Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 436: Rescue Plan

”Your grandmother is right, Zhang Fei.” Su Qingshi said this as she and Yang Ye approached them. ”We both regret the deaths of our sect master and Chu Hong, but we cannot continue to dwell with those who are dead, and we must focus on those who are still alive.

You have already found three of the seniors who were sucked into the space rift, and they are in the Netherworld now, so you still have time to save them.”

”Chu Hong and our sect master are my good friends, so I myself feel regretful about their deaths.” Yang Ye then patted Zhang Feiʼs shoulder. ”You may be disappointed that you were unable to save them, but you must remember that you are not omnipotent.

Even with your three identities, you are still an ordinary living being, and your strength is limited, so there are many things that are beyond your control. Besides, you not only saved some of those senior cultivators from heretics, but you also saved the entire population of this realm from those demons, so you donʼt need to blame yourself for their deaths.”

Zhang Fei let out a heavy sigh, letting go of Zhang Chen before turning to Su Qingshi and Yang Ye. ”Currently, my fourth clone is on his way to my brother-in-lawʼs place, but I donʼt know if I have time to save him, especially since his location is too far west, and my clone is in the east, so he will need at least seven to ten days to get there.

Gu Tong is in a city in the south, and he is with a demon cultivator from the upper realm in that city, so I doubt I can save him. As for Chi Yang, he is still surrounded by powerful demon beasts in the southern region, and they are much stronger than my current self.”

The two seniors of the Heavenly Sword Sect frowned upon hearing that, but Yang Ye then asked Zhang Fei. ”Can you take me to that realm? Although I am not as strong as Chang Wuhen, Zhang Long, or Di Xiong, I am confident that I can still save Chi Yang. However, I cannot possibly fight that powerful demon cultivator, especially since his cultivation should be in the seven divine realms now.”

”I can indeed take you there, Senior.” Zhang Fei replied with a nod. ”However, your cultivation is too low to withstand the demon aura in the Netherworld Realm, and my fourth clone is even further away from the southern region. You wonʼt be able to reach Chi Yangʼs location, as your qi will exhaust before you can reach it.

Besides, I detected two King or Queen Rank demons in the southern region, and they will immediately notice your presence if you go there.”

Yang Ye didnʼt dare take Zhang Feiʼs words lightly, especially since he himself would have difficulty fighting those heretics if he wasnʼt helped by the other cultivators, let alone if he had to face the demons.

Su Qingshi then put forward her idea. ”Zhang Fei, could you please ask Sect Master Feng Yao to help you save them? After all, she went to the Netherworld Realm with you before, and the cultivators from the upper realms did not dare to do anything to her, so the demons definitely wouldnʼt dare to attack her either.”

Instead, Zhang Fei let out a soft sigh because he still remembered Feng Yaoʼs previous words that she would not help the cultivators from the Sky Jade Realm directly, and she would only help them to prevent the cultivators from the upper realms from attacking them.

Even so, he tried to contact the phoenix to ask for her help, but the result was as he had expected because she immediately rejected his request. ”She was unwilling to help me and asked me to think of a way to save them myself.”

”Why is she so selfish? She-”

”Thatʼs enough, Qingshi.” Yang Ye immediately stopped his friend. ”I know you are disappointed by Sect Master Fengʼs decision; I myself also feel the same as you. However, you have to remember that she is not a native of this realm, and she is also a mythical beast, so it is natural that she is unwilling to help us.

Moreover, she has already helped the seniors stabilize the demon portal; otherwise, the demons would have long invaded our realm, so you donʼt need to blame her.”

Su Qingshi clenched her fists tightly after hearing that, but she also realized that Feng Yao had indeed helped them a lot. However, she was deeply disheartened by her unwillingness to rescue Chi Yang and the others, considering that she was the only person capable of saving them apart from Zhang Fei.

Zhang Fei suddenly got a voice transmission from Zhang Lingxue, so he immediately opened a portal to the Blazing Phoenix Sect. Soon, people from the Zhang and Chang Clan walked out of it, and Ziʼer immediately asked him. ”Is it true that youʼve found my husband?”

”My fourth clone has already set off for the western region, but he will only arrive at my brother-in-lawʼs location in seven to ten days.” Ziʼer and the people from the Zhang Clan looked relieved to hear that, but Zhang Feiʼs next explanation caused them to become tense.

”To tell you the truth, Iʼm not sure my brother-in-law can return to this realm again, especially since he lacks the Qi to protect himself from the demon aura in that realm, which could potentially affect him and turn him into a demon.

Besides, he might also sustain injuries because of the space rift, and there are quite a lot of powerful demons and demon beasts in his current location, so Iʼm not sure that he can protect himself from them.”

After hearing that, Ziʼer staggered back, but Zhang Xiaoling immediately supported her before speaking to Zhang Fei. ”Please, you must save my father and bring him back to us.”

”Zhang Fei, we donʼt care if Wuji becomes a demon, and I hope you can bring him back to us.” Yang Yudie joined in begging him, especially since Zhang Wuji was his only son, so she didnʼt want to lose him.

Zhang Long also spoke to Zhang Fei. ”Kid, take me to that realm, and I will help you save Wuji, so we can bring him back here.”

”I will also go with you guys.” They turned to Chang Wuhen, who immediately provided them with an explanation. ”Wuji and Wentian have been friends since childhood, and I have always regarded him as my own son. Thatʼs why I canʼt possibly let him die in that realm, so I will take the risk to help you two save him.”

”You two wonʼt be able to survive long in that realm with your strength still not fully recovered.” All of them immediately turned towards the voice, and they saw Oliver coming along with two leaders of the natural races. Elmyra, the elf race leader, immediately continued.

”Moreover, you two donʼt have the light element, so your Qi protection wonʼt be able to last long, and you guys will eventually turn into a demon if you insist on going there.”

”I have never faced those demons directly, but I have experienced the effects of the demon miasma from one of the blood demon trees, so I can tell you that the demon aura in that realm will have a significant impact on you two.” Yuhe, the Undine race leader, also spoke to them.

Oliver then informed them. ”Thatʼs why I brought Elmyra here, especially since she has a pure light element, and I have a strong wind element, so the two of us will go to the Netherworld Realm to help Zhang Feiʼs clone.”

”Me too! Iʼm going to that realm too!” Yuhe said while raising her right hand.

”Are the three of you sure you want to go to that realm?” The three nodded to Zhang Fei, who immediately asked Mei to open a portal to his training space. ”If that is the case, the three of you can go inside now, and my clone will take you out to that realm.”

With no hesitation, the three of them immediately entered the training space, but Zhang Fei [4] took them directly to the Netherworld Realm. Zhang Fei then spoke to those people. ”Grandpa Oliverʼs wind element can help me get to the western region faster, and Elmyraʼs light element can protect them from the demon aura.

For now, you should rest in this clan first, and we will bring my brother-in-law back soon.”

After they agreed, Zhang Fei asked a servant from the Chu Clan to take them to the guest residence, but Ziʼer looked anxious thinking about her husbandʼs situation. Meanwhile, Su Qingshi and Yang Ye left the clan for the Ba Clan, especially since the clan was in a chaotic situation with the death of Ba Jiawen.

Zhang Chen then asked her grandson. ”Are you also going to rescue Gu Tong? After all, Xing Mei is in your hands now, and she is his wife.”

”Grandma, you know that Iʼm not that petty, right?” Zhang Chen nodded at Zhang Fei. ”Gu Tong has never had any problems with me, and only Xing Mei has problems with me, so I will still try to save him. However, Alderʼs presence by his side makes the situation difficult, especially since his cultivation is in the Seven Divine Realm, so I am not his opponent.

Moreover, I do not know about his actual situation, and the demon aura in the Netherworld Realm may have affected him by now. Even if I manage to save him, he still will not be able to return to this realm if he has turned into a demon. As for Chi Yang, he is still safe now, but those demon beasts keep surrounding him, so he canʼt escape from his hiding place.”

Zhang Chen sighed softly and grabbed Zhang Feiʼs shoulders. ”No matter what happens to them—whether they survive or turn into demons—you must try to save them from those demons and demon beasts first, and we will think of a solution for them later.”

”All right, I will try to save them, but my brother-in-law is more important than them, so I will focus on saving him first.” Zhang Chen could naturally understand Zhang Feiʼs decision, especially since he did not have a close relationship with the two men, and Zhang Wuji was their family since Zhang Lingxue was his wife.

”After my clone and the others have successfully saved my brother-in-law, we will go straight to the swamp forest to save Chi Yang first, and I hope he can survive the demon beasts until we get there.”

Seeing Chu Ying, Chu Xing, and Chu Qing continue to be sad, Zhang Fei decided to take them to another place to cheer them up. He actually also wanted to comfort Liu Qingyu, but all her family members still did not know their relationship, so he let Liu Hua and the others comfort her first, and he would see her later.

In the Diyu Realm, several people stood in front of the statue of the demon emperor. Morgana, who hugged Ozʼs arm the 1st directly spoke to him. ”Look at this statue, husband. This statue is clearly yours, so you should have no doubt that you are indeed the demon emperor of this realm.”

”Yes.” Oz the 1st then looked in various directions. ”Even though I canʼt remember anything about this realm, I have a very familiar feeling and longing for it, and this status proves that I was indeed born here.”

Morgana then pulled Oz the 1st to the side of the cliff. ”Even though it is in the lower realm, it is one of the most beautiful realms Iʼve ever visited, so I want to stay in it for a long time. Moreover, the phoenix princess has already sealed Shang Huaqiangʼs slave mark inside your soul, making it impossible for him to find you. Therefore, Iʼm considering the possibility of having children now.

Oz the 2nd, Ursula, Zygoz, and Tharnon, who heard that, immediately exchanged surprised glances. However, they immediately smiled at the thought of Oz the 1stʼs descendants, and they seemed to hope that it would happen soon.

”Haha.” Oz the 1st laughed and hugged Morganaʼs waist. ”Do you want children from me that much?”

”Thatʼs for sure, right?” Morgana responded by hugging her husbandʼs arm tighter. ”Weʼve been married for so long, so of course I want to have children from you. Unfortunately, Shang Huaqiangʼs control over you in the past prevented us from having children, but the situation has changed, so I want to have at least one in the near future.”

Oz the 1st turned and looked at Morgana with a smile full of tenderness, especially since she was the one who helped him recover his memories after Shang Huaqiang brainwashed him, and she had also accompanied him for so long that they finally became husband and wife. ”If you really want that, then I will grant your wish, and we can have children soon.”

”Hahaha.” Morgana laughed softly after she heard that.

They suddenly sensed a lot of demon auras coming towards them, but the first to appear in front of them was Feltia [2] along with the Amaris Twins.

The Amaris Twins were immediately shocked upon seeing Oz the 1st, particularly the White Amaris, who had used an artifact given by the winged race to send him to another realm.

The white Amaris was really scared to see Oz the 1st, so she immediately hid behind Feltia [2]. ʼUgh! The first demon emperor is still alive! He has even returned to this realm, and he will definitely kill me.ʼ

Even though the black Amaris was also shocked by the return of Oz the 1st, she didnʼt look the least bit afraid of him, especially since he never betrayed her like her twin sister, and longing actually appeared in her black eyes. ”Demon emperor, you are still alive.”

Oz the 1st immediately turned to the Amaris Twins, and a gentle smile appeared on his face unconsciously. However, Morgana glared at them sharply, especially the white Amaris, causing her to shiver in fear. After all, Tharnon had told her about her actions toward her husband, which had caused him to fall into Shang Huaqiangʼs hands.

Noticing this, Feltia [2] immediately spoke with Morgana. ”She did make a big mistake towards your husband, but her fate is no different from his now, and she has completely submitted to me, so you donʼt need to do anything to her.”

”I see.” Morgana nodded in understanding before speaking to the white Amaris. ”If it wasnʼt for him, I would have killed you right away. Since he and the phoenix princess saved my husband from the hands of those wicked guys, I would forget your mistakes for him.”

As she swallowed her saliva, the white Amaris nodded repeatedly, and she could tell that Morgana was not joking with her words. ʼPhew! Iʼm lucky I donʼt have to die today!ʼ

Soon, Aries and the other demon rulers landed at their location, especially since Feltia [2] asked them to come. All of them were shocked to see Oz the 1st, but they immediately kneeled and saluted him. ”Welcome back to this realm, Demon Emperor.”

Oz the 1st let out a soft sigh and lifted them all to their feet with his demon aura, but he then pointed at Oz the 2nd. ”He is the current demon emperor, so you guys should respect him. Moreover, I still donʼt remember you guys or this realm, and I donʼt want to be a demon emperor anymore. For now, I just want to live a quiet life with my wife, so I hope you all donʼt bother us.”

Aries and the others looked confused about it, and Feltia [2] immediately explained to them about Oz the 1stʼs situation, causing them to let out heavy sighs and glare at the white Amaris, who still looked frightened. ”Since you guys have gathered, letʼs go to the ancient floating castle, and we will discuss our next plans regarding the people from the Tian and Xian Realms.”
