Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 476: Old Alchemist

Meanwhile, two women had just arrived in front of a residence. ”Why did you bring me here, Aunt Xinxin?”

”Arenʼt your abilities useless against that kid?” Shang Yumei nodded to Hong Xinxin. ”I know you are confident in your abilities and body, but you should not underestimate that brat, especially since he is the descendant of a heavenly fox and a nine-tailed demon fox.

Moreover, their relationship has already gone one step further because of your mistake in giving him the transformation technique, so we canʼt let them continue being together, or he will become more attached to her. If that happens, you will never be able to subdue him, and Yaolin may be controlled by him.

Thatʼs why I brought you here, and we will ask something from that guy, so he will forget about your little sister.”

Shang Yumei frowned at that, but the woman in her mind suddenly spoke to her. [This woman is right, Yumei. You should not place importance on your ego and pride, and you should use all methods to subdue that fox kid. Once you successfully subdue him, we can do whatever you want with him, and we can use his Yang Qi to strengthen yourself and my soul.]

”All right, letʼs go in now.”

After she agreed, Hong Xinxin immediately led Song Yumei into the residence, and their sudden arrival surprised the people in the clan. One of the male members of the clan immediately escorted them to the back of their residence, but he brought them into the basement, where an old man seemed to be busy with his potions and pills.

After the man left, Hong Xinxin immediately spoke to the old man. ”Huo Yaoshui, I have an important matter, so I came here to ask for your secret potion.”

”Hahaha.” Huo Yaoshui laughed strangely before turning to them. ”Do you intend to use it on Shang Guangming?”

”Do you think I need such a thing to get Little Guangming?” Hong Xinxin turned to ask with narrow eyes. ”I need it for someone special, especially since Yumeiʼs abilities have no effect on her.”

”Hmm?” Huo Yaoshui wore a curious look as he glanced at Shang Yumei, who immediately looked away.

Nevertheless, Hong Xinxin shook her head at Huo Yaoshui. ”I wonʼt explain anything to you now, and you will find out for yourself after we succeed. I can tell you that your assistance will be valuable to us, and we will help you gain better status in the Huo Clan in return.”

”Do you think you can do that?” Huo Yaoshui inquired, shaking his head in disapproval. ”The Shang, Murong, and Hong clans are indeed strong, but yours are still not as strong as my Huo clan. Even your father and grandfather have to respect my patriarch, so I will not fall for your nonsense.

Moreover, my patriarch forbade me to concoct that potion again, especially since the effect is too terrible, and he will kill me if he finds out that I gave it to you.”

Hong Xinxin was not angry about that; instead, she smiled and walked in front of Huo Yaoushui. ”What if I told you that there are still some other clans on our side, such as the Huang, Hao, and Zhuang Clans?”

”Hmm?” After Hong Xinxin mentioned the three clans, Huo Yaoshui frowned. ”Which other clans have joined your group?”

”I wonʼt tell you everything in detail now, but I can assure you that our overall strength is greater than your Huo Clan.” Huo Yaoshui frowned even more, but Hong Xinxin responded by extending his right hand to him. ”Your patriarch may forbid you from concocting it again, but I know your character, so Iʼm sure you still have some of those potions.”

Huo Yaoshui sighed softly and touched the ring on his finger, and a black bottle immediately appeared in his hand. He then gave it to Hong Xinxin. ”You better keep your words, or I will make you suffer.”

”I always keep my words, and you will not regret this decision.” Hong Xinxin then turned to Shang Yumei, and they immediately left the basement.

After they left, Huo Yaoshui began to take care of his pills and potions again, but Hong Xinxinʼs previous words continued to linger in his mind. ”What are they really planning? Why are those clans siding with them? Are they thinking about completely taking over our realm?”

After they arrived outside, Hong Xinxin immediately gave the black bottle to Shang Yumei, but she seemed hesitant about it. ”What exactly is this potion? Why are you so sure that it can subdue that kid?”

”Have you forgotten Huo Yaoshiʼs status?” Shang Yumei frowned because Hong Xinxin didnʼt answer her question directly. ”He is Ai Weirenʼs ex-husband, remember? Both of them are equally crazy at concocting pills and potions with strange effects, and this potion was their last creation before they were both separated.”

Shang Yumei immediately stored the black bottle into her storage ring. ”Why donʼt you use it on him yourself? You are his master on the body cultivation path, so he wonʼt be suspicious of you.”

”Foolish girl.” Hong Xinxin then took Shang Yumei to fly back to the Shang Clan residence. ”That brat will submit to me if I use it on him, but I donʼt need any other men by my side besides your brother. Thatʼs why you have to use it on him yourself, so he will completely submit to you and forget everyone he knows, including Yaolin.”

”I see.” Shang Yumei nodded in understanding.

Soon, the two women arrived at the Shang Clan residence, but they found Zhang Xiaolong [3] cultivating his soul together with Shang Yingyue and Shang Yaolin, so they did not disturb them and waited for them to come back. Hong Xinxin went directly to Shang Guangmingʼs room to rest, and Shang Yumei waited in her little sisterʼs room.

Murong Mengying, who was still enjoying her wine alone, shook her head after seeing the two women return. ”It appears that Hong Xinxin did not believe in Shang Yumeiʼs abilities, so she brought her to the Huo Clan to meet the old man. I donʼt know what she offered Huo Yaoshui, but their expressions showed that he had given them something, and they must have planned to use it on that kid.”

”What do you think their plan is?”

”Hmm?” Murong Mengying turned her head and threw her wine gourd towards Qiao Liangren, who had just arrived. ”We both know their ambitions, and they want to use that kid to smooth their plans to overthrow Shang Huaqiang. After that, they will target the other clans, including your Qiao Clan, especially since your father doesnʼt want to side with them.”

Qiao Liangren immediately took a sip of the wine before sitting down beside Murong Mengying, and he returned the wine gourd to her. ”Overthrowing Shang Huaqiang was certainly not an easy matter, especially since those two old folks have always supported him from behind.

Even if Shang, Murong, Hong, and those clans join forces, they still wonʼt be able to defeat him, especially since they will help him to stop their rebellion. Will you help them with their rebellion?”

”Hey! Come on! Weʼve known each other since we were babies, so you should know my character, right?” Qiao Liangren nodded to Murong Mengxin, who immediately continued. ”Anyway, I donʼt know much about that kid, and everything I know about him comes from you.

However, I know that he is not an ordinary kid, and he is hiding something that is beyond our understanding, but I canʼt guess what he is hiding from us. Thatʼs why I believe that their plan against him will fail miserably, especially if Shang Yingyue and Shang Yaolin continue to help him cultivate his soul.”

”I think the same as you.” Qiao Liangren then looked towards the mountain peak. ”If we look at it from all perspectives, that kid is indeed unusual. A ten-year-old kid with a cultivation of 7-Star Soul Realm, and he didnʼt even cry or complain when Hong Xinxin beat him so hard. Instead, he always seemed to enjoy it, and he also kept looking forward to it.

At first, he tried to imitate my way of cultivating my soul, and I could see his talent in the soul cultivation path, so I decided to teach him. However, the results were far beyond my expectations, especially since he was able to become one in just a few hours. He was able to do dual soul cultivation with Shang Yingyue, even though he had never learned the method before.

Look at him now—he can dual-cultivate his soul with both of them at the same time, and his Yang Qi control amazes me. Even though Iʼm more experienced than him, I couldnʼt do that.”

Murong Mengying nodded her head repeatedly as she listened to Qiao Liangren, but a thought suddenly flashed through her mind. ”All of his abilities make me think that he is actually not a child, and he is probably already quite experienced in cultivation.

However, I have checked his bone age using my technique when he was still in his little boy form, and his bone age does show that he is still ten years old. Even after he used that transformation technique, his bone age did not change.”

But alas, Murong Mengying still didnʼt know the real Zhang Xiaolong [3], and he deliberately used his body modification ability to change his body to ten years old, so no one would suspect him.

”At first, I thought the same as you, so I checked his soul, but his soul was indeed the soul of a child.” Murong Mengying immediately turned to Qiao Liangʼer. ”However, his midset is definitely not the mindset of a child, and he has probably gone through a lot for his mindset to be that strong.

Anyway, Iʼll go back now, especially since his talent makes me jealous, and heʼll probably surpass me quickly if I relax.”

Murong Mengying shook her head slightly after Qiao Liangren disappeared, and she immediately drank some more of her wine while her eyes continued to watch Zhang Xiaolong [3] from a distance. ʼI will continue to observe him for the time being, and I might meet him if his talent is as outstanding as I expect.ʼ

In her secret place, Shang Xiaoyin was soaking in the beast blood pond with the other two women, but Shang Xinyu was on a large rock with a serious expression.

”What happened to you? Why didnʼt you join us?”

Shang Xinyu immediately turned to Shang Xiaoyin. ”Iʼve been feeling weird since I woke up, and I also had a strange dream when I was resting earlier, which made it difficult for me to concentrate.”

”What kind of strange dream did you have?” Shang Jiali inquired curiously.

”I dreamed of a man, but Iʼve never seen that man before, so I feel confused about it.” Shang Jiali and the two women were surprised to hear that, but Shang Xinyu immediately jumped down. ”I canʼt concentrate on cultivating tonight, so Iʼll go back to our residence now.”

Shang Xinyuʼs demeanor left them perplexed, until Shang Yifen abruptly posed a question. ”What do you think happened to us before? How could we have been unconscious for four whole days?”

”There were only Shang Yaolin and that kid in this place that day, but you already knocked both of them unconscious, so Iʼm sure it wasnʼt them who did something to us.”

*Bam*

*Splash*

The blood in the pond immediately gushed upwards as soon as Shang Xiaoyin slammed the surface, startling the two women. ”Iʼm sure that bitch has done something to us, but we canʼt do anything to her now, especially since Shang Yingyue is still watching me.

Moreover, Shang Yumei is also in this realm now, so Iʼm forced to postpone my plans against her, and Iʼll wait for the right time to do something to her.”

After that, Shang Xiaoyin told the two women about her plans for Shang Yaolin. They were shocked to hear that, but they still supported her idea.

Another day had passed, but Zhang Xiaolong [3] paid no attention to the notification, especially since his concentration was completely immersed in dual soul cultivation with the two women. Even the Yin-Yang diagram above them was already very bright, and its size was significantly larger compared to when he was engaged in dual soul cultivation with each of them.

Their actions attracted the attention of too many people, but none of them had any intention of going to the top of the mountain, and they only watched the place from their respective residences. Even so, not all of them have good intentions, and many of them plan evil things against them, especially the demons who live on the southern island.

Even Tian Guo, the divine beast living on the eastern island, also kept his eyes on Zhang Xiaolong [3]. Even though he felt jealous of her talent, he still had no intention of going after him due to some special reasons.

A few hours later, the beasts started making strange noises, especially the flying beasts that kept circling above the dark sky. At the same time, a second notification appeared in Zhang Xiaolong [3]ʼs mind.

After they pulled their qi and soul back, they immediately opened their eyes, but Shang Yaolin was the most excited, especially since her soul level had broken through a minor stage. After all, she had only been a soul cultivator for a day, but she was helped by Zhang Xiaolong [3] and Shang Yingyue at the same time, which allowed her to do so. ”Thank you, Longʼer and Senior Sister Yingyue.”

”You donʼt need to thank me, Big Sis.”

Shang Yingyue only nodded in response to Shang Yaolin, but she suddenly felt a strange sensation flowing through her body. However, she was perplexed by the sensationʼs origin. ”You two can go back now, and I will continue my cultivation.”

Shang Yaolin immediately brought Zhang Xiaolong [3], who had transformed into his boy form, down from the top of the mountain, leaving Shang Yingyue to ponder by herself.

Shang Yingyue shook her head to get rid of her strange thoughts, and she immediately closed her eyes before cultivating again, but she felt that it was enough to cultivate her soul, so she only cultivated manually.

Meanwhile, Shang Yaolinʼs face darkened as soon as they arrived at their room, especially since Shang Yumei was already waiting for them naked.

In contrast to her, Zhang Xiaolong [3] smirked slightly, jumped down from Shang Yaolinʼs arms, and laid down on the bed. However, Shang Yumei immediately pulled him into a hug.

Shang Yaolinʼs anger burned even more when she saw that, but she immediately took off her clothes and laid down beside Zhang Xiaolong [3], snatching him from her big sister. ”Longʼer is mine! I wonʼt let you touch him!”

”Is that so?” Shang Yumei inquired with a slight smirk, causing Shang Yaolin to shudder. ”You can have him now, but he will be mine soon, and you wonʼt be able to stop that.”

”Humph!” Shang Yaolin snorted coldly and carried Zhang Xiaolong [3] to her other side. She covered their bodies with a blanket and hugged him tightly, ensuring his big sister couldnʼt do anything to him while she slept.

Zhang Xiaolong [3] also gave Shang Yaolin a hug, but he waited for her to fall asleep first. This was because he needed to imprison her subconscious once more to prevent the effects of the pill from affecting her. Additionally, he was closely monitoring Shang Yumei, anticipating her next move.
