Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1292: Evolution Start

”Back off!” Nalan Wangzi shouted to the women who were not demons and did not possess darkness elements as Zhang Fei’s darkness spread to the surrounding area, but several women with light elements protected them with their light domains.

Zhang Fei’s darkness did not spread around for too long, and it quickly shrank back into his body. Gradually, his demon soul also reverted to its normal state, but it underwent quite significant changes and became slightly different compared to the original.

Luo Yunxiao and the others could see that Zhang Fei’s demon soul had become more perfect, and his soul power had also increased, even though not too significantly.

”Is the change in my big brother’s soul due to the effects of the elixir?”

”Yes, you’re right.” Nalan Wangzi nodded to Zhang Lin as she watched Zhang Fei, who had already swallowed the Infernal Blood Core. ”His cultivation veins have expanded, the demon qi within his body has become much purer, and its quantity has also become more abundant. However, his demon soul has become stronger than his human or beast souls, and it might become a problem for him because the balance between the three has collapsed.”

”Will Fei’er’s demon soul control his other two souls?”

”I can’t say for sure yet.” Nalan Wangzi answered Zhang Chen with a shake of her head. ”For now, we can only wait until Zhang Fei completes his ascension process, and we will get the answer at that time.”

They became tense as soon as Zhang Fei’s body turned red due to the effects of the Infernal Blood Core, which had melted and flowed through his bloodstream. His expression also looked so painful as it began to temper his flesh and bones, causing his muscles to bulge out from all over his body.

”How long will he be in a situation like this?” Zhang Yue asked Nalan Wangzi and clasped her hands together, as she was worried about Zhang Fei’s condition.

”Hmm?” Nalan Wangzi thought for a moment. ”Every demon needs a different amount of time to complete this stage, so I can’t predict how long Zhang Fei will be in this state. Back then, it took me several hours for the process to complete, and it got more painful as it neared the final phase.”

Zhang Yue sighed inwardly, but she knew that Zhang Fei was strong, so she believed he would make it through the process well. However, she still had other concerns, particularly about how he might change after his next evolution. ’Fei’er, I hope you will never change, and I hope you continue to be like you are now.’

In the end, Zhang Fei spent ten hours going through the process, and all his wives were finally able to calm down after his condition returned to normal. However, they became tense again once he took the Abyssal Demon Heart, and they were worried about what would happen in the process, mainly because of the Cursed Demon Heart in his body.

Just like them, Zhang Fei himself was hesitant and worried about using the Abyssal Demon Heart, but he had no choice but to use it, or his demon rank would never advance to the Seven Supreme Demon Ranks.

Nalan Wangzi wanted to stop Zhang Chen, who decided to approach Zhang Fei. However, Qing Yi, Zhang Yue, and Zhang Lin asked the female demon not to stop her because they fully understood her feelings for him. He was the most important part of her life, and she was also the most important part of his life.

Zhang Chen sat behind Zhang Fei, hugged him from behind, pressed her palm to his heart area, and whispered to him. ’Fei’er, I’m here with you, so you don’t need to hesitate anymore and use the Abyssal Demon Heart now. If anything happens to you, I will save you again.’

Zhang Chen’s hug and words gave Zhang Fei a feeling of calm, and he immediately used the Abyssal Demon Heart. His Cursed Demon Heart suddenly beat rapidly, and several black threads shot out from his chest before enveloping the Abyssal Demon Heart, pulling it into his body.

”Ugh!” Zhang Fei groaned softly as he felt the changes in his Cursed Demon Heart, and his darkness quickly enveloped him and Zhang Chen.

Zhang Fei wanted to push Zhang Chen away, but she hugged him tightly and had no intention of letting him go, even though his darkness was starting to have an effect on her. ’Fei’er, don’t worry about me, and I will accompany you through this process. Even if I have to become a demon for it, I will never let you go.’

Zhang Fei finally gave in as he endured the pain from the activity of his Cursed Demon Heart, and he could feel that his heart was devouring the Abyssal Demon Heart, as Nalan Wangzi had previously predicted.

The process didn’t take long, and the Abyssal Demon Heart began to merge with Zhang Fei’s Cursed Demon Heart, causing his darkness to become thicker and darker.

Behind Zhang Fei, Zhang Chen’s face began to look pale, and some parts of her body also began to turn black due to Zhang Fei’s darkness.

Zhang Chen ignored her own condition and continued to hug Zhang Fei, but she felt relieved when she felt her heartbeat begin to stabilize, though not completely.

A few hours later, the Abyssal Demon Heart had merged with Zhang Fei’s Cursed Demon Heart, but he felt that his heart had become slightly larger than its original size, and all the demon qi in his body was rapidly flowing into it.

Soon, Zhang Fei’s darkness disappeared completely, but Zhang Chen’s condition wasn’t so good. Nalan Wangzi immediately moved and pulled her away from him, and she devoured the remaining darkness in her body, allowing it to return to its original state.

”Thank you.”

”I know you love my brother-in-law very much, but you were too reckless in doing that. Fortunately, his darkness didn’t affect you much, or your condition would have been much worse than this.” Zhang Chen smiled at Nalan Wangzi before closing her eyes.

Qing Yi and Zhang Lin immediately lifted Zhang Chen to his feet, supported her, and carried her to her room to rest.

Nalan Wangzi observed Zhang Fei, who was holding the Demon Ritual Sigil. ”The final process.”

As soon as Zhang Fei activated the Demon Ritual Sigil using his demonic Qi, a giant black gate appeared before him, and Nalan Wangzi immediately ordered all the women to move away from the gate.

Moments later, the black gate opened by itself, and the temperature throughout the pavilion dropped drastically due to the demonic aura emanating from it.

They couldn’t see anything exiting the gate, but Zhang Fei could sense something invisible rapidly entering his body, carrying him into midair. Since Nalan Wangzi had explained everything to him beforehand, he immediately realized that it was the demon laws. However, he felt that they were much different compared to all the elemental laws he had mastered before, and they were more sinister, bolstering his demon qi and heart.

Zhang Fei hurriedly calmed himself down and tried to understand the demon laws, and all his clones also did the same with his original body to speed up his understanding of them.

The female demons who witnessed the process from the beginning seemed eager for their demon rank to break through to the Seven Supreme Demon Ranks. Unfortunately, their numbers were too numerous, and the materials needed to break through were difficult to find. They believed Zhang Fei would help them, but they also knew he wouldn’t be able to help them that quickly, so they could only patiently wait.

Several more hours passed, and Zhang Fei and all his clones finally successfully comprehended the demon laws. The black gate disappears on its own, signaling the end of the process.

[Ding]

[Congratulations! The host’s demon rank has been upgraded to the Demon Monarch Rank.]

[The host’s demon form evolution will begin.]

[Do you want to evolve into a lust demon monarch now?]

’Do it!’

[Ding.]

[The host’s demon form evolution process has begun.]

A bloody red cocoon instantly engulfed Zhang Fei’s body, and it floated into midair as his demon power steadfastly increased, making all the women present breathe a sigh of relief. However, they could see many strange symbols on its surface, which was much different from when he evolved into the transcendent lust demon.

”How long will he take to complete his evolution process, Big Sis Wangzi?” Xia Xianqin asked. ”As I recall, he spent two months when he evolved into the transcendent lust demon in the past, and Aunt Changyue accompanied him in the cocoon during the process.”

”Hey! I didn’t intend to accompany him at the time, and he kidnapped me.” Xian Changyue shook her head.

”Haha.” Xian Xianqin laughed at that. ”Even so, you enjoyed yourself during that time, right, Aunt?”

”Uhm.” Xian Changyue shyly nodded. ”That time was the first time I did such a thing with a man, and he overwhelmed me for two whole months.”

Nalan Wangzi immediately spoke to them. ”I don’t know how long it will take for his evolution to complete, but it took me a full year for my evolution to complete back then.”

”Big Sis, what does a lust demon monarch actually look like?” Orith, Ilsath, and Yun Kexin simultaneously asked because they were lust demons like Zhang Fei, but they had never heard of or seen a lust demon that surpassed the transcendent one.
