Chapter 2694: You’re My Side account

Upon hearing the words of the Celestial Thearch, the white-robed senior’s hands involuntarily stiffened. The long-haired rabbit in his grasp felt the pain, its legs kicking as it leaped away.

“You want to pass the position of the Heavenly Emperor to me?” The white-robed Tribulation Transcender couldn’t believe his ears. “Is something wrong with my ears?”

He had pondered many reasons why the Celestial Thearch would come to the island to see him, imagining various possibilities, but he never expected the Celestial Thearch to say such words.

The position of the Heavenly Emperor symbolized a path to immortality, one of the most potent paths at that. When fully mastered, it could rival that of the Scholarly Sage.

But now, the Celestial Thearch wanted to pass on this throne to him?

Furthermore, if he were to inherit the position of the Heavenly Emperor, what about the Celstial Thearch herself? Did she have another new path to immortality?

“You heard correctly. I no longer desire this position of the Heavenly Emperor, so I’m prepared to pass it on to you,” the Celestial Thearch’s slender legs swayed gently as she reaffirmed her words.

The white-robed Tribulation Transcender stared at the Heavenly Emperor for a long moment, realizing that she wasn’t joking. She truly intended to pass on the position of the Heavenly Emperor.

“Why me?” After a brief moment of contemplation, the white-robed Tribulation Transcender calmly inquired.

After the ancient Heavenly Court’s collapse, its members either perished or scattered. Among the survivors, many, like him, secretly collected fragments of the Heavenly Court and established their own domains.

For example, he knew that the ancient Heavenly City’s Zither Master had gathered numerous Heavenly City fragments and was attempting to restore it.

Under the leadership of the Fengyi Zither Master, many Tribulation

Transcenders and Profound Sages of the Heavenly Court had congregated.

There were also a few ‘Four Directions Great Emperors’ from the former Heavenly Court who seemed active and had not perished.

If the Heavenly Emperor intended to pass down the throne, the Fengyi Zither Master and the Four Great Emperors were undoubtedly more suitable candidates than him.

“The answer is simple. It’s because I’ll only be at ease if you inherit the Heavenly Emperor’s throne,” the Celestial Thearch smiled, gently touching her crimson lips. “There are surviving celestial cultivators stronger and more experienced than you. However, they’ve ascended to the Immortal Realm and

are no longer suitable to inherit my throne.”

The white-robed Tribulation Transcender remained silent. Clearly, the

Celestial Thearch’s explanation didn’t fully satisfy him.

Humans were such complex beings. Sometimes, despite receiving something they’ve long pursued, doubts would inevitably arise.

“Your expression of disbelief… Sometimes, 1 wonder, can’t there be more trust between people?” The Celestial Thearch crossed her legs, sitting up straight.

After a long silence, the white-robed Tribulation Transcender suddenly spoke, “Ever since the Heavenly City’s collapse, I’ve felt something was amiss… I seem to possess knowledge and techniques unknown to other Heavenly Court members. For instance, the technology to repair the fragments of the ancient Heavenly City and the means to rebuild new areas. Additionally, I even understand how to gather potential cultivators from across the world and train them into Seventh Stage Venerables, constructing a new palace on this island using illusions.”

Initially, his goal was merely to reach the Ninth Stage Tribulation Transcender Realm and embark on his path to immortality. He had been so focused on this goal that he hadn’t delved deeper into his thoughts. Or perhaps, there was a subconscious barrier preventing him from doing so.

Now, facing the Heavenly Emperor and her proposal to pass down the throne, the more he pondered, the more he realized something was peculiar about himself.

He knew too much… He couldn’t recall where he acquired this knowledge and these techniques, or who taught them to him. Nonetheless, his mind was filled with inexplicable knowledge.

And this knowledge and technology were beyond the grasp of ordinary members of the ancient Heavenly Court!

“So, who am l?” The white-robed Tribulation Transcender gazed at the Heavenly Emperor expressionlessly.

“I didn’t expect you to finally figure it out,” the Celestial Thearch leaned forward slightly. “Actually, you’re my backup account! I created your alternate profile long ago, waiting for a situation like today to arise.” The white-robed Tribulation Transcender was speechless.

Me, an alt account?

He was stunned for a moment.

However, upon careful consideration, if he truly was the Heavenly Emperor’s alt account… everything seemed to make sense now.

The inexplicable knowledge and techniques in his possession, as well as the reason why the Heavenly Emperor wished to pass the throne to him, could all be explained by his status as an alt account!

“You actually believed it?” The Celestial Thearch was suddenly dumbfounded.

The white-robed Tribulation Transcender was speechless.

“As expected, sometimes, honest words are less convincing than casual lies,” the Celestial Thearch leaned back in her chair, speaking gently. “Rest assured, the thing I detest most in life is creating

alt accounts. Therefore, I wouldn’t create a restricted account and let them live as a puppet.”

The white-robed Tribulation Transcender sensed a hint of sadness in the Heavenly Emperor’s words.

“Before establishing the ancient Heavenly City, you were my disciple. I taught you all your knowledge and techniques,” the Celestial Thearch stood up, gently placing her hand on the white-robed Tribulation Transcender’s head, stroking it like an elder. “The reason you can’t recall your past is because I secretly sealed your memories. I was afraid you’d be implicated or involved in disasters during the process of building the Heavenly Court.”

The white-robed Tribulation Transcender:  “???”

This answer was even more shocking than the revelation of being the Heavenly Emperor’s alt account.

At that moment, the Heavenly Emperor reached out and gently removed the metal mask from the white-robed Tribulation Transcender’s face, revealing an ordinary visage. “After the establishment of the ancient Heavenly City, I secretly brought you into the Heavenly City and allowed you to join as a newcomer. Then, I established your own celestial palace within the ancient Heavenly City. Since then, no one in the myriad worlds knows you are my disciple. ”

Beneath the metal mask, this ordinary face remained expressionless.

“Also, have you ever wondered why you haven’t embarked on the path to immortality? Even your disciple stepped onto his own path after the collapse of the ancient Heavenly City and attained immortality… As your master, you’ve been trapped in the Tribulation Transcender realm,” the Celestial Thearch smiled.

“Is this also related to the position of the Heavenly Emperor?” The white-robed Tribulation Transcender asked expressionlessly.

“Indeed, because everything you’ve learned was taught by me, and everything 1 know is related to the Dao of the Heavenly Emperor’. After learning all from me, you are limited by the Heavenly Court’s Heavenly Emperor Dao. Before 1 stepped down from the position of Heavenly Emperor, I had reached the pinnacle of this path to immortality. Naturally, you were unable to take the step to immortality,” the Heavenly Emperor explained. “Unless you abandon what you’ve learned or deduce a new Great Dao from the Path of the Heavenly Emperor, just like your disciple Silver Trigram..”
