“So that’s how it is, the one who should have ‘returned’ to the Reincarnation Seal was supposed to be Lady Onion. When the time was ripe—after Lady Onion’s cycle of reincarnation ended, she would return to the Reincarnation Seal, feed back her life’s experiences to it, becoming a part of the ‘Reincarnation System’ completion.”

“Moreover, Lady Onion was the final stop for the completion of the ‘Reincarnation System’… which means, after her return, the Fifth Heavenly Dao would no longer continue with the reincarnation and transmigration project.”

“Because the entire Reincarnation System was nearing perfection. Unless something unexpected occurred, the system could meet the needs of the myriad practitioners in the universe. Therefore, after Lady Onion’s return, the Fifth Heavenly Dao’s Reincarnation Cycle would be sealed, forming a perfect loop, with beginning and end interlocking like an Ouroboros, transforming into a circle.”

“And this was why the clone Song Two had an intuitive hunch, feeling that once Lady Onion returned, she would completely disappear. Because once Lady Onion returned, it marked the end of the Fifth Heavenly Dao’s cycle of reincarnation. So, it gave Song Two’s clone a kind of illusion.”

“In fact, under normal circumstances, after Lady Onion’s cycle of reincarnation ended, she, like previous avatars of the Fifth Heavenly Dao, would return to the Reincarnation Seal, guarding the Six Paths of Reincarnation, becoming part of the Reincarnation System which is an aspect of the Fifth Heavenly Dao. Essentially, it’s almost like returning home to inherit the throne.”

“But because of the misunderstanding caused by this intuition, as Lady Onion was about to be consumed, Song Two’s clone forcefully pushed her away, taking her place in returning to the Reincarnation Seal…”

“The life experiences of Song Two’s clone merged into the ‘Reincarnation,’ becoming a part of completing the Reincarnation System… However, he was not Lady Onion, not an incarnation of the Fifth Heavenly Dao Reincarnation. So, he couldn’t become the last part of the Fifth Heavenly Dao’s Reincarnation Cycle, the final bite of the Ouroboros didn’t quite latch on.”

“Fortunately… from what we see now, the Reincarnation Seal is very satisfied with the life experiences of Song Two’s clone. So instead of directly grinding him into dust, it took him in, allowing him to stay within the Reincarnation Seal and even giving him the chance to be nourished by the immortal information.”

When it came to ‘life experiences’ and ‘understandings of death,’ Song Shuhang had confidence in himself.

He didn’t dare say he was the one who died the most throughout history, but over the past year, his number of deaths definitely topped the charts in the myriad realms.

These painful past experiences are an additional harvest for the Fifth Heavenly Dao’s perfection of the ‘Reincarnation System.’ So, even though the last bite of the Ouroboros wasn’t securely fastened, the Reincarnation Seal still treated Song Two’s clone kindly.

“Although the Reincarnation Seal is very satisfied with the life experiences of Song Two’s clone, Lady Onion still needs to be found,” Song Shuhang gently pressed on the ‘Reincarnation Seal’ and nodded his head.

No one can replace the significance of Lady Onion’s existence.

Now that Lady Onion has disappeared… she might have reached the ‘distant future,’ perhaps appearing at some node there.

“I will find a way to bring her back,” Song Shuhang promised to the Reincarnation Seal.

Bringing back Lady Onion isn’t about having her immediately end her ‘reincarnation’ and return to the Reincarnation Seal.

There are two conditions for returning to the Reincarnation Seal.

One is the natural end of Lady Onion’s life cycle, the completion of her onion life.

The other is for Lady Onion to step onto the immortal path, to prove her Dao and become an immortal onion.

After proving her Dao and attaining immortality, there would be more choices available. Lady Onion could choose to return in her onion form, or ‘cut’ out the Fifth Heavenly Dao Reincarnation Light, letting that Reincarnation Light carry the mark of her life cycle back to the Reincarnation Seal.

Song Shuhang hoped to have Lady Onion return to the Reincarnation Seal through the second method—so, if he found Lady Onion, he would use all his efforts, resources, and connections to develop her. He was determined to make her prove her Dao and achieve immortality in the shortest possible time!

After receiving Tyrannical Song’s promise, the energy inside the Reincarnation Seal churned joyfully. She had a good impression of Tyrannical Song and was willing to believe his promise at this moment.

The task of finding Lady Onion, she gladly entrusted to Tyrannical Song.

To facilitate future contact, the Reincarnation Seal left a ‘mark’ on Tyrannical Song’s arm.

Then, Song Shuhang’s consciousness returned.

The Reincarnation Blade Fairy gently led him, as his consciousness left the Reincarnation Seal and returned to the Reincarnation Hall on Ancestor Star.

…

…

In the Su Clan’s Ancestral Star, within the Reincarnation Hall.

Song Shuhang’s entire body once again entered the pure lustrous body state, in which all his immortal yuan was transformed into a ‘Sub-immortal’ state within his glass-like body.

The Sub-immortal energy incessantly circulated within his lustrous body, as beautiful as a work of art.

“It’s a success,” The White Dragon murmured softly.

She knew that with Tyrannical Song taking action, he would never return empty-handed.

To this point, Song Shuhang had assembled the immortal information from the 2nd to the 8th Heavenly Dao… Soon after, he would gain an additional cheat from the 8.5th Heavenly Daozi.

“Yes, it was a success,” Song Shuhang opened his eyes, the flawless state of his glass-like body slowly fading away.

“Can you now explain what’s going on? Why was your clone in the Reincarnation Seal?” the voice of the Reincarnation Blade Fairy resonated from his hand.

“Fairy, please be patient,” Song Shuhang released his grip, letting go of the blade.

The Reincarnation Blade Fairy transformed into her human form, her dazzling red hair flying about.

“My ‘clone’ entering the Reincarnation Seal was actually due to a ‘misunderstanding’. It should have been my… dear friend Lady Onion who was supposed to return to the Reincarnation Seal, but since my clone did not understand the situation, thinking that Lady Onion might encounter an accident, he pushed her aside and took her place. Then, he was absorbed by the Reincarnation Seal,” Song Shuhang explained.

The White Dragon: “…”

Since when did Lady Onion become your dear friend?

And how could Lady Onion be related to the ‘Fifth Heavenly Dao’?

There’s so much information here.

“After being absorbed by the Reincarnation Seal, the ‘lifetime experiences’ of my clone were also absorbed, becoming material to perfect the Reincarnation. I believe, Fairy, your familiarity with me and the feeling toward my techniques all stem from this,” Song Shuhang added.

The Reincarnation Blade Fairy tapped her chin thoughtfully, nodding slightly.

“Regarding Lady Onion, you can rest assured, Fairy. I will find a way to bring her back,” Song Shuhang continued.

He glossed over some content while explaining his clone.

The ‘Ouroboros’ Reincarnation of the Fifth Heavenly Dao might likely trigger a temporal loop.

The disappearance of clone Song Two in the main world was an event that happened this year, yet the time he spent inside the Reincarnation Seal was entirely unsynchronized with the main world. This was also why he reacted so emotionally upon meeting with his main body.

However, these aspects are something the Reincarnation Blade Fairy might understand even more about, and so Song Shuhang didn’t waste too many words on them.

“So, essentially, the ‘immortal information’ of the Fifth Heavenly Dao has belonged to you all along. Your coming here was just a formality,” The White Dragon said.

The clones of the Tyrannical Song family and those of Fellow Daoist White’s family shared a curious similarity. Both belonged to a very capable series, where the main body could just lie down and relax while the clone silently took care of everything, an enviable situation.

Song Shuhang gave a sheepish smile, then he turned his gaze toward Sixteen’s location.

“The evolution aspect for Sixteen, I can also lend her a helping hand,” Song Shuhang extended an arm, revealing the mark of the Reincarnation Seal.
