions, including suppressing other humans or other races. In fact, demons are not the only ones who hate humans, but all races really hate them, including beasts, demihumans, and natural races. As for the winged race, they are much worse than the human race, and they always attack us for unclear reasons, even though we don’t do anything bad.”

”Isn’t the enmity between demons and winged races based on an old story? If I remember correctly, it all started with the first ancestors of both races, right?”

”Yes.” Sha Huoran nodded to her. ”I myself don’t know the origins of the conflict between the demons and the winged races or its causes, but this enmity has existed since the time of our first ancestors, and it has been passed down to the present generation.”

”So, of all the races that exist now, our main enemy is the winged race, right?”

”That’s right.” Sha Huoran nodded to her. ”However, we cannot forget the Divine Samsara Sect, and they are our main enemy among the human race.”

”Then, why do we want to capture other humans who have no connection to the sect if they have no problem with us?”

”Princess.”

”Stop.” Sha Huoran stopped Sha Minglan when they arrived at the first area, and he looked around them. ”Come out! I can’t see you guys, but I know you’re all hiding here using your camouflage technique from your scents.”

Sha Minglan and the other six demons lined up and surrounded Sha Mo and Sha Qingge to protect them, as they also sensed the presence of dozens of people in the area.

”Haha.”

Sha Huoran and the others were alert after hearing the laughter, and they immediately mobilized their strength to face the unexpected attack.

Sha Huoran frowned when Zhang Fei [1], Fei Lian, and Yao Qilin appeared in front of them. ”Fei Lian and Yao Qilin, the Evil beast generals?”

”You seem to still remember me, Sha Huoran.” Yao Qilin said with a smile, causing the old male demon to shudder. ”Do you still remember our last fight a thousand years ago?”

”Tch.” Sha Huoran tightly clenched his jaw. ”What do you two want from us?”

”We don’t want anything from you.” Fei Lian pointed at Zhang Fei [1]. ”Our husband forbids you from going to the tower.”

Sha Huoran and the others looked at Zhang Fei [1], but they frowned because his cultivation was clearly far below that of the two evil beasts.

Sha Huo observed Zhang Fei [1] seriously, but he was certain they had never met before. Sha Qingge also looked at him, but she was confused because he was a weak human, yet the two female evil beasts addressed him as their husband.

Zhang Fei [1] activated his soul link and borrowed the strengths of other evil beasts in his beast space, increasing his strength to equal Sha Huoran’s.

Sha Huo and the others were completely shocked by Zhang Fei [1]’s increased strength, and they were even more shocked by the appearance of Feltia [2] not far from them, especially since the two were on par in strength.

”Brother,” Sha Qingge said as she hugged Sha Mo’s arm.

Sha Huo didn’t blame his sister for being afraid of them, as he himself was worried about his safety. Although there were eight powerful demons protecting them, Sha Huoran was the only one who could stand up to Zhang Fei [1] and the others. ”He must have used a special technique to increase his strength; otherwise, he wouldn’t have become so strong with his cultivation still at the Celestial Lord Realm.”

”Protect our prince and princess.” Sha Minglan and the others nodded to Sha Huoran, but they were not confident in facing Zhang Fei [1] and the other three. ”What do you mean by interfering in our business?”

Zhang Fei [1] disappeared from his spot, and Sha Huoran was sent flying quite far back in the next instant, shocking Sha Huo and the others.

Sha Huoran hurriedly kicked a large tree behind him to stop, but Zhang Fei [1] instantly appeared in front of him and launched an attack with his fist.

*Boom*

Sha Huoran slammed into the tree behind him after he blocked Zhang Fei [1]’s punch, which made both his hands numb. ’What a monster! What kind of technique did he use to increase his strength to surpass mine?’

Sha Huo and the others were shocked to see that, and they were even more shocked when Zhang Fei [1] reappeared and kicked Sha Huoran without him being able to dodge, sending him flying in the other direction.

”Shit!” Sha Huoran himself felt quite pained by Zhang Fei [1]’s two attacks just now, but he immediately transformed into his demon form, which made his strength increase even higher. ”I never thought I would have to use this form to face a human like you.”

Zhang Fei [1] jumped onto a tree branch behind him. ”Although your strength has increased significantly, my strength is still above yours. If you think I’m boasting, we can exchange blows now.”

”Heh! I’ll see how long you can use your strengthening technique!”

Sha Huoyan and Zhang Fei [1] moved simultaneously, and the two exchanged blows in midair.

*Boom*

”Gah!” Sha Huoyan rolled back several times after that, but he immediately stabilized himself and launched himself towards Zhang Fei [1] again. ”I will kill you, human!”

Quickly, Zhang Fei [1] and Sha Huoran fought in the air, but Sha Mo and the others could see that the former’s speed surpassed their grand elder’s.

”Brother.”

Sha Huo nodded to his sister. ”I wouldn’t have believed a human could match our grand elder’s strength if I hadn’t seen it for myself. Moreover, the human’s speed was incredible, and our grand elder could not keep up with it.”

”Prince, I will help our grand elder fight that human.” Sha Minglan moved towards them, but Feltia [2] instantly intercepted her and kicked her. ”Gah!”

Sha Minglan slid to the ground, but she quickly stabilized herself before hitting the ground. Feltia [2] instantly appeared in front of her, and he attacked her again.

With Feltia [2]’s speed, Sha Minglan couldn’t withstand his barrage attacks, making her an easy target for all his attacks. ”Argh!”

*Bam*

A loud explosion rang out as Sha Minglan was slammed into the ground with great force, causing her to spray a large amount of blood from her mouth. ”Cough... Cough...”
