Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1244: Huang Xiaoyi’s Story

”Are you surprised?” Gong Wei nodded to Zhang Fei [5]. ”I’ve known Helian Xun’er since I was still in the Three Mortal Realms, and she’s helped me a lot with my affairs there. During my sect’s opening ceremony, she came to me, and she’s lived with me ever since.”

Zhang Fei [5]’s confession made Gong Wei smile strangely. ”Why don’t you try approaching Beiming Youhuang? She’s prettier and stronger than Helian Xun’er, right?”

”I dislike her attitude.” Zhang Fei [5] told Gong Wei some things regarding his first arrival in the Paradise Realm. ”Usually, I would do something to someone like her, but I have no interest in her despite her beauty and strength. By the way, I’ll be leaving now, and I want your sect members to cultivate more diligently. Once I activate the device, they can go to the Blazing Union Sect to cultivate.”

Gong Wei nodded at him. ”After this, I will summon them, and I will inform them about everything.”

Since Zhang Chen and the others were still enjoying their time at the Spring Breeze Pavilion, and the sect was dominated by women, Zhang Fei [5] decided to leave them there. He left Chi Yao in the domain specifically to protect them, so he doesn’t need to worry about their safety.

Thereafter, Zhang Fei [5] went to the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary to meet his parents-in-law, and he asked Huang Xiaoyi for help in inviting Beiming Youhuang because he wanted to go to the Falling Star Domain.

Instead of contacting Beiming Youhuang, Huang Xiaoyi decided to accompany Zhang Fei [5] to the Falling Star Domain. However, they didn’t go straight to that domain, and she took him to the Huang Clan first because her family wanted to meet him.

They didn’t spend much time at the Huang Clan, and Huang Xiaoyi took Zhang Fei [5] away after she introduced him to the others, especially her parents, who were also his grandparents-in-law.

After they arrived at the domain, Huang Xiaoyi asked Zhang Fei [5] to take her to the Xing Clan because the clan’s location was too far from the gate.

With his speed and movement techniques, it was not difficult for Zhang Fei [5] to bring Huang Xiaoyi to the clan residence. She then led him to the clan because they had to ask the patriarch of the clan for permission to go to the entrance to the Star Tower, which was located far behind their clan.

”What brings you to my clan today, Huang Xiaoyi?” An old man suddenly appeared in front of them before glancing at Zhang Fei [5]. ”So, this is the famous young man who caused a commotion in the Moon Illusion Domain with his breakthrough years ago, right?”

Although the old man asked in a calm voice, Zhang Fei [5] could sense that he was trying to suppress him with dominance. He silently activated the soul connect and borrowed the power of several evil beasts in his beast space, reversing the old man’s dominance.

The old man was shocked when Zhang Fei [5] activated the soul connect, especially because it increased his strength significantly.

”Senior, we didn’t come to look for trouble, and we just wanted to go to the Star Tower to see Wan Jiang.” Zhang Fei [5] then took out the plaque that Li Tianyu gave him on the day of his sect’s opening ceremony.

The old man was a little surprised to see that. ”I’ve heard about you and the Moonlit Passion Sect, but I didn’t expect you to also be part of the Emerald Bamboo Sect, kid.”

”Honestly, our relationship hasn’t been established for long, but Senior Tianyu and Senior Yueru gave this plaque to me as a sign of our new relationship.” Zhang Fei [5] placed the plaque back into his system storage. ”I hope you will be willing to allow us to go to the Star Tower to meet him.”

The old man nodded slightly. ”Wan Jiang is part of the Emerald Bamboo Sect, so I will take you there, and you can meet him inside the tower.”

”Thank you.” Despite this, Zhang Fei [5] increased his vigilance toward the old man, especially after he checked his soul and found some rotten things in it. ’I don’t want to have any problems with you, but you seem to have other thoughts toward me. You should forget your bad intentions, or I will destroy your Xing Clan right here and right now.’

The old man first contacted some of his clan members, and he then accompanied Zhang Fei [5] and Huang Xiaoyi to the location of the entrance to the Star Tower.

On the way there, Huang Xiaoyi warned Zhang Fei [5] to be careful of the old man, who was none other than one of the ancestors of the Xing Clan, Xing Haoran. ’He looks kind on the outside, but he is no less cunning than Jia Zizhen, and he will not hesitate to use dirty means to achieve his desires. If you reveal too much of your advantages in front of him, he will inevitably become jealous of you, and he will target you. If that happens, you will get more enemies, and all of them will trouble you.’

’I understand, mother-in-law.’ Zhang Fei [5] could have gone to the Nine Stars Realm and entered the Star Tower through that realm, but he thought it would only be detrimental to him if he returned to the Three Mortal Realms. Furthermore, he had a guess about something related to his quests in the tower, so he decided to go there through the Paradise Realm to prove his guess. ’Does this old man know Yunxiao’s identity?’

Huang Xiaoyi shook her head slightly. ’Your father and I used a disguise on her, so this old man still doesn’t know that she is our daughter. I’m sure he’ll find out someday, but it doesn’t matter as long as he doesn’t know her special physique.’

’That’s true.’ Zhang Fei [5] nodded in agreement. ’Mother-in-law, who exactly attacked you in the past? You two were forced to flee to the Three Mortal Realms in the past, so I thought they were stronger than the Immortal Lotus Sanctuary.’

Huang Xiaoyi sighed softly. ”The ones who attacked us back then were heretics from the Stygian Dusk Domain, and they were the mortal enemies of our ancestors. One of them was the Dusk Pavilion, and that sect was the polar opposite of our Immortal Lotus Sanctuary. In fact, the Dark Tower is located in that domain, but they can’t get close to it because Tianshi Bailong used a special barrier to prevent them from entering.’

’So, the people from that domain are darkness cultivators, right? Was there any trouble between the two sects in the past?’

Huang Xiaoyi nodded at him. ’Although they aren’t demons, they are all darkness cultivators, and many cultivators in this realm hate them. In the past, our ancestors killed some of their ancestors, and we’ve been mortal enemies ever since. That day, your father and I were on our way back from another domain, but Linghu Minghua suddenly appeared and surrounded us with several people from other dark sects. They closed our access to return to our domain, and they ganged up on us. Luckily, our location was close to one of the tunnels leading to the Three Mortal Realms, so we escaped there.’

’Were they not chasing you two back then?’

’At first, we thought they would chase us, but we didn’t see any of them.’ Zhang Fei [5] raised an eyebrow slightly in response to Huang Xiaoyi’s answer. ’When we arrived there, we discovered that I was pregnant. Therefore, we chose to hide there, and we searched for the furthest planet until we arrived at Earth. As for the rest of the story, you surely still remember it.’

Zhang Fei [5] nodded at her. ’Did they not notice your return to this realm?’

’At first, they didn’t realize our return.’ Huang Xiaoyi released a soft sigh before continuing. ’When we decided to return to this realm, we searched for the safest route, and we arrived at the Peach Garden Domain. We met an old friend there, and he helped us return to our sect. Since then, we entered into seclusion to increase our strength, and our ancestors used many things to help us reach our current level. In the end, they realized that we were back, and they tried to attack us several times, but we managed to repel them and kill some of them.’

’I see.’ Zhang Fei [5] wanted to ask again, but Xing Haoran suddenly landed in an area, which was the location of the entrance to the Star Tower.

They followed the old man to land there, and Xing Haoran then spoke to them. ”You two can go in by yourselves, and I won’t accompany you.”

”Thank you, Senior.” Zhang Fei [5] turned to Huang Xiaoyi, who nodded before the two entered the portal.

Shortly, two people appeared behind Xing Haoran, and one of them informed him. ”Ancestor, I’ve contacted Linghu Minghua, and he will be here soon.”

”That’s good.” Xing Haoran nodded in satisfaction. ”A few years ago, Huang Xiaoyi came here with Luo Fenghan and several of their ancestors, so I didn’t contact Linghu Minghua. However, she’s alone with that brat now, so we must capture her today, and we’ll force her husband to surrender.”
