Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 709: Meeting

A while later, they arrived at a hill on a deserted island. Although Zhang Fei [5] did not see anything there, the map showed an entrance. Han Yuanzhi immediately took out a talisman and activated it, causing a transparent barrier to appear before their eyes.

ʼCompared to the formation in Shang Xiaoyinʼs secret place, this formation is nothing.ʼ Zhang Fei [5] muttered in his heart as he followed them until they arrived at a large room with a large stone table and stone chairs inside.

Once they had gathered around the stone table, Bai Zizhen immediately inquired. ”So, what are your detailed plans? Are we going to fight Huangfu Shou openly?”

”Do you really think we can do that?” Bai Zizhen frowned at Zhang Fei [5]. ”Please be patient; Iʼll explain everything after the others arrive.”

”The others?”

Zhang Fei [5] then opened several portals at once, and several people emerged from them. They were Xian Feng, Shi Qingzhuang, Yun Shang, and Guo Xuehua.

After he closed them, Zhang Fei [5] opened another portal, through which two unexpected people emerged.

ʼThis kid! How did he manage to call forth the Elf Emperor and Empress?ʼ Bai Zizhen, Bai Shushi, Xiong Ningwu, Kong Heng, Tu Shen, Linghu Xiaoting, and Linghu Shiwei wondered in their hearts.

At first, Zhang Fei [5] was unsure whether Xian Lianghua and Xue Jingling would be willing to join them, especially since they disliked humans. However, he tried to contact them, and to his surprise, they accepted his invitation. ”Letʼs wait for some other people.”

”Who else are we waiting for?” Xiong Ningwu asked him.

Zhang Fei [5] just smiled and looked out. ”Theyʼre here.”

Soon, five people walked in, and those clan leaders immediately recognized four of them. However, they did not recognize Feng Yao, who was leading them.

The seven individuals experienced a fresh wave of shock. ʼWhat the hell? How could he summon the Beast Emperor and Empress? Who is the woman in front of them?ʼ

Zhang Fei [5] deliberately sent Feng Yao to the Beast Kingdom to invite Long Huang and Long Baiyun. After all, their kingdom would also experience problems if cultivators from the Grand Royal Realm really came to their realm, especially when they took action against Huangfu Shou.

Bai Zizhen and the leaders of those clans felt pressured by their presence, especially since the auras of Long Huang, Long Baiyun, Xian Lianghua, and Xue Jingling were too strong for them despite their equal cultivation.

”Brother!” Long Tian and Long Chen shouted as they ran to Zhang Fei [5], who had already stood up from his seat. ”We waited for you in our kingdom, but you never came. However, we didnʼt expect that you would send Senior Feng Yao to us, and here we are now.”

”Two princes, I still have to deal with many problems on this island, so I havenʼt had time to go to your kingdom.” Zhang Fei [5] then turned to Long Huang and Long Baiyun. ”Thank you for accepting my invitation, Emperor Long and Empress Long.”

”Haha.” Long Huang laughed and moved to Zhang Fei [5]ʼs side. ”Iʼve been wanting to meet you for a long time, and we finally meet now. Actually, I wanted to spar with you, but it seems like we canʼt do it now, especially since we have more important problems.”

”Old Long, your brain is only filled with fighting.” If someone else had said that, Long Huang would have been furious, and he would have attacked directly. However, it was Xian Lianghua who made the statement, to which he only responded with a wide grin. ”I believe this is the first time weʼve all come together in one place, correct?”

”If it werenʼt for Zhang Fei, we would never have gathered like this, Emperor Lianghua.” Yun Shang and the others agreed with Xian Feng. ”Now that weʼre all together, we can start our discussion.”

Zhang Fei [5] then turned to Feng Yao and Shang Yumei, who immediately explained to those people about the strength of the Huangfu Clan from the Grand Royal Realm, which made their expressions turn extremely serious.

”Can we face them if they come here?” Yun Shang posed the question in a serious tone.

”The level difference between cultivators from the middle and upper realms is too big, so you guys have no chance of winning against them, especially since the cultivation of the strongest among them is in the 1-Moon Divine Ascendant Realm.” Feng Yaoʼs answer caused all of them to take a deep breath. ”Even if that person doesnʼt come to this realm in person, many people from his clan can crush you guys easily. Therefore, we must exercise extreme caution when dealing with Huangfu Shou, particularly considering their periodic visits to this realm. If they know that their clan membersʼ situation is at stake, they will immediately attack all the residents of this realm.”

”So what can we do to prevent that from happening?” Xue Jingling asked.

Xian Lianghua directly added to his wifeʼs words. ”After all, you guys wonʼt stop until you can get rid of Huangfu Shou, and your actions will affect the future of this realm.”

”Actually, my and Shang Yumeiʼs presence in this realm can provide a deterrent against them, especially since they wouldnʼt dare go against our Phoenix and Shang Clans.” Despite Feng Yaoʼs statement, Long Huang and Yang sensed that the situation would not be as simple as it seemed. Unfortunately, the Huangfu Clan has too many crazy people and many clans under them who are willing to die for them, so they will fight us no matter what. Moreover, they have many branch clans in many realms, and they can escape whenever they want.”

”My Shang Clan is indeed strong, but the situation there is not as peaceful as you imagine, so I cannot ask for their help.” Shang Yumei then turned to Zhang Fei [5]. ”My husband could mobilize some people who were stronger than Huangfu Shouʼs ancestors, but it was too risky and would blow his disguise, and other powerful cultivators might come to this realm to hunt him down.”

ʼStronger cultivators? How far is his connection actually?ʼ All of them wondered as they looked at Zhang Fei [5].

Zhang Fei [5] then spoke to them. ”Honestly, it doesnʼt matter if my cover is blown, and I just need to start everything from scratch. However, things will become more and more difficult for me, especially since my enemies are much stronger than the Huangfu Clan. Even the Shang and Phoenix Clans wouldnʼt dare to face them head-on, so I have to think things through carefully.”

”Who are your main enemies?” Long Huang asked.

Zhang Fei [5] sighed deeply before revealing the information to them. ”They are the ancestors of the Heavenly Fox Race, Tian Baitian and Tian Baixing, whose cultivation has already reached the 1-Moon Divine Ascension Realm.”

”Huh?” Long Huang, Long Baiyun, Xian Lianghua, and Xue Jingling were shocked when they heard that.

Long Baiyun then asked him. ”Arenʼt you a heavenly fox yourself? Why are they hostile to you?”

ʼWhat is a heavenly fox? Isnʼt he human? Why did Empress Long ask if he was a heavenly fox?ʼ After all, Bai Zizhen and the others were unfamiliar with Zhang Fei [5], so they lacked knowledge about his other identities.

”Empress Long, I am indeed a heavenly fox, but I am not one of them.” The four people looked at Zhang Fei [5] in confusion. ”In fact, I come from the lower realms, and they have already hunted me down once in my home realm. Fortunately, they only dispatched their younger generation during that period, and Feng Yao assisted me in stopping them. I am unable to delve into the specifics of our situation due to its complexity, as revealing too much could put all of you at risk.”

They chose not to delve deeper into the matter between Zhang Fei [5] and the fox race, as they lacked the ability to fight the heavenly fox.

Long Baiyun then asked him again. ”Then, what about your plans regarding Huangfu Shou?”

”Actually, I have already started my plan against Huangfu Shou, but I will not execute it openly.” Zhang Fei [5] then explained to them about Huangfu Ziyuan and Huangfu Lianʼs situation. ”Even though I am sure that the Huangfu Clan of the Grand Royal Realm will not know of my actions against them, I still invite all of you to gather at this place. This way, you guys know the detailed situation, and you can prepare for the worst if they see through my actions. If the situation is really urgent, I will use my last card to end everything. However, I have to take my family away from this realm after that, and we will hide in another realm. Otherwise, my enemies will come and destroy this realm, and countless people will suffer because of me.”

”Where would you go if that happened?” Xian Feng asked Zhang Fei [5], especially since he was his son-in-law. Unfortunately, he couldnʼt possibly leave his kingdom, or his kingdom would fall into chaos without a leader.

”I havenʼt thought about that possibility, so I still donʼt know my next destination. Perhaps Iʼll take my family to the upper realms directly, and weʼll hide on one of the planets there until my strength is sufficient to deal with my enemies.” Zhang Fei [5] then shifted their conversation to another topic. ”Anyway, I will postpone taking action against Huangfu Shou until Li Tiannan returns to this realm. Once I have dealt with him, I will proceed with my next plan. For the time being, I will concentrate on Zhou Xiaochuan and the Zhou Kingdom, and I will push Zhou Shenxin to succeed his father.”

”Are you sure your plan will go smoothly?” Guo Xuehua asked him. ”After all, people in the Zhou Kingdom look down on women, and they will definitely put up a hard fight against Zhou Shenxin.”

”Actually, you donʼt have to think about that, Empress Guo.” Zhang Fei [5] then told them. ”Currently, Zhou Xiaochuanʼs aides and Kong Zi are already under my control, and all his wives are in bad condition, so he is alone now. As for those nobles, I will use his subordinates to get rid of them if they really intend to fight, and I will reorganize the kingdom after they are gone.”

After Zhang Fei [5] said that, the atmosphere in the place became silent, and everyone stared at him in disbelief, especially because his actions were so quick and precise.

Zhang Fei [5] then spoke to Bai Zizhen and the others. I want you to check all the Bai Kingdom clans for now, as Iʼm afraid some support Huangfu Shou. To avoid bigger problems, you can get rid of those clans, and we can focus on the issues of the royal family.”

Xiong Ningwu and the others immediately agreed with Zhang Fei [5]. ”Speaking of which, you asked us to join your organization, but you havenʼt told us its name.”

”The demon fox.” They frowned to hear that name from Zhang Fei [5]. ”I am a human, but I am also a demon.”

”What?” Han Yuanzhi was not surprised to hear that, especially since Zhang Fei [5] had already revealed the truth to her.

Tu Shen pointed at Zhang Fei [5]. ”You... are you really a demon?”

”Do I need to lie to you?” Zhang Fei [5] immediately transformed into his demon form, causing Tu Shen and the others to jump back. ”Arenʼt you guys overreacting? Look at my parents-in-law and the others; none of them reacted like you guys.”

Bai Zizhen, Bai Shushi, Xiong Ningwu, Kong Heng, Tu Shen, Linghu Xiaoting, and Linghu Shiwei immediately looked at them all.

”Weʼve known for a long time that he is a demon, but we have no problem with that.” Xian Feng was the first to answer. Yun Shang and the others immediately nodded at the people, confirming that they already knew Zhang Fei [5]ʼs demon identity.

”Just like humans and beasts, not all demons are evil.” They turned to Long Huang. ”Moreover, he has helped you guys a lot, right? Would he do all that if he were an evil demon? If he was an evil demon, you guys wouldnʼt be able to do anything against him, and you would have fallen into his control by now.”

Xian Lianghua joined in. ”You guys surely know that I hate those demons from the two demon kingdoms, right? I donʼt mind his demon identity, and I welcome him to my kingdom.”

Following the Beast and Elf Emperorsʼ statement, Bai Zuzhen and the others promptly regained composure and returned to their seats. ”So when are we going to start your plan?”

”As soon as possible, you guys must do it secretly so as not to arouse Huangfu Shouʼs suspicion.” They immediately agreed with Zhang Fei [5], who had already transformed back into his human form. ”In that case, you guys can go back now, and you can report the results to me.”

Although they still had many questions for Zhang Fei [5], Bai Zuzhen and the others immediately left the place. However, Han Yuanzhi chose not to accompany them, instead waiting for him to conclude his conversation with the others.

”What if we apply the same method we used in the Zhou Kingdom to the Huangfu Kingdom?” Yun Shang inquired.

”No.” Zhang Fei [5] immediately rejected it. ”For the time being, we donʼt need to touch Huangfu Shouʼs subordinates, but we will act immediately after Li Tiannan returns to this realm. Anyway, I want the armies of the Xian and Yun Kingdoms to start invading the Zhou Kingdom, and Zhou Xiaochuanʼs subordinates under my control will support them. Once I come out of seclusion, we will immediately take over his kingdom.”

”How long will you be in seclusion this time?”

Zhang Fei [5] thought for a moment before answering Shi Qingzhuang. ”I plan to take them into seclusion for three to six months, mother-in-law. However, I will continue to monitor the situation of the three kingdoms, so your armies just need to be prepared in the Zhou Kingdom and wait for me to come out.”

Shi Qingzhuang and the others nodded in understanding. ”In that case, we will prepare our armies from now on, and we will move once you come out of seclusion.”

After that, Zhang Fei [5] sent them back to the Xian and Yun Kingdoms, and Yun Aoxian also returned with his parents. He then sent Xian Lianghua and Xue Jingling back to the Natural Races Kingdom, but he did not immediately send the four people from the Beast Kingdom back to their kingdom.

Instead, Zhang Fei [5] asked Long Huang. ”Emperor Long, you are a water dragon, right? I have a wife with a powerful water element, but she lacks a special bloodline. Therefore, I want to get a few drops of your bloodline for her, and I am willing to exchange it for anything.”

Zhang Fei [5]ʼs request not only shocked Long Huang, but Long Baiyun and their two sons were also shocked by it, especially since their dragon bloodline was too precious.

”Heavenly fox is also a mythical beast; what if I exchange my bloodline with yours?”

Zhang Fei [5]ʼs offer tempted Long Huang, but Feng Yao spoke quickly. ”You must not give your bloodline to him. He was indeed a dragon, but he would not be able to fight against Tian Baixing and Tian Baitian. If they find out that he has your bloodline, they will kill him and his family.”

”Yeah, youʼre right.” Zhang Fei [5] replied with a heavy sigh. He then took out four Youthful Retaining Pills and Beauty Restoring Pills, explaining their respective effects to Long Huang and the others. ”What do you think of my offer, Emperor Long?”

Their effects naturally tempted Long Baiyun. ”Do these two pills really have that kind of effect?”

”This woman has already swallowed both of them, or else she still looks old now.” Shang Yumei spoke, gesturing with her index finger at Han Yuanzhi. ”Your dragon bloodline is indeed precious, but two pills each for the four of you is perfect reciprocity, right?”

Feng Yao also helped Zhang Fei [5] to persuade them. ”I have already given my phoenix bloodline to one of his wives, especially since she has great talent in alchemy. His wife, who has the water element, also has great talent in cultivation. Your water dragon bloodline will not be wasted on her, so I hope you are willing to accept his offer.”
