Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 644: Spirit Rank Blacksmith

In a flowering garden, in a distant realm, an old woman with white hair tied back in a bun stands in front of a young woman whose long brown hair falls to the floor.

The old woman nodded in satisfaction as she stared at the cluster of Divine Qi above the young womanʼs head, and it grew thicker as time passed.

The young womanʼs soul also grew brighter as she continuously infused it with divine Qi. A while later, a thick and bright thread of Qi emerged from her body and connected to her soul, and the Divine Qi quickly circulated between them.

*Swoosh*

The huge Qi wave that suddenly emerged from the young womanʼs body swept across the surrounding area, satisfying the old woman.

A while later, the cluster Divine Qi disappeared by itself, and the young woman immediately put her soul into her body again. She then exhaled a breath of relief and opened her eyes. ”I did it, Master Shu Xianʼer.”

”Congratulations! Youʼve finally broken through to the 1-Moon Divine Fusion Realm, Yumei.” Shu Xianʼer said this with a satisfied smile on her old face. ”Back then, I estimated that you needed one year to break through to this stage, but you managed to do it in a little over three months. Moreover, your heartbinding art has reached the perfection stage now, and it makes it easier for you to seduce and control those useless men.”

Shang Yumeiʼs expression changed slightly after Shu Xianʼer mentioned that. Naturally, she was elated by her breakthrough because she had been trying to break through for several years without success, but she was also frustrated about the process. She had long known that it would take her longer to break through, but she was able to do so faster than her masterʼs estimation due to external factors.

ʼMaster! Donʼt mention that brat!ʼ

ʼTch!ʼ Shang Yumei gritted her teeth in anger, but it only made the demon foxʼs soul continue to tease her.

”What are your plans next? Are you going to wander again?” Shu Xianʼer asked.

”Yes, Master.” Shang Yumei then stood up from her seat. ”I have a problem with a man, and itʼs bothering me quite a bit. Thatʼs why Iʼm going to meet him, and I will subdue him this time. After that, I will seek out other men and control over them, and I will snatch all their resources to expedite my cultivation.”

”I canʼt give you many valuable resources, and I can only give you all my best techniques, so you should find as many men as possible and control them.” Shu Xianʼer then gave Shang Yumei an item. ”If you still have trouble subduing that man, you can use this Obsidian Heart Gem. Its effect is different from the heartbinding art or bewitching techniques of the nine-tailed demon fox, and it will slowly influence his deepest feelings, allowing you to instill deep emotion and loyalty to you in his heart.”

”Thank you, Master.” After she stored the gem, Shang Yumei immediately took out her flying artifact. ”Iʼll go find that man now, and Iʼll come back here when Iʼm close to breaking through.”

Shu Xianʼer nodded. ”Go now.”

After Shang Yumei left, a middle-aged woman appeared behind Shu Xianʼer. ”Do you want me to follow Junior Sister Yumei, Master? Since that manʼs Yang Qi can help her break through so quickly, it will definitely benefit us, and our disciples can become strong, too.”

”No need.” Shu Xianʼer rejected her idea. ”Did you forget what Yumei said back then, Lu Xuejia? Our technique doesnʼt work on that man, so youʼre just looking for death if you meet him. He didnʼt do anything to her because she is a member of the Shang Clan, but we are only a middle-ranking sect and lack strong support, so we should not look for trouble with him.”

”I understand, Master.”

Shu Xianʼer then turned to leave. ”Letʼs go back.”

At dawn, Zhang Fei left Qing Yi and Zhang Lin, who were already deeply asleep in each otherʼs arms. He checked on all his wives to ask about their mastery of the Origin Soul Art.

Some of Zhang Feiʼs wives, such as Liu Hua, Liu Qingyu, Zhang Lingxue, Ye Lian, Chu Ying, Chu Xing, Shen Xueyi, Shen Yu, Boitata, and Hu Yue, managed to master the second stage of Origin Soul Art.

Meanwhile, Ru Xue, Zhong Yan, Tang Zhiyu, Zhao Ziqin, Lillea, and Janette only managed to master the first stage. Even though they had not succeeded in mastering the second stage, Zhang Fei did not mind their results and encouraged them instead.

Having trained and cultivated for more than two days in the training space, Zhang Fei asked the others to rest and brought them all back to his residence. He also brought his clonesʼ partners with them, especially since his cultivation and soul were not yet completely stable.

Zhang Fei [1], Feltia [2], and Zhang Fei [4] also exited the training space and proceeded to another forest to complete the daily quest to kill beasts.

Upon their arrival, the disciples from the Heavenly Sword Sect and Yin-Yang Pavilion, including Lin Dongʼer and Mu Lingshu, immediately went into the forest to hunt beasts and hone their fighting skills. The senior cultivators decided to rest, and the senior women joined Zhang Chen to prepare breakfast.

”How do you feel after training there for more than two days?”

”Dead tired!” Yun Xinyue was the first to answer Zhang Fei.

Xian Changyue agreed. ”Iʼm exhausted, but Iʼm eager to adapt to the gravity.”

”Fortunately, I am a beast, and my cultivation is higher than both of you. Although I was overwhelmed by the gravity at first, I have become more and more adapted to it, and I might be able to adapt if I train for another week.” Feng Yao then told Zhang Fei. ”I forgot to tell you that my mother and the others met Meng Qi in the Blossom Heaven Realm, and the realm leader gave her something addictive. However, my mother had already removed it from her body and sent her here.”

”Oh?” Zhang Fei was really surprised to hear that. ”How long will it take her to arrive in this realm?”

Feng Yao thought for a moment. ”Meng Qi left two days ago, and she will probably arrive in this realm in ten days.”

”I see.” Zhang Fei nodded in understanding. ”I will immediately send Meng Qi back to the Sky Jade Realm, and she can reunite with her family.”

”According to my mother, Meng Qi had something special in her body, so she freed her and sent her here.” After Feng Yao said that, Zhang Fei immediately asked Mei to display the womanʼs data, but he couldnʼt find anything special about her. ”My mother didnʼt explain it in detail, but she hopes that you will keep her by your side.”

Zhang Fei shook his head immediately. ”I donʼt know Meng Qi, and Iʼve only met her once, so I donʼt have the intention to keep her by my side. Moreover, she may not agree to stay here, so weʼll ask her first after she arrives.”

”Are you going to the capital, Fei?” Xian Xianqin suddenly asked. ”I havenʼt seen my parents since I returned from the tower, so I want to go back and see them first. Moreover, Iʼve already broken through to this stage; Iʼm sure theyʼll be shocked if they find out.”

Zhang Fei nodded at Xian Xianqin. ”I want to build a pool in the training space, so Iʼll go to the capital to buy some stuff. Anyway, Lingxue has already installed a teleportation device in my shop, saving us the trouble of traveling there. We can access it through the portal in front of this residence.”

”Can you also install one in my kingdom, Zhang Fei?” Yun Xinyue expectantly asked, especially since she could meet her family more easily if he installed it there.

”Iʼve planned that, but Iʼll install it once I find the right building.” Zhang Feiʼs answer pleased Yun Xinyue. ”You guys can rest first while waiting for my grandmother and the others to finish cooking.”

”All right.” Even though they were cultivators, they still needed to rest, so they rushed to the main building.

After the four women left, Zhang Fei approached the four moon foxes who were gathered in another area. ”Are you still thinking about returning to your sub-realm, Lili?”

”No.” Hu Lili responded by shaking her head. ”After practicing in your training space, I realized that I was still too weak, so I focused on improving myself in the past week. Although Hu Xiufuʼs cultivation is still in the core realm, she has already surpassed me in terms of speed, especially since she has been with you for several months.”

”Haha.” Hu Xiufu laughed awkwardly at that. ”Back then, those heavenly foxes kidnapped me, but Zhang Fei saved me from them. Moreover, I didnʼt want to continue being taken advantage of by the elders, so I decided to hide in his training space.”

Hu Qiaomu suddenly questioned Zhang Fei. ”Why donʼt you take Hu Xiufu as your partner, Master? Sheʼs been with you since then, so I thought youʼd already eaten her.”

”Elder Qiaomu!” Hu Xiufu shouted in embarrassment.

Zhang Fei smiled as he looked at Hu Xiufu. ”Sheʼs pretty and sexy, and our relationship has gotten better since we left the Sky Jade Realm. However, Xiufu obviously has no feelings for me, and she is more interested in my half-sibling.”

”Your half-sibling?” Zhang Fei immediately pointed at Wang Xiaofeng, who was talking to Wang Zhuxian, Ming Hao, and Ming Yanyu in the distance.

”Do you really like him, Xiufu?” Hu Lili asked her.

Hu Xiufu nodded slightly. ”I like Wang Xiaofeng, Elder Lili. Even though he is a human and his cultivation is far below mine, he has always been kind and friendly to me.”

”I see.” Hu Lili nodded in understanding. ”If you like Wang Xiaofeng, I think itʼs okay for you to be with him.”

”Are you okay with them being lovers, Master?”

”If I had liked Xiufu, I would have approached her long ago, and she would have been my partner by now. Although my relationship with Wang Xiaofeng is not really close, he is still related to me by blood, and I always think about my family. Since they like each other, they can become a couple.” Zhang Fei turned to Hu Lili, who immediately shifted her face to the side. However, he pulled her into a hug and kissed her directly, causing her to curse in her heart. ”My Lili, you wonʼt be able to avoid me all the time, and you will be my woman soon.”

”Haha.” Hu Yue softly laughed. ”Husband, you need a little coercion if you want my mother to be your wife, or she will never accept you.”

Hu Lili glared at her daughter, but Hu Yue responded with a loud laugh. Zhang Fei suddenly cupped her cheeks and stared at her eyes intensely, making her waver. ”Yueʼer is right that I need a little force to get you, but I wonʼt do it, and I want you to accept me of your own accord. You guys can rest and have fun first, and I will bring you guys into the training space again tonight.”

After that, Zhang Fei talked to other people, such as the Hai Twins, Lian Xiang, Qing Tan, Ming Han, Wang Zetian, and all of his in-lawsʼ families. He also talked with several people from other clans, such as Qin Zheng, Chang Wuhen, and their families.

Hearing the bustling sound outside, the seven women from Earth immediately woke up from their sleep and rushed to look for Zhang Fei. However, the number of people in the residence surprised them, especially since it was several times greater than the number in the Chu Clan.

Since they were always busy handling his affairs on Earth, Zhang Fei took Huang Rong and the others to the southern ocean, where they had fun while venting their longing for him. Naturally, they vented their longing by having sex with him, and they had never had outdoor sex before, which made their activities even hotter.

Inside the training space, Zhang Fei [5] was relentlessly forging a few spirit-grade weapons, but the results were still not to his satisfaction. Moreover, the system had yet to give him any notification, so all the weapons he had forged before were still not perfect.

*Clang... Clang...*

”These are the last materials I have, and Tie Xuan hasnʼt returned to the Wasteland Realm, so I must succeed in forging a perfect spirit-grade weapon this time.” Quickly, three hours passed in the training space, and Zhang Fei [5] had already given the final touches to the weapon he was forging.

Once he was sure of the results, Zhang Fei [5] immediately dipped the weapon into a cooling liquid to cool it so he could see the final result.

[Ding]

[The Blacksmith feature has been upgraded to level 2.]

[New items are available.]

”Phew.” Zhang Fei [5] breathed a sigh of relief at the appearance of the two notifications, and his hard work over the past few days was not in vain. After the weapon cooled, he immediately took it out and observed its shape and sharpness. ”This sword is indeed much better than the previous ones, but itʼs still not as good as those forged by Gang Zhishou and Tie Xuan, and I still need to hone my forging skills more to reach their level.”

[Even though this sword is still not as good as their forging, this is good enough, and you are a Spirit Rank Blacksmith now, Master. However, you still canʼt create a true spirit weapon like the demon extermination sword, so you can improve your forging ability while learning how to create a true spirit weapon.]

Zhang Fei [5] nodded in response. ”Tie Xuan has already given me the method to create a true spirit weapon, but my soul power isnʼt enough to create one. Moreover, the process of creating one necessitates the use of numerous precious materials, which come at an exorbitant cost. Before I try to create one, I should deepen my forging skills first so I wonʼt waste a lot of precious materials.”

[Would you like to purchase weapon and armor blueprints at the blacksmith shop, Master? Currently, there are six blueprints, and three of them are spirit grade. As for the materials, you may want to ask Gang Zhishou, Xian Xian, or Duan Zhao for help in getting them.]

”All the items in the system are not ordinary, so Iʼm sure those blueprints are not for creating ordinary spirit-grade equipment, and I will buy them after I can forge it smoothly.” Zhang Fei [5] suddenly remembered something. ”Unlock the reward from the easy quest, Mei.”

[You obtained 1 Eclipse Shadow Cloak. Grade: Heaven.]

”Hmm?” Zhang Fei [5] immediately stored the sword and took out the cloak.

[Eclipse Shadow Cloak: Grants the user the ability to hide in shadow, making the user almost impossible to track.]

Zhang Fei [5] promptly put the cloak back into storage. ”I have my invisibility and shadow techniques, so the cloak is useless to me. However, it will be useful to Huaʼer, so I will give it to her.”

After that, Zhang Fei [5] decided to rest and cultivate first so he could complete one of the daily quests.

At the Shang Clanʼs residence in the Wasteland Realm, Shang Yifen looked confused when she realized she was not in her room, and her confusion was further heightened by the presence of Shang Xinyu beside her. ʼWhose room is this? Since when did Xinyu return to this realm?ʼ

Shang Yifen suddenly heard a sound from the bathroom, but her eyes widened when she saw two people walking out of it. ʼIs this their room? Why am I here?ʼ

”Are you really not coming with us, Longʼer?” Shang Yaolin asked in disappointment.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] shook his head. ”Big Sis, I want to accompany you, but my cultivation is still not enough to go to the Sun Tower. Thatʼs why I will stay in this realm, and I will deepen my mastery of my soul technique.”

Shang Yaolin then hugged and kissed Zhang Xiaolong [3]. ”Letʼs meet my brother now, so we wonʼt keep Senior Hun waiting too long.”
