”Eh?” Zhang Xiaolong was surprised by Xie Jingxianʼs status, and he immediately asked Pang Liyuan. ”Did you know that your wife is half demon?”

Instead, Pang Liyuan looked shocked by Zhang Xiaolongʼs question. ”Is my wife really a half demon, master?”

”Yes.” Zhang Xiaolong nodded at Pang Liyuan. ”Did you guys not know about it?”

”No.” Pang Liyuan responded with a shake of his head. ”All these years, we only knew that our ancestors had demon bloodlines, but they were all still humans, so no one knew that Jingxian was half demon.”

”Thatʼs weird.” Zhang Xialong then thought for a while before asking Pang Liyuan again. ”Do the people of the Xie clan have demon traits in them?”

Once again, Pang Liyuan shook his head at Zhang Xiaolong. ”My grandparents-in-law or parents-in-law do have shadow abilities that they got from those demons, but they donʼt have demon characteristics at all, so I was shocked when you said that Jingxian was a half demon, Master.”

”I see.” Zhang Xiaolong nodded in understanding. ”Did you know that your wife doesnʼt like your parents?”

Pang Liyuan nodded and immediately told Zhang Xiaolong about the reason behind Xie Jingxianʼs hatred towards Pang De and Mo Xuanqing, which was the result of their treatment of him, especially since they always put him aside and preferred his late brother. Even after his brother died at the hands of righteous cultivators, they still never treated him well, so his wife hated them so much.

Without any further questions, Zhang Xiaolong touched Xie Jingxianʼs chest, immediately implanting his demon slave mark into her soul and altering some of her memories to make her completely loyal to him, just like her husband and the others.

After he finished, Zhang Xiaolong immediately woke Xie Jingxian up, particularly since he had so many questions about her Xie clan.

Within a few minutes, Xie Jingxian had already opened her eyes, and she immediately sat in front of Zhang Xiaolong. ”What can I do for you, master?”

”I want you to explain to me how you became a half-demon.”

Xie Jingxian nodded before providing an explanation to Zhang Xiaolong. ”Master, my ancestor was one of the demons that once invaded this realm, and he was attracted to a woman from this region named Xie Yuanxin. Thatʼs why he took her as his woman and impregnated her, so their children were born as half-human and half-demon.

However, my ancestor died when the righteous cultivators retaliated against them, but he had already hidden his wife in a very safe place, and he also passed on many things related to his shadow demon race, including his shadow demon bloodline. Since then, all the descendants of my Xie Clan are half-demons, but she told us to never tell anyone, so no one would know about our other identities.”

”Does that mean Xie Yuanxin is still alive now?”

”No.” Xie Jingxian replied by shaking her head. ”Even though she got many things from her husband, including his shadow demon bloodline, she was still an ordinary human being, and she died because of old age, especially since her cultivation could not progress.”

Although he was still worried about the Xie Clan, Zhang Xiaolong felt a little relieved after hearing that, especially since he originally thought that Xie Yuanxin would be powerful if she was still alive. ”Doesnʼt that mean your clan should be stronger than the Pang Clan and the others?”

”Yes.” Xie Jingxian nodded to Zhang Xiaolong. ”In fact, my current ancestors are stronger than the ancestors of all those clans, but they have never shown their true strength, and they are waiting for the right time to reveal it.”

”Oh?” Zhang Xiaolong looked briefly at Pang Liyuan, who looked shocked by Xie Jingxianʼs words. ”If my guess is correct, your ancestors wanted to get rid of the others after they succeeded in taking over this realm, right?”

Xie Jingxian acknowledged Zhang Xiaolongʼs guess with a nod. ”My ancestors had planned this for a long time, especially if they failed to bring the demons from that realm back here. They intended to use them as sacrifices, especially since Chang Wuhen and the others would definitely fight them back if that happened.”

”Then what about your husband?” Zhang Xiaolong asked again as he pointed at Pang Liyuan.

Xie Jingxian immediately turned to Pang Liyuan before answering Zhang Xiaolong. ”I never liked them, especially my parents-in-law, so I donʼt care if they die. However, I love my husband very much, so I have asked my parents and ancestors not to let him die, and they have agreed to my request.”

”Youʼre lucky to have a wife who loves you so much, huh?” Pang Liyuan laughed awkwardly at Zhang Xiaolongʼs words. ”Jingxian, have your ancestors ever told you about the location of the fourth blood demon tree in the central region?”

”The tree should be on the northern edge of the central region, or more precisely, in the fallen moon cave, Master. However, my father-in-law used a camouflage artifact to disguise its location, so you might have a hard time finding it.”

”The area north of the central region, huh?” Zhang Xiaolong muttered as he nodded in understanding, especially since that area was the closest to the northern region. ”All right, you can return to the Xie clan, and I want you to keep me informed of your clanʼs plans.

As for Liyuan, I want you to go back to the Pang Clan to monitor those ancestors, and you must inform me immediately if they have come out of their seclusion.”

”Yes, Master.”

After the two departed, Mei immediately questioned Zhang Xiaolong. [Master, are you not going to keep Xie Jingxian by your side? Her cultivation is already at 5-Star Heaven Realm, and she is also half demon, so you can get a lot of Yin Qi and female essence from her.]

”Naturally, I want to keep Xie Jingxian by my side, Mei.” Zhang Xiaolong answered Mei with a soft sigh. ”However, the situation before us is still very serious, and the people from the Xie Clan will panic if she goes missing, so I donʼt want to make our situation worse. Thatʼs why I will use her to monitor her clan for the time being, and I will keep her by my side after everything is over.”

[Well, thatʼs true.]

After that, Zhang Xiaolong opened his map and checked the northern area of the central region for the fallen moon cave, but he couldnʼt find anything there, which confirmed Xie Jingxianʼs previous words.

However, Zhang Xiaolong suddenly frowned when he saw Pang Deʼs name on his map, especially since he was flying towards the fallen moon cave and his flying speed was so fast, indicating that he was in a hurry. ”Shit! They seem to have made other plans, and that bastard probably wants to move the tree somewhere else, so I have to get there first.”

Wasting no time, Zhang Xiaolong immediately opened a portal to the Blazing Phoenix Sect before jumping into it, and he immediately used the Nine Cloud Steps to go to the fallen moon cave.

.

In just a few minutes, Zhang Xiaolong had arrived at the place, but he was amazed by the beauty of the place, especially since the cave was filled with beautiful crystals, and Mei told him that they were moon crystals, which could be used to forge equipment.

Although he was interested in getting those moon crystals, Zhang Xiaolong immediately ignored them and rushed into the fallen moon cafe. However, the place was already filled with demon miasma, but the map still canʼt detect the fourth blood demon tree.

”Hmm?” This cave seems really deep, and the tree must be at the end.” Zhang Xiaolong muttered to himself as he continued to follow the path in the cave, and he also continued to absorb the demon miasma into his body.

Sometime later, Zhang Xiaolong arrived at the end of the cave, but he didnʼt immediately walk forward and check whether Pang De had set a trap or not. He then took a moon crystal and threw it forward, but it didnʼt hit anything. ”Oh? That idiot didnʼt even set up a formation because he was too confident that his camouflage artifact would hide this tree.”

Zhang Xiaolong immediately summoned the demon extermination sword and used his light qi before approaching the fourth blood demon tree, and he immediately said so as soon as he arrived in front of it. ”Hey, demon! I know youʼre hiding in this tree, and Iʼve killed your other three friends, so you can come out now.”

Soon, black smoke emerged from within the tree, transforming into a demon that resembled a buffalo. However, Zhang Xiaolong immediately thrust his sword, coated in light qi, towards the demon, causing it to roar in pain. Stop it! This light power is killing me!”

”Are you deaf?” Zhang Xiaolong inquired as he stabbed his sword deeper into the demonʼs body, then extended his left hand towards it. ”I told you before that I killed your three friends, so I came here to kill you too.”

”No... No... Please donʼt kill me!”

”Iʼve met quite a few demons, but this is the first time Iʼve met such a coward demon, and your three friends are much better than you.” After he said that, Zhang Xiaolong immediately used the demon absorbing ability, sucked the demonʼs soul into his body, and uprooted the fourth blood demon tree without delay. ”Haha!

Iʼm sure that idiot will be furious upon discovering that this tree has disappeared. Open the gate to the Diyu Realm, Mei.”

Before he went to that realm, Zhang Xiaolong first sent a message to Yang Yudie and told her that he had successfully obtained the fourth blood demon tree. In addition, he also informed Liu Qingyu about the matter, and he asked her to evacuate the Chu Clan members and his family, as he thought that Pang De might look for him in the western region.

[Alrighty.]

.

.

Like the previous three blood demon trees, Zhang Xiaolong also asked Milia to take him to the Dryad garden, and he planted it there while he absorbed the demon miasma that had filled the garden again.

After that, Zhang Xiaolong immediately disappeared from the Dryad garden, causing Milia to sigh heavily, especially since she wanted to ask him a few things. ”Sigh! That human always comes and goes like a ghost, and he never stays here for long.”

However, Zhang Xiaolong did not return to the Sky Jade Realm right away; he chose to go to Angelaʼs sub-realm, especially since it was almost time for the day to change in that realm, and he had promised to meet her.

Arriving in front of the portal, Zhang Xiaolong first transformed into his demon fox form, and he immediately entered Angelaʼs sub-realm. He was no longer surprised to see her sub-realm, which was entirely ocean, especially since she had told him about it before, and there was only one small island with a shell palace on it, which was where she lived.

”Actually, this sub-realm is more beautiful than the northern sea, but she is indeed such a kind demon, and she often visits that place just for the sake of those aquatic demon beasts.”

Suddenly, a giant flying demon fish shot out from the sea towards Zhang Xiaolong, but he just shook his head and released his heavenly fox aura, which caused it to instantly cower in fear. ”I came here at Angelaʼs invitation, so you better not attack me because I donʼt want to hurt her subordinates.”

However, Angela suddenly appeared in the middle of them and asked the giant flying demon fish to return to its place, and she then spoke to Zhang Xiaolong. ”Thank you for not killing him.”

”You donʼt need to thank me, you know?” That made Angela smile sweetly. ”Anyway, I donʼt have anything else to do for the time being, so I decided to visit you. However, I canʼt stay for too long, and I have to leave again later.”

”I donʼt think thatʼs a problem.” Angela then led Zhang Xiaolong to her clam palace. ”Letʼs go there, so we can talk more comfortably, especially since I still have a lot of questions for you.”

When they arrived there, Angela served Zhang Xiaolong a drink, but he found it strange that it was black. ”It may look bad, but you can try it first. I made it from several kinds of plants in this realm, and Iʼm sure youʼll like it, especially since itʼs so refreshing.”

Zhang Xiaolong immediately tasted the drink, which was indeed very refreshing, so he drank it in one go without thinking twice. ”You are right—this drink tastes refreshing despite its unusual color.”

”Haha.” Angela laughed softly upon hearing that, and she started asking Zhang Xiaolong many questions, almost all of which he answered.

Even so, there were some questions from Angela that Zhang Xiolong was reluctant to answer, making her look a little disappointed, but she did not force him to answer.

.

.

.

While Zhang Xiaolong was enjoying his time with Angela, time passed quite quickly in the Sky Jade Realm, and Pang De finally arrived at the fallen moon cave.

However, his expression turned panicky once he didnʼt see the demon miasma in that place, so he immediately rushed to the caveʼs inner area, and he immediately became furious after not finding the fourth blood demon tree.

*Boom*

Instantly, Pang Deʼs aura exploded, and all the muscles on his body bulged out as his anger took over him. ”Fuck! I bet it was that bastard who stole the tree from me! I must find him in the western region to take it back, or Ancestor Wachun will punish me severely!”
