Chapter 105: A Lost Martial Technique

Joseph clasped his hands in prayer:Thank God! His wish was finally fulfilled.

Thirty years ago, when he was young, he liked watching martial arts movies. Since then, he prayed day and night that God would give him a chance to appreciate the real Chinese Kung Fu, the kind of martial art with which one was able to walk on snow without leaving any traces and summon a golden dragon with a single palm! Then, he would finally see what he had been dreaming of.

However, he had been praying for it for over a decade! Ten years as one day! Every day, after he fell asleep, he dreamed about falling down a cliff and finding some magical technique there, or entering the depths of some mountains for adventure and meeting a white-haired old man who then transmitted him all of his martial power, and so on.

Unfortunately, God was so busy that he kept ignoring his small wish.

Now, twenty years later, even his daughter had grown into a beautiful girl. He almost forgot about this wish. But, now, thank God, he recalled this wish that he used to stick to for ten years.

Joseph didn’t bother Song Shuhang, because as described in martial arts movies, it was impolite to disturb people when they were practicing Kung Fu.

Therefore, he just sat beside silently, watching Song Shuhang finishing the whole set of fist technique.

❄️❄️❄️

In fact, as soon as the foreigner stepped into this deserted classroom, Shuhang had already noticed him.

However, at that moment, his ❮Basic Buddhist Fist Technique❯ had reached the final stage. If he stopped, all his practice would be in vain, and the effect of qi and blood pill would be wasted.

Anyway, he didn’t have to worry that the guy would steal his fist technique. He could tolerate the foreigner as long as he didn’t take photos with his cell phone.

From noon to now, he had taken the second qi and blood pill. Today, he practiced ❮Basic Buddhist Fist Technique❯ for the seventh time and the effect was remarkable.

Well, he had to wait longer than he expected, as he used qi and blood pills to help his cultivation...

After finishing the last two strokes, he sat down and ran ❮True Self Meditation Scripture❯.

...He didn’t expect that he still got found by someone even if he had hidden in this remote abandoned school building. Maybe he should find another place to cultivate next time.

After sending the qi and blood into his heart aperture, Shuhang slowly opened his eyes. The cultivation had finished.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw that that tall foreigner was squatting in front and not far away from him with an ingratiating smile on his face. Shuhang felt his fist was throbbing, he really wanted to give him a punch!

”Master, have you finished yet?” still with that ingratiating smile, the foreigner tried to greet him with awkward Chinese.

Corners of his mouth twitching, Song Shuhang waved. ”Hello.”

”Master, may I learn Chinese Kung Fu from you?” full of anticipation, the foreigner even struck the classic pose of the famous Kung Fu Master—Huang Feihong. Chinese Kung Fu had always been his dream since he was a child,‘Come on, let’s use Nunchakus... leap onto roofs and vault over walls!’1

”...” Song Shuhang rubbed his temple. He himself was a rookie. How could he teach others? Besides, the copyright on ❮Basic Buddhist Fist Technique❯ didn’t belong to him. He couldn’t even teach his own father. How could he teach a foreigner?

He made an excuse, ”Sorry... I’m not allowed to teach my ancestral Kung Fu to others.”

”I, can~ take you as my master! If it’s not enough, you can even list me into your genealogy! I understand Chinese rules, though just a little bit!” the foreigner said earnestly and ingratiatingly. In order to learn Kung Fu, he was willing to stake everything he had.

Even if you don’t mind being listed into my genealogy, I don’t feel like it!Song Shuhang sighed. ”I’m sorry, but I’m not qualified to accept a disciple.”

”You could accept me as a ’nominal disciple’. Then~ teach me several strokes first! What do you think of it?” the foreigner insisted.

”No, even a nominal disciple is someone I’m not qualified to accept!” Song Shuhang refused flatly.

However, the foreigner didn’t wanna give up.

Chinese Kung Fu, the real Chinese Kung Fu! With it, one could make the air snap-and-crackle with a single punch!

How can I just give up my Chinese Kung Fu dream that I have been dreaming of since I was a child!

This was a foreign overage teenager who had been poisoned by China’s martial arts movies.

He kept begging Song Shuhang. It’s alright even if I just manage to learn several strokes from the little master today! I have to learn something from him, or I will regret it for the rest of my life!

❄️❄️❄️

It never occurred to Shuhang that he would eventually accept the ‘nominal disciple’ called Joseph Guy Maupassant.

Today, Song Shuhang finally experienced the horror of ‘clinginess’. It would be fine if the opposite party was a pretty girl, but no, he was not facing a pretty girl but a middle-aged uncle. What a terrible experience!

In the end, Song Shuhang seriously taught Joseph a lost martial technique ❮The Times are Calling❯.

Perhaps a lot of people were not familiar with this name. It still had another name.

Many, many years ago, middle school students in China called it ‘Second Chapter of the Calisthenics Radio Music’...

Every morning, as the music was broadcasted, all elementary and middle school students had to get out of their classrooms, go to the playground, mark time, line up, and then start to exercise the calisthenics to the rhythm of the music.

Actually, the set of calisthenics was a bit like martial arts.

”One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight; two, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight... four, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight! Good, one more time! Follow the beat, to the rhythm, with the standard postures! One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight...” Song Shuhang chanted and exercised the full set of ❮The Times are Calling❯ calisthenics with the standard postures!

Joseph was so happy as if he had found some treasure... He tried to imitate all the postures of Song Shuhang from beginning to end.

He learnt quite quickly. After Song Shuhang taught him twice, he almost managed to master all the postures!

”This lost martial technique is a basic one. You can keep exercising it. When you feel a warm air flow in your body, then you have entered the world of Kung Fu!” with a serious face, Song Shuhang said to his ’disciple’.

The calisthenics were good for health. By practicing them, one might not be able to become a martial arts master, but could definitely build up his body.

”Yes, Master! I will do it thirty times a day!” Joseph shouted out loud, eyes shining.

Th-thirty times? Oh, you are really a man with perseverance.

”Ahem!” Song Shuhang couldn’t help clearing his throat and patted the shoulder of his ‘disciple’. ”Try your best. I have faith in you!”

Then, he clasped his hands behind his back and swaggered away from the abandoned school building—with the demeanor that a real master would have.

Behind him, Joseph nodded very hard, his eyes full of excitement.

One day, can I also make the air ‘snap-and-crackle’ with a single punch, like what Master did just now?

Oh, I can’t wait to see it!

”Woohoo, I feel so energetic. Let me do it again! One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight... Two, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight!” Joseph was seriously practicing this ‘lost martial technique’, dreaming of the day when he finally became a Kung Fu master!

The future was so bright!

Unfortunately... he was seeing the bright future through glass. He could see it but couldn’t touch it.

❄️❄️❄️

After leaving the abandoned school building, Song Shuhang breathed a sigh in relief. ”I have never seen a man as ‘clingy’ as him. Fortunately, I had learned the calisthenics very carefully, or else I would have nothing to teach him.”

”Titter... Little Shuhang, I didn’t expect that you can be so bad sometimes.” At this time, Riverly Purple Mist suddenly appeared beside Song Shuhang, snickering.

”Lady Purple Mist, why are you here?” Song Shuhang found that he couldn’t sense Riverly Purple Mist approaching even if he maintained his mental energy in the ‘vigilance’ mode.

All these seniors are unfathomable.

”Haha, I’m here to send you something from Medicine Master. He has been gone as he had something to deal with and will be back in several days, so you can have some rest these days.” Riverly Purple Mist pulled out an iron-framed folding fan and handed it to Song Shuhang.

”What is this?” Song Shuhang took this iron fan over.Good God, it’s so heavy!

”A fire-controlling magical treasure. Hasn’t Medicine Master told you that he would give you one to let you to get familiar with it?” Riverly Purple Mist raised her eyebrows and smiled.
